    Good Protection, annoying popups

The BitDefender Total Security suite is a good protection suite that offers virus scan and app scanning. It comes with free (limited data) VPN, and offers web and app protection. All of these features work well and as intended. My issue is the absolute annoying amount of popups and "reminders" that come up whenever you do almost anything on your phone. If you are on a site that even mentions the word "bank" the app prompts you to use the secure protection to protect your data. The popups for using the VPN, scans, and almost anything that you do on your phone make the experience just annoying.

    So-so Software. Scummy company.

Ok AV software. Scummy business that automatically registers you for auto-renew and makes it a pain in the rear to unsubscribe - using cheap gimmicks like hiding links, repeated prompting after you request unsubscribe. Makes you wonder why they need to resort to this and what they think of you as a customer…

Too many ads popping up from bitdefender

Bitdefender's self-advertising is almost like malware. Even when I turn off notifications, it still pops up ads throughout the day as they push their other products. It's frustrating, not only for the distraction, but also because it changes the focus window. When I'm typing in a document, suddenly my keyboard stops working. Then I realize the popup shifted the focus window to itself, and I have to click back in my document. Supposedly they have good protection, but after a week of using this, I'm beginning to hate this application.

Very pleased with the functionality. It absolutely blows away Kaspersky. And gives you the ability to clean your system and speed up your PC. Awesome!!

    Poor customer support

I have used Bitdefender for years and had a good experience over time. The past December, one of my email accounts, phone, and bank accounts got hacked. I was notified via email by the bank that changes were being made. My wife informed me that my number showed a different number when I called her. My passwords stoped working for an email account that I use regularly. I immediately called customer service about what I needed to do, and I was asked, "What would you like for us to do?" I was confused. They gave no advice and told me there was nothing they could do for me if I got hacked. I thought that was their specialty. Customer service was very short with me, and then we hung up. I expected warnings and alarms to go off when this nightmare first started. Instead, I got a shoulder shrug.

    Bitdefender Total Security 2019

I downloaded the program - I attempted to install. It told me to uninstall Norton, and I did a complete uninstall and proceeded with the installation of Bitdefender. I thought it was installed - so it said. It asked me to create an account, which I did. It said to complete the install, I had to reboot. I did. I tried to sign on to my account, which I had just previously created, and it said my account didn't exist. I tried to add an account again - it said I already had an account. Could I run the program? No. Ok - something wasn't right. I tried to install the program again. It went through everything all over again... but left me right where I was before only my computer was VERY SLOW. So I rebooted again... then it got hung up. At this point, I was done with Bitdefender - so I uninstalled it. I rebooted and then reinstalled Norton, and now all is right with my computer and I feel it is secure - as it was before I tried using Bitdefender. Too much hassle just to get it installed. Not worth my time and effort.

I installed this on one device, and decided not to install on anymore after using it. I installed this on a google laptop, real easy to set up, download and install. Once installed I started the configurations, I set up a parental account, I liked that I could put different child accounts and set them up to what privacy settings I wanted for each child. Than I tried to set up all the main privacy settings. I tried to activate the anti-theft and no matter what it doesn’t activate. That’s my main problem with it. The virus scan works, I knew I didn’t have any due to it is a brand new laptop so the scan said no viruses. Everything else seems fine with it. Because the anti-theft feature didn’t work on my laptop I decided not to install on any other devices, that is great feature to have without it working I don’t feel I have everything out of this Security service.

Purchased Bitdefender Total Security for the first time. I have been using Kaspersky for years and decided to switch to save money. Unfortunately, unlike Kaspersky, Bitdefender slowed down my computer considerably.

This Prius only a comeon. You load the software and then Bitdefender charges you $20 per month. You didn’t buy anything and Best Buy says well It’s software and we cannot refund your money. It’s a ripoff!!
