    The quality of my vocal was excellent but the mic has a level of noise that I couldn't get rid of in my home studio even with the help of pro technician. I tried a second Yeti mic and same problem was there even when used in a different studio with different computer. Best Buy dealt with my problem in an excellent manner. I have no quarrel with Best Buy but I was disappointed in the highly rated Yeti Blue.

      Hello Testors, Very sorry to hear about the noise issue you experienced with the Blue Yeti Microphone. Glad to hear that your problem was dealt with in an excellent manner. Without knowing your exact setup to discern where this noise could be coming from and since you didn't mention it, Blue does use Logitech G Hub software that helps to achieve professional on-stream sound quality using enhanced broadcast vocal effects, advanced voice modulation and HD audio samples. Your also able to granularly set your Yeti with noise reduction, gate, compressor, de-esser, de-popper, and limiter settings.     So I bought it for podcasting thinking I was doing myself a huge favor by buying an expensive mic. But it is a condense mic, which means it pick up everything. The room needs to be sound proof in order to get a bang for your buck. Overall, I enjoy using it. I just wish I hadn’t spent so much money on it when I could have bought two mic for the price of the yeti one and still get a great sound.

    This mic is good at sound reproduction, but I wouldn't buy it again: 1. For spoken word recordings, or recording outside of a studio environment, a dynamic mic works better. This is a condensor mic. You can do a few searches on "dynamic vs condensor mic" and see if dynamic vs condensor is best for you. 2. The USB connector is very fragile and broke after six months. YouTube has plenty of helpful videos showing you how to replace the USB connector if it breaks, but I'd rather get a mic that didn't break in the first place.
