It has 4 modes, in case you want it to pick up sound from one direction (streaming), two (Podcast), 3 (3 Person Podcast lol) and all (round table).

Apparently, several of his friends have it and he knew it would be just the ticket. Easy to install. Good sound. He games and mixes beats and it works well for both activities.

This is also compatible with a Mac book you just have to get an adapter piece.

I have not had the need so far for one but I thought that I was going to use it on a video. I read the reviews and saw the Yeti's got excellent reviews on every site. I am one that likes to buy products that will last so I only have to make one purchase not 2 or 3. This one fit the mold and had multiple choices for either interviews or videos in the studio.

Why not get a microphone for it!? In all seriousness, Worth the retail price, made well and dependable. Oh and super sensitive room noise will be picked up if you intend to record music.
