Unplugging the microphone between uses helps but doesn't completely solve the problem.

The more portable version of the Yeti.

I have used the Snowball for hosting teleconferences and recording some voice tracks and it performs fine. You might like the Yeti's features better, but the Snowball does the job and is very lightweight and portable.
