Many appreciate the satisfying key feel and ease of use, along with the extensive customization options. However, some users experienced issues with the software and the volume knob's reliability. I have been using this keyboard for the past couple weeks and I can not stop singing its praises. Yes it has the responsive "Clicky Keys". Yes it has programmable RGB lighting. Yes it has media controls and programmable macros. Yes it has USB pass through and even a headphone pass through. But the most notable feature that I notice is that this might be the most comfortable keyboard that I have ever owned. The ergonomics of the keyboard when paired with the magnetic wrist rest is simply a thing of beauty. I have used this keyboard as both my office keyboard for business work and during long gaming sessions and it is right at home anywhere you take it. I would even go as far as saying that my hands feel more relaxed after long sessions behind the keyboard then stressed from all the use they have been through to actually achieve what I have set down to get done. Set up is easy. Its a keyboard. Plug in the USB connections. Plug in the headphone connection for the pass through. Download the Razer App.Organize your cables using the provided routing channels formed into the bottom of the keyboard. Then go forth and be prosperous in the online gaming world. As with anything, there are some areas that I would like to see improvement. First and foremost is the app. The color assignments are not very intuitive as it is difficult to assign custom color setups the way you may want to. Other companies have far exceeded the user friendliness of the Razer app and I would honestly just scrap the program and start fresh if I had a direct line to Razer. But I don't. So I will just invest more time into learning the program and hopefully I will get the desired result. Secondly, the pass through connections are on the left side of the keyboard. The left may be fine for the headset, but I would believe that a majority of people using a mouse will have the mouse in their right hand, so I think it would be much more efficient to place the USB pass on the right side so that any mice wires don't need to be routed to the opposite side of the keyboard. But I HATE rats nests of wires and will spend hours in cable management when doing any electrical work in order to give a cleaner than factory appearance on any of my projects. Outside of these two small gripes. there is no reason to not love this keyboard. I really enjoy using it on a daily basis and it will take something amazing for me to replace this keyboard from daily use duties.

Not a gamer but I love this keyboard. It is very responsive, the magnetically attached wrist support is so beautiful to use. The keyboard is a fingerprint magnet but who cares! The software and color options are fantastic. The dual usb hookup to control the keyboard and lighting but your audio is just wonderful...would love it to be wireless connection. But I guess this not option in mechanical keyboards. Great keyboard, great feedback response and super well built. Great warranty.

I love this keyboard! It's cool-looking, noisy, responsive and amazing in all the different profiles it can hold! If you're a gamer look no further than this! The razer keyboard has the fastest and best response I've ever seen from a keyboard. It's neat-looking, with programmable light patterns and colors for the backlighting. There are a ton of different profiles you can have it remember and quickly switch to depending on what game you are playing, which is amazing in itself. Personally I could never remember what function I assigned to what key for that many games, but I have tried it on a couple of games (Overwatch and Civ VI) and so far I'm very impressed. I have the "clicky" version, which I very much prefer, but there are quieter options out there. Personally I like my keys noisy and with less give than a lot of keys--I have large hands, so this really helps me feel like I'm striking the "correct" key when I'm using it. The color scheme is probably unnecessary, but a lot of fun to play with. You can change the colors, options on how often they light up (such as strobe or always or wave, etc) and there are a lot of different colors available. Probably the biggest drawback is that you need two open USB-slots to use all of the functions of the keyboard, but expanding USB ports is pretty easy and cheap so don't let that hold you back (I actually had two open so it wasn't an issue). There is also a very-comfortable wrist rest that attaches to the keyboard--magnetically!! It's a very strong magnet--I've used this for a little over a month and the only time the rest has moved is when I've moved it. If you're a gamer or just looking for a cool new keyboard I highly recommend this one--it's loud and awesome!

the good: -green mechanical switches - If you're reading this, you're probably familiar with the concept that different color switches have a different actuating mechanism, and therefore a different button press feel. For me, these are super comfortable and not overly "clicky" or harsh. They are of course louder than a "normal" keyboard, but even that is somewhat less than other mechanical keyboards I've used. Equally comfortable for typing as well as gaming. -LED lighting - As with most gaming keyboards, tons of preset and configurable LED patterns. I like the lighting effect on these over some others, as the light itself is only visible via the top of the key, with a bit of reflection on the bottom. Very clean looking. -programmable buttons - Along with remapping of buttons and functions, you can also map micros to buttons as well. -integrated USB 2.0 and 3.5mm headphone jack -comfortable magnetic wrist pad -Dedicated media keys, with a volume dial. I've always preferred a volume dial over up/down buttons, but I'm not exactly sure why. the bad: -Nothing that I experienced. Some may prefer wireless over wired, but nothing like this exists in a wireless keyboard yet that I'm aware of. overall: Really solid keyboard from Razer, with tons of customizable LED and button options. Premium feel and build quality. Highly recommended, 5 stars.

