Great Video/picture in 4K, especially since it is shot in low light to intensify the theme and drama of the context!! The use of Atmos/Surround sound is used very well, especially in the scene with Bees swarming all around the listeners or viewers head.

Blade Runner 2049 is a worthy, though not perfect, sequel to Blade Runner. It makes the viewer think. It does answer some questions raised in the original film, while raising more of its own. Some are answered by some of the extra features. After all the years of wonder what the unicorn symbolized in the 1982 film, now I know! It did take a couple of viewings for me to realize it. Without giving it away, the plot of this movie is a big clue. If you enjoyed the original Blade Runner, be sure to watch this one in Blu-Ray format.

I watched this in both HDR 10 and Dolby Vision and it looks great either way you go. Darks look very good and colors look bright and pop. Also mastered at 10,000 nit so highlights will pop if you have a TV that can output above 1,000 nits.

I was very concerned when I first heard of this film. Wouldn't a sequel, by its very nature, ruin the ambiguity of the originals ending? As it turns out, not at all. I won't spoil anything here, but the questions from the end of the first film remain intact. The characters are fully fleshed out and the visuals are breathtaking. It's easy to see why this film won the Best Cinematography Oscar. For viewing continuity, be sure to watch the Final Cut of the first Blade Runner, as that edition is what this one follows.

10/10 film. One the greatest sequel ever made. 3D transfer was okay.. I’ll give that a 7/10. But the film was amazing. Worth the experience if you find it on sale.

Blade Runner 2049 tops Ridley Scott's original classic in every single way. There's an actual emotional heart to the film this time, beautifully carried by Ana de Armas' gorgeous performance alongside Ryan Gosling's simmering stoicness. The score is one of the best musical collection's I've ever heard, and Roger Deakins more than finally earns his Oscar with flooring cinematography popping with spectacular visuals and color unlike anything else ever put to the screen.

Yeah I could stream it on multiple devices, and it will play just the same. But using a real Blu-Ray player with this movie has been awesome! I can notice the sound, and the picture quality! The movie is really awesome, one of my favorites!

If you're a superfan of this film, then you know there have been so many iterations of the film that it's hard to keep up with which one is which. Luckily this set as every single version, so you can watch every progression in all its glory (or not so much if it's the theatrical version). The special features are great, the booklet is impressive and the video quality is superb (HDR). In short, don't think just buy it. Go. Now. Do it.

If you have a OLED TV and a decent Atmos setup with some good subwoofers this is a must have for testing your theater. The opening scene put my SVS PB 2000 Pros to work and the rest of the movie is pure eye and ear candy.

Blade Runner was (and still is) a masterpiece on almost every level (the Director’s Cut is the way to go). Now, years later, we have a story that is almost as good as the original (and in some ways complements it, while being very much its own story). Director Denis Villeneuve is a masterful director, and Blade Runner 2049 is a piece of technical wizardry! It’s a remarkable experience, one that is worth the nearly three-hour runtime!

Big fan of this movie and the original (which also looks Great in 4K). I saw the movie in theaters, but unlike most other reviews, I've only owned on 4K and can't compare to regular HD / Blu-Ray. The 4K looks amazing- fantastic. I feel the HDR makes viewing this at home on 4K tv much better than in the theater. Although I was unable to see this in Imax and really wish I had. I've read that was the ultimate presentation of this movie.

This movie is not for everyone. It is not an action film like I think a lot of people may have expected going in, especially those unfamiliar with the original Blade Runner. but for those with patience, this is a fantastic movie. The video quality is as good as it's probably going to get. Although it's not true 4K, it is 3.4k upscaled which is so close to legit 4K that you won't notice a difference. Highest recommendation.

Villeneuve is one of all times most capable science fiction director and thanks to him this sequel to a true classic did not go sideways. The 4k uhd Version looks and sounds stunning!

The packaging was perfect albeit without any slipcover. The video quality was as good as Blu-ray can provide and the 3D was a fun way to experience the film! Recommended for sci-fi, film, or 3D enthusiasts!

It a nice movie, decent actions. Got nice sound tracks with lot of low bass and rumbles . Similar feeling and value as of those Guardian of the Galaxy movies. Nice to have in 4k collection.

That a sequel to Bladerunner even exists (some 35 years after the original) is mind-blowing. That it's also a great film in its own right is a miracle. Denis Villanue takes Ridley Scott's vision to new places and finds very moving ways to involve the original bladerunner, Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford). A must-see for fans of the original - or fans of great, thoughtful sci-fi in general.

Bladerunner 2049 builds excellently off of the original movie. The plot unfolds slowly with a few action sequences but it uses every minute of it's time exploring an immersive world and fleshing out it's interesting characters. Like all great sci-fi, it asks difficult questions about what it means to be human and digs in to the morality of what a creator's responsibility is to their creations.

As most know, this is an excellent movie that’s stays true to what was so great about the original. But one thing that blew me away was the excellent reference quality Audio and Video. This is the disc to really show off your system. The Dolby vision pops off the screen, and the Atmos audio mix really puts you in the action. Invite some buddies over, pop some popcorn, and crank it up!
