I have purchased several decents blenders over the years and all were good at some functions but lacking at others. This blender meets all of my needs. If you are the type who would appreciate the versatility offered by a quality blender, bite the bullet and spend the extra money for a Blendtec. If you catch it on Deal of the Day you won't pay much more than the second tier blenders I have tried in the past.

Purchased first to replace high end Kitchaid. Three weeks later bought this for other house. Didn’t think there was much difference in blenders but after using the first I bought this. Use mostly for daily smoothies and protein drinks. Tried once for shake and even with almost all ice cream in blender it worked very well.

Comparing to Costco's Vitamix E320, seems to do a better job, although no accessories included in this model

Great heavy duty blender. If you want something that can blend anything you throw at it – this is the product for you! It is very well built with a wide heavy base and 3 HP motor. Control panel is smooth LED with information/touch/power button. A quick wipe of the control panel/base is all that’s needed to keep this area clean. Comes with 6 pre-programmed cycles (Smoothie, Frozen treats, Whole Juice, Hot Soup, Batters and Mixed Drinks) as well as a pulse button and slider control area. The slider is used to control the speed of the blender if not using pre-programmed cycles. It also has a timer that indicates how long you have been blending. Blender jar has a wide base making it easy to use a spatula if needed around its blade. It is also short with easily to read measurements on its sides. It is dishwasher safe. But a quick run with warm water after use is all we have done so far. A few recipes are included in the box, but check out their website for a LOT more ideas. Nice long heavy-duty cord. Comes with an 8 year warranty and its made in the USA A little disappointed it didn’t come with a plunger, nor is one listed on its website to purchase separately Only real downside – it is LOUD, so no blending if someone is trying to sleep! But with so much power this isn’t unexpected.

This is our second Blendtec.. First one is a 10 year old classic model that still works great.. This one is an upgrade for us and I love everything about it.. Blendtec customer service is also wonderful to speak with if you ever have questions. You will Not be disappointed with this SS Model from Best Buy. Love Blendtec!
