Unfortunately I had bought the older Yeti microphone on accident. Luckily BestBuy has a super easy return/exchange policy so when I went back to the store I was in and out the door in 5 minutes. The Yeti X itself is magnificent, LGHub (Software) is a little bare bones but when you pair the microphone with an audio mixer/interface product/software so this is no biggie. I personally haven’t had any problems with mine it’s been pretty smooth for streaming and gaming.

Everyone compliments me on how crisp the audio sounds when I talk into this microphone. After about a year I had some issues with the audio, so I contacted the company. I shipped it to them they determined that there was a defect and they sent me a brand new one at no charge. This is a company that makes a fantastic product and stands behind it.

Great For Voice Recordings On Videos

I have used the Snowball microphone for years and it sounds good but this microphone sounds even better. My voice recordings sound smooth and my voice sounds more lifelike and stands out. Well built base with some good weight too. The pattern adjustments make it easy to use for a wide range of needs.

Great for elgato game capture videos

He says it sounds so much better than using his laptop built-in mic. It does pick up a bit of the voice harshness or "spittle sounds", but you're supposed to buy one of those sound diffuser things that goes in front of the mic if you want to get rid of that. We haven't yet since this mic was a pretty penny, but we knew beforehand that we would need to get one eventually. No surprises. This mic is what it says it is.

You have stereo, omnidirectional, uni-directional, and bi-directional options. Biggest improvement over my built in headset mic is when I'm singing. It sounds a lot less breathy on this. I would recommend getting a pop filter and wind screen for this for even better results.

Huge improvement over a cheap little mic or the one built into computer. The different settings are very useful to accommodate just me speaking or a group all the way around or a couple people sitting side my side. It also has adjustable gain.

Believe it or not, I was using the built-in mic on a Microsoft LifeCam before. Absolutely no comparison between the two. Solid construction. Great sound quality. Gain, recording pattern, and on-mic mute button all very convenient. Sometimes picks up bumps from the surface the base rests on. Nothing a good boom won't solve.

The model is also pretty dated so i cant say its perfect. Not the best microphone for recording voice but good enough for games.
