This blender is very well made but aside from the few shakes I have made with it I have not really tapped into the capabilities. The blender is quiter than my Ninja blender. I would recommend it if you do a lot of blending/cooking but there are cheaper options for occasional use.

Excellent, rugged blender. Ample size jar. Well made and easy to use. Been primarily making smoothies. Great at crushing ice and blending with all kinds of fresh fruit. Can see how it would be helpful in making soups, too. Haven't explored all uses yet. Appreciate fact that the blade is part of the blender jar. Very easy to clean. Also like that the jar is not heavy to lift. I'd originally thought about getting a glass blender, but too heavy and not as rugged. Got this at a great price from Best Buy.

The blender was so good, I loved it and it works so well I recommend it 100%.

This is a great stylish piece and the button display is just fantastic. Overall works well but the soup function doesnt work as advertised. The cooking book makes it look like itll taste like regular soup.

I bought a new Blendtec a few years ago and what a circus that turned out to be. I used it mainly for smoothies and frozen strawberries killed the jar in short order. There is a real design flaw with their jars. The bearing, seal and drive shaft are molded right into the plastic of the jar and are not replaceable as separate hardware parts like a Vitamix. After the third Blentec replacement jar they sent me within two months under warranty I returned it and bought a Vitamix 5300. No problems now, the Vitamix is heavy duty with separate replaceable parts for the jar should I ever need them. It’s hard to believe Blentec is still in business, I guess many people buy them and not use them much.
