I like the whole storyline but didn’t understand at all at first but after some research I finally get it and it was okay needed wayyyy more action though. A little slow.

As a long time fan of the breakthrough original film I was pleasantly surprised with Ridley Scott's sequel, It has all the elements that made the original the iconic film it is and explains some parts on the original that needed answers. Full of action and intrigue it brings back Harrison Ford in a career founding performance. This is a great addition to fans of the original.

A Blade Runner agent K is in search for a rogue former Blade Runner Decker 30 years later after the first films events... A secret looms and K goes through all kinds of trouble trying to reach him... A lot of hints and flashbacks occur to put the film together like a puzzle. I suggest watching the first film otherwise it is a bit hard to follow, but not difficult to get. The music and atmosphere is hypnotic. Must watch on a big screen..

In the capable hands of Villenueve and the stylings of Deakins, this film pushes the boundaries of the musings of the original Scott Bladerunner, and manages to look doing it. No longer are we concerned with whether our protagonist is a replicant, and we are left with the realization that replicants can be and are intensely human.

I really enjoyed this movie. It was very well done, and the story well told. The cinematography and lighting are amazing - this is one of those movies where you actually notice them because they're so stunning. And what makes it even more amazing is that this movie used real sets, not CGI. The extra features are well worth watching and give you a deeper appreciation of the passion and talent that went into the making of this film.

I never wanted a sequel to Blade Runner, but dang it, if we've got to have one, at least it's as great, thoughtful, and cinematically beautiful as 2049. Though the steelbook is likely difficult to come by, if you're a fan of the original Blade Runner (Final Cut, of course), sci-fi films, and/or films questioning the philosophical concerns around choice and free will, then you owe it to yourself to experience Blade Runner 2049.

Much anticipated saw the movie on first show first day.my kids flew in to share the experience we were not disappointed, soundtrack was amazing the movie itself was out of this world the attention to detail was wonderful acting spectacular it’s becoming one of my favorites, if your a sci-fi geek and you haven’t seen this movie it’s a must see and listen to the dialogue carefully hope you enjoy it as much as we did

The Blade Runner is my favorite science fiction movie of all time. I've watched it, or part of it, several dozen times. This new one is good but lacks the character of the original. The graphics are great and the acting is good. It is a bit slow paced. When the action parts do occur they are well done. The music score was good, but the original was special and added significantly to that original movie. Overall, this is a keeper and I'll watch it a few more times in the future. But not dozens of times like the original.

A sequel that shouldn't have worked but in many ways surpasses the original. A story that not only builds on came before but adds new layers. With a new mystery to uncover and great performances from everyone 2049 is also an amazing visual treat from Roger Deakins. The disc looks amazing with great colors, and depth and deep blacks, not only is the picture amazing, the audio track is booming! Crank up that volume. BUY THIS MOVIE!

it's a fantastic, and unique, viewing experience, and even with its imperfections it does create a believable (if gloomy and depressing) dystopian vision of the future, and touches on themes that could spark endless debate and reflection. And herein lies its beauty: shallow popcorn movies will have faded from everybody's memory in weeks. A movie like Blade Runner 2049 will inspire us and challenge us, whether we agree with some of its vision or not, maybe even whether we love it or hate it, for years to come.

I don't purchase 4K Bluray discs that often, but this movie sure deserves it. I think you know about the movie already, otherwise you can just watch it on streaming and see if you like it. The visuals are amazing and they look fantastic on 4K. The audio is also amazing. Overall a good showcase for a 4K home theater!

If you are not a fan of the original Blade Runner (1982) movie, then this movie might not be for you. But if you are an avid BR fan, this sequel is worthwhile watching. Ryan Gosling is a Blade Runner (a Replicant (android) hunter) who discovers a secret that can upend the world he lives in. He is tasked to hunt down the secret before it gets out. This is a limited release of the movie in 3D. It is a must buy for collectors.

2049 is a worthy successor to the original Blade Runner. Denis Villenveuve captures the mood and look of the Blade Runner Universe created by Ridley Scott and delivers an engaging story. For newer viewers, be warned 2049 is paced much like the original, so don’t expect a fast cuts or unnecessary action. This is a sci-fi noir that is heavy on mood.

This is a great film if you enjoy films that have deliberate pacing. A worthy sequel to Blade Runner, though not as good as the original. 3d is solid, though not as impressive as in Avatar, Doctor Strange, or Ghost in the Shell. 2d is amazing in blu-ray with reference video and sound quality. If you like the film and are not into 3d, get the uhd disc instead since this is a natively shot and mastered 4k (3.4K actually) film.

30 years after the events of Blade Runner, a new Blade Runner, officer "K", discovers a secret that has the potential to plunge what's left of society into further chaos. K's discovery leads him on a quest to find former Blade Runner, Deckard (Harrison Ford). Ridley Scott at its best! Amazing special effects throughout the entire movie.

I didnt think ANY movie could top Blade Runner until this sequel came along. There are sequences in 2049 that surpass the first movie and the expansion of the story is brilliant. This is a MUST HAVE for any serious collector!

Remakes and sequels always make me nervous, especially when there is such a huge time gap between the original, but this movie delivers. Possible because the original was ahead of it's time and has aged very well since it wasn't over reliant on special effects that can show the age of a movie very quickly in high definition. Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford are excellent, as is the new continuation of the storyline.

The original Blade Runner gives huge shoes to fill and was a cultural monolith, setting the standard for many Sci Fi films to come. This sequel is not only fitting of that reputation, but breathes new life and ideas into the universe while feeling completely consistent. The cast is phenomenal top to bottom, and this movie is a must have for showing off a 4K set.

If you want to get the full experience of this movie, and you have a 4k player & TV, you will not regret purchasing this movie in 4k! Gorgeous, crisp colors, beautiful, looking-outside-a-window realistic special effects -- I felt like I was able to enjoy the movie to the fullest extent, the extent that its creators intended!

I really liked Blade Runner when I was a kid, (although I had to get to a certain age before I really understood it). When I heard they were making a sequel I was a bit leery. Thankfully this movie is pretty darn good. They definitely did a good job of recreating the feel and look of the first film. Even the music is similar. The movie is a bit long and the ending is somewhat unsatisfying but this is definitely a worthy continuation of the story. The Blu-ray has excellent picture quality and sound.
