The build on this keyboard is very good. From the frame to the switches there is nothing left to be desired. However the same cannot be said for the Razer chroma software. With no on board memory, lighting and your profiles will not be loaded in when you start up your pc or plug when you plug it into another device. For the price of the keyboard, the functionality it should not be dependent on the Razer Chroma app.

This keyboard is top notch. Excellent quality, clicky switches, and RGB! Fully customizable with Razer software, and it allows you to pass through a USB device and headset as well, so your desk will be more organized. Also, the palm rest is so comfortable! I love this keyboard.

I really enjoy the distinct Razer’s Green mechanical switches that the BlackWidow is equipped with. The keyboard has an improved dual sidewall that allows for better consistency and stability in the keys, and should also result in less water and dust entering the gaps between keys.

My first purchase in 2014 was razer garb; a deathstalker keyboard. this is a massive and much-needed upgrade and I love it. The razer Greens are a bit loud but they feel good. The included wrist wrest is amazing and comfortable and the built in cable raceway makes it easy to plug in my mouse and or any other device.

Wow, a real feel keyboard like old times when PC started to boom, plus fancy lights. But some keys like @ won’t glow.

Great mechanical keyboard and the Razer apps do wonders for your pc that you get for free to clean and speed up the PC that in most cases you would be paying out of pocket or downloading a half ok app with Ads in the hopes to do the same but never does. well worth the money

The keyboard has a great and profound click that is very satisfying to hear. Nevertheless if you are getting this for an office, everyone in the room will hear you type. If you are getting this product as an upgrade to your "mancave" it is an exceptional addition to the gaming setup.

So far the keyboard is amazing. First time having a mechanical keyboard and the feeling is amazing. Build quality seems solid too. I was able to snag this on sale for $84.99 so that made it 100x better. I would 10/10 recommend this keyboard. Hopefully it lasts a while.

Pro's: 1) Love the backlighting that makes the letters easy to read. 2) Love the extra USB port. 3) Supporting software (eventually) loads without requiring CDROM. Con's: 1) Not all the letters are backlit? Why? The extra letters are printed in gray against black, which is hard to read. If you are going to backlight, why not backlight ALL the letters? Now I have to remember where the letters are if my room lighting is dim. Very frustrating. 2) The second USB port REQUIRES A SECOND USB CABLE TO BE PLUGGED IN! LED lighting should not require so much power as to cripple a second USB port without requiring another cable to take up valuable space in my USB hub! 3) If you are going to provide a spare USB port, WHY NOT A SECOND SPARE PORT? 4) Packaging: A clear plastic cover protects MOST of the keys, but inexplicably goes UNDER several keys making it difficult to remove with completely popping the keys OFF of the keyboard. Completely unnecessary and makes removal of the keyboard from the packaging frustrating. Keyboard seems well made and while I thought the tactile "click" would be more annoying, it has not been a major inconvenience. I find the USB limitations and lack of backlighting of some characters much more annoying. The palm rest is comfortable and I like that it appears to be held in place magnetically. I also like that the drivers and support app are installable on detection, as my laptop does not have a CDROM drive for installing. Will I buy this again? Not sure, given the backlighting issue.
