Very hard to follow the original but I expected a bit more from this film. Plot was a bit simplistic and not very original.

you have to invest a little bit with the story. its a slow burn. if you liked the original you will probably like this

This is a great production of an excellent film! The visuals are crisp and clean and the sound is just amazing. This one will really show off your home theater capabilities.

As far as the movie - amazing sci-fi, one of the best I've seen in the last decade. Regarding this edition - Best Buy is the only place to get the 3D version. I pre ordered and picked up at store (which is always a quick & easy process) so I don't know if there are any copies leftover at any stores. If you love 3D & true sci-fi, grab it if you see it!

Absolutely phenomenal movie and one of the best Sci-Fi/Cyberpunk films ever made. It’s also a perfect example of a legacy sequel that matches if not surpasses the quality of the original.

In my opinion this was one of the greatest films of the year. While it is long in length, every minute is saturated in Blade Runner. It was awesome to see more of Burroughs source material at play too. The steelbook is pretty cool, though $30 is a bit steep. Could've went a million more ways with the artwork - bring back the original pop art stylings!

When I first saw the original Blade Runner I didn’t appreciate how good it really was. I think I’m going to feel the same way about Blade Runner 2049. I have the 4K version and the picture quality is fantastic- my feelings about the plot? I’m still thinking about it. For me the weak link is the Jared Leto character- maybe his role will become clearer with future viewings. Definitely recomended, especially if your a fan of the original.

Excellent movie! The action & sound effects are incredible! The 4K hdr version has done very nicely with surround effects and the height channels. Also, the colors really have pop to them, way more than the hd streaming versions! Definitely an upgrade over watching on Vudu, etc!

I really enjoyed this film, regardless of what critics might have thought. It "feels" like the original film. it perfectly recaptures the feel of the original, both visually and musically. The cinematography (Oscar for Best Cinematography) is a work of art. Other than the improved CGI you would never know decades had passed. I've seldom been so impressed by a sequel.

This movie is great. I don’t remember much of the original but it was easy to get into and enjoy, and I didn’t feel like I was missing out much. It not only has amazing picture quality, but an amazing soundtrack as well. It has more bass than any movie I’ve ever heard, besides maybe Mad Max fury road, but it’s used so well. Get. This. Disc.

If you are not a fan of the original Blade Runner (1982) movie, then this movie might not be for you. But if you are an avid BR fan, this sequel is worthwhile watching. Ryan Gosling is a Blade Runner (a Replicant (android) hunter) who discovers a secret that can upend the world he lives in. He is tasked to hunt down the secret before it gets out.

I enjoyed BR 2049 at the theater and just as much on 4K version, which allows you to experience the stunning visuals, exceptional lighting and compelling story that this film brings. I’m still shocked this movie didn’t better connect with moviegoers. But watching it on 4K is the next best way to experience this sci-fi masterpiece.

Going from the blu ray to UHD I didnt notice much of a difference, Its been stated by the team behind the film that they arent big on hdr and had followed the general color grading, which is still beautiful but when testing out my new 4k tv i didnt notice a huge difference. the movie itself is perfect.

Attempt to produce the same look as the original is there, but there is no real story line. Doesn't due the original justice!

The movie is worth watching and is enjoyable if you enjoy cyber punk and the original anime or manga. Yes, it is different, but still entertaining. There are scenes and shots lifted wholly from its predecessors, but I personally don't mind. I'm not going to comment on the whitewashing, but am just reviewing it for what it is. As for the product itself, barebones extras which are typical of recent releases.

I think there's only a few movies worth paying the 4k premium, and this is definitely one of them. The visuals and cinematography are beautifully transferred. For the movie, I loved it. It's a slow burner, but atmosphere and world is so well developed I was never bored. And the ending is perfect, just enough of a twist to mess with your mind.

I saw Blade Runner in 3D in the theater. Of course, trying to duplicate the experience in a home theater can be difficult. But, the video and audio quality of this Blu-ray make the task that much easier. The sound is terrific with heart pounding bass, and great clarity. The video transfer is just as impressive, with great detail and colors.

I don't give out 5 stars, so 4 on my scale, is pretty good. I don't like it as much as the original, but it's definitely worth watching. The main reason I bought this movie was because although I knew it was good, I bought it for the very dynamic soundtrack, which is perfect for showing off great home theater setups.

Let's be clear. If you collect movies, if you collect Sci Fi then you need to get this and probably should get on 4K. The 4k version does improve the picture quality to some degree over the blu ray not a whole huge amount. The color palette too. The story continues... Next one in outer space?

Great movie! Story plot may seem confusing to some people. I would recommend watching the original Blade Runner in order to understand what’s going on with this one. Picture and sound is excellent on this Blu-ray version of the movie.