    Slick Mechanical Keyboard

After using chiclet style keyboards for years on laptops and mediocre bundled keyboards, coming back to a mechanical keyboard reminds me of the old IBM x286 and x386 days. The tactile and clicky buttons are fast and responsive. This is a beefy keyboard with considerable weight compared to say a Dell or HP keyboard that comes bundled with towers. The keys are solid with little to no wiggle. The magnetic wrist rest is a nice touch, no need to fumble with lining up clasps or hinges like other keyboard rests I’ve used in the past. The RGB LEDs do enhance the immersive experience especially when paired with Hue lights. I love that I can control the color scheme via the Razer Synapse 3 app as opposed to having to use the Hue app my phone. Also love the headphone jack and USB port on the left side and the multi function digital dial. I use it for volume and haven’t experimented with other settings. The Blackwidow Elite doesn’t have all the bells and whistles as its top of the line Razer brethren, but it strikes a nice balance of the best features of the flagship Huntsman at lesser price. I’m a fan!

Great gaming keyboard! The keys are super responsive and has a nice click to them. They are easy to clean as they pop right off and snaps back on. The extra padding keeps your arms comfortable while gaming for long hours. It also come with a multimedia dial which is awesome. But what I like most is how it syncs with razer chroma which make my set up look super cool! The best part was it was on sale! I was already willing to pay full price on razer website but bestbuy got the deals! Would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a quality mechanical keyboard for gaming.

    Great Gaming Keyboard

This Razer keyboard is near perfect for those wanting a gaming computer keyboard. The keys are springy and pleasant to type on, and are less noisy than a blue switch mechanical keyboard. The RGB is fully customizable. The cords have a long reach, however, they are attached to the keyboard. If they are damaged, you will need to send in for repairs. The volume button this keyboard gives it a nice touch and is convenient. Overall, a great product.

    An almost perfect keyboard.

This entire line of keyboards (as well as mice and other peripherals) are beautiful, sturdy, and reliable. Switching over to a mechanical keyboard was something I had wanted to do for a long time. When I finally had the money to buy this keyboard, a naga trinity, and a firefly mat, I was in RGB heaven. Everything worked almost to perfection. Almost. The only problems with these products are the controlling software (Razer Synapse). As with any app that handles all of the drivers for your products, if there is any sort of error or compatability issue with an update, your input devices may suddenly stop working. The infrequent software issues are almost always resolved within a day or two. Even with the issues, I would recommend Razer products - I would just make sure to keep your old keyboard and mouse around, just in case.

The New Green Switches are magic

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This new Razer green switch is just awesome. Slightly shorter actuation than the Cherry MX Blue variant and just completely solid, no wobble in the keys with that new double wall construction. I also have the Corsair MX 70 MK.2 SE with the white pbt keycaps and Cherry MX Silver switches, and also the HyperX Alloy Elite with the Cherry MX Brown switches. These green switches give the perfect tactile feedback and retain most of the quick action you get from the silver speed switches. Just a perfect combo that ends up being more accurate than the linear silver switches. The browns feels soft and smooth but just don't have the shorter actuation and speed that the other two do. Definitely the way to go for someone who does a lot of gaming and also spends a fair amount of time typing.

If you have celiac disease, this is helpful to avoid a ruined vacation or business dinner. I did find it to be a tad slow for most practical purposes. It takes between 5 and ten minutes to register a result, and if you are in a restaurant, the wait seems interminable, especially if you are dining with others. For what it is, it's a good value, but the capsules are pricey.

I bought this keyboard about a week ago and while it took a while to get used to the mechanical keys, now I absolutely love using it. The green Razer switches provide the perfect level of responsiveness for me personally, and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get good value for their money.

I thought that the wrist pad at the bottom was gonna be uncomfortable and get in my way but the more I used it the more thankful I was that it was there. Amazing keyboard, love the clicky feeling personally though I know some aren't into it but Razer does have other options if you don't like the click clack.
