The problem is that all sound the is behind the mic will be heard. This is an omnidirectional mic, so your recording and podcasting, and meetings could have a lot of background noise. It's more of a fad item. I suggest, invest in a shure, rode, or Samson mic.

Posted .Hi Sammy, sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the Snowball iCE. Snowball iCE is the most affordable Blue USB mic. It is only Cardioid, and listens in front of it. The Snowball model offers Omni, Cardioid and Cardioid -10db, which would probably work better for you. Try adjusting its position and gain to get better performance. Simple and Clear

The set up is extremely simple - you just plug in and go - but the only downside I had was the port wasn't compatible with my Chromebook laptop. I had to purchase a USB splitter in order to use it.

A good starter mic
