This B&D coffeemaker fulfills my needs quite well. I'm not a gourmet, nor do I need all kinds of fancy options. My main motivation for getting a new coffeemaker was to have an auto-shutoff feature. I usually remember to shut off the coffeemaker, but I used to worry about it with my old basic one.

I bought this coffee makes hoping for one that made good coffee and worked well. It does make good coffee, and has a readable clock which I use and prefer, but it has many down sides. The lid does not fit tight so tons of steam comes out the top during the full brew cycle. When this happens water flows from the sides to the counter top below. It can make quite a mess. And being so much steam is generated the coffee maker delivers only a little over ten cups when twelve cups was poured in. Spend a bit more as I did and you will get a great coffee maker. As for this one, I have it packed away and it has been replaced by a Krups machine that works very well. I would stay away from this one.

I wanted a simple basic coffee maker that didn't bust my wallet. This is a perfect choice. It brews the coffee really well, the only item you need to buy extra is the filter. I bought one of those re-usable filter tubs with the handle so I don't have to mess with paper filters. If you're looking for something simple, sturdy and to the point, this is the one for you.

I wanted to replace a coffee maker that I have had for a long time...and this one fit the bill!! It only has a timer on it, but features that I have never had in a coffee maker.....I always but just the basic coffeemaker....I actually bought this for selfish reasons, not a gift for someone, but I actually bought this for my family......thanks Bestbuy!!!
