Wanted to see this before watching the new blade runner. Happy to find this available in 4K.

Intriguing movie that hilds up well to the test of time. Harrison Ford leads an all-star cast.

Great to watch again. Old Harrison Ford in something other than Star Wars, it's a fun journey.

Very slow movie, but a good story with stunning visuals if you have the patience for it. The 4K transfer itself is excellent with great picture & atmos track.

I want to concentrate a bit more on the video quality since this has been released several times before. The DVD was just okay, but the blu-ray is excellent. For this 4K Warner used their 4K master with a bit of touch up and the results are really impressive. Most of the so-called 4K releases are actually upscaled from a 2K master, but not this one. This is what 4K should be all about. If you compare this one as well as the Revenant, and Lucy to many of the other 4K releases such as Jason Bourne, you will see just how great this picture looks. If you liked the Blade Runner movie, then there is no question, you will want to own it on 4K.

In this case, yes! I saw Blade Runner in theaters when I was 13. After that it was rewatching it on VHS and standard def, square picture, cable TV, then DVD, then Blu-Ray. Every change of home video format was a step up but the 4K is a huge improvement in contrast, color, and picture quality. It feels like a whole new movie! Given what the quality of theater film projectors and optics were in the early 80's, and given that I have an OLED TV and a 7.2 surround sound system, I can honestly say that on this 4K edition Blade Runner has NEVER looked or sounded better. If you're a fan, you need this!

This was a movie suggested to get and i said why not get in the best quality available at the time so i got it and i love it ! Watching in 4K is really something , its a very busy screen full of things you would miss possibly even in just blu-ray format . Always love the selection of actors / actresses , amazing what the human mind can think of for stories and how to make the thing come alive on the screen . Hope they keep making more of same to keep us all entertained at home now days !

One of the film ahead of its time. Great addition for one's collection.

How did I make it this many years without seeing this movie? Gritty, noir sci fi. OK, so the replicants just want to live. I get that. I just feel like they didn't to enough to engender sympathy to their cause until far too late in the story line -- even Rachael. Considering Deckard exhibited a change of heart about his career path toward the end, I expected somewhere along the line more of a "Help us!" plea from the replicants. They want life, they want to be "human," yet they do nothing to indicate they want to be humane -- which, in my opinion, is a key component of being a member of humanity.

Is a good movie, nice that it's in 4k! Have a 4k player, give this a watch!

Some visual effects don't stand the test of time. This is not one of those.

There is a big difference between the old DVD and this BluRay, but there's only so much you can get out of scanning an older film to higher resolution. You start to see the missed focus shots and scan artifacts, but if you aren't highly trained it will all look great because it's a super good film and way ahead of its time when originally made and in some areas still ahead.

Nice movie especially if you have seen the remake, fun scifi movie

This is a excellent transfer of this film. The picture quality is amazing for blu ray. I have not seen the 4k version of this, but some serious time has been put in this restoration. The sound is very good to. You may have to watch this film more than once, due to a lot of things going on in each shot. It’s a simple story, but it’s done complex. You’d have to watch it to see what I am talking about. I recommend giving it a watch. Hey for 5 dollars what can you really lose.

Picture is beautiful in some spots, just okay in others.
