    The blue yeti was the first standalone mic that I had purchased and I was worried at first about how hard it would be to use but thankfully after plugging it up and downloading the software for it I learned that it was very easy to use. It helps to play around with some of the settings first and see what you like. Overall other than downloading the app to help optimize it, it was a plug and play mic.

    The quality is great as far as the build (its solid) no complaints there. My disappointment is that it seems to need headphones to work.

      The Blue Yeti actually works perfectly fine without headphones! Headphones are only necessary if you want to monitor your audio input in real-time, to avoid echo during recording or streaming.

    Heavy and sturdy and metal, but unfortunately it stopped working as of May 2021, and I purchased in December for 2018. Apparently the USB port isn't as sturdy as the rest of the mic and people have problems with it. I believe this is what is happening to mine as I just get static and feedback and Charlie Brown teacher voice when trying to use it. My warranty is done after 2 years so I tried to follow online videos on how to open it up and tighten the port, but that only worked for a few minutes. Best Buy said they can't really do anything, so I went with a different brand this time, as the Blue Yeti's are a bit expensive for what you are getting.
