First, when I opened it, it came with a USB 2.0 cable. When I plugged it into my computer, it said "USB Not Recognized". I thought that maybe it was my motherboard (Gigabyte Z68). So I tried it on two other computers and it still did not work. I used my own USB 2.0 cable on my computer and it did start to work. When it did work, it picked up sound from me sitting at my desk. So it's perfect for getting close sound, not far away background noise. And the sound quality was great. However, after about a month of using a couple of times every weekend, it started the "USB Not Recognized" again. I tried about 5 different USB 2.0 plugs and 6 different USB 2.0 ports. It STILL does not work. I don't know if I can return it because I already ripped up the box. I may get a Samson microphone or another Blue Microphone as a replacement, since Blue Microphone products are of very high quality (except for this certain product). If you're looking for a microphone to use for recording your voice or recording sound, I recommend the Blue Yeti, Blue Snowball, or Samson meteor mic.

The specs from the Best Buy listing states "Polar Pattern - Omnidirectional". Nice microphone, but the directions and specifications in the box state this is a Cardioid pattern microphone. Not Omnidirectional. Will Best Buy notice?

Bought this for streaming to Twitch. Works really well. Nice and clear. The one issue I had was it picks up background noise a little too much. Other than that highly recommend.

Came with strong chemical smell. It's very quiet and doesn't work well with Audacity. It works well with Skype tho.

Ordered this online. After two hours it was not ready for in-store pickup, so clerk suggested buying the product in the store and cancelling the online order. My husband did so only to discover when he got home that the "store" price was higher than the "online" price! First of all, forget placing an order and having it ready in "as little as 45 minutes" as advertised. Second, the associate should have advised him that the price was higher. Third, neither the store or the customer service toll free number will make a price adjustment. Needless to say, this item will be returned and purchased elsewhere. It's not the $ amount, but the principle of the matter. While waiting in the store for the associate to get the item, my husband decided to purchase a TV which I intend to return also.

I ordered and picked up my Blue Ice Microphone the same day just cause I'm too excited to use it and it was on sale. But when I got home and unboxed it, I was so upset. Yes, there's the microphone, but where did my desktop stand go? Need to go back to again to Best Buy and get my complete set of this thing. Hassle

I bought this thinking it would be a nice little investment to increase the sound quality on my YouTube videos but boy was I wrong. This mic picks up a ridiculous amount of noise. Yes you can hear your voice loud and clear, but the recordings sound like you set up your mic in an ascending airplane. I paired this mic with an elgato for recording Xbox videos and for somebody reason the audio is extremely sped up when merged with the video making the audio totally unusable. I bought a mic off of amazon for half the price, and it came with a professional mic stand, so you can’t beat that value. If those reasons aren’t enough to convince you to save your time and money, the design should because this mic is not pretty at all.

Its been only 3 days since i have recieved this mic and it already is broken! The mic has awfully loud static when i speak through it!

I just bought this microphone today as a replacement for a samsung condenser mic that I lost. Because I needed something quickly that I could buy in a store. I started using it immediately to records vocals but every 5-7 seconds it makes this squeak in the of my recording. I know how to record and this is not normal. It is a problem with this mic. It is not good for using for recording vocals or music at all. In fact I have had better performance from a $20 mic than this one. So I would not waste my money on this. AND YOU CAN"T RETURN IT! I did not know this but on the back of my receipt, it says that a microphone is a non-returnable item. So yeah - $75 down the drain.

This microphone picks up every background noise no matter how slight. If you use a mechanical keyboard, have a fan running, or if theirs music playing from a neighbors house it will play as loud as your voice is to anyone else you try to talk to.

Very low volume.. you have to almost scream to record. No highs no lows... It's like talking into the bucket of water. Waste of money... it's not adjustable and no software..

I plugged it in to see if it was all that i heard and it turns out it can't be recognized AT ALL by my windows 8 asus all-in-one computer! I can't believe i wasted my money on this useless product, hopefully i can take it back.

Yikes, I got this to work for a couple of uses and now after a while of simply just taking a small break with it and trying to use it again. It simply doesn't work at all. The thing is a hunk of junk and definitely acted as if I paid $45 bucks for it. When it did work, the quality was bad at BEST. Definitely will not be buying this brand ever again, will look to spend a little bit more money on a better product. STAY AWAY if you don't like wasting money!

it picks up every sound in my room, and house. i can even hear the kids playing outside my house with this mic. i didn't but it here, but i truly hate this mic.
