Not great for music

Turns out it’s not very DAW-friendly, and only works at 48kHz. If this is jibberish to you, then this might be a good product for you to do podcasts or stream or whatever.

Posted .Hello Dave! Thanks for your feedback. The Blue Snowball is a great mic, but as you mentioned, it's definitely aiming more towards podcasters and streamers, rather than musicians. It still gives you the flexibility and versatility to capture music, but we do have other options that might be better suited for those needs. In example, we have the Yeti Nano that offers recording sample rates at 24bit/48kHZ (instead of 16bit/48kHZ), or if you want to make a big leap forward, then the Yeti Pro would be a much better option, with recording sample rates at 24bit/192kHZ, plus the Pro offers an XLR Output if needed too.

Cheap mic for profession jobs

I purchased this and right away it looks like a toy when you unbox it and it feels like one too. The quality is ok for minor projects but if you want something that will last then don’t buy it.

Good Value for a Nice Microphone

There are multiple other brands which are much higher cost. If someone is just looking for a very good basic unit, this microphone should provide a nice solution.

Perfect Microphone

Actually had to set it for just one person even though there are two of us because it was picking up too much background noise. Would really work great for a room full of people.

Plug and Play didn't work

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After 3 hours of troubleshooting on Google doing various "Windows repairs", driver updates, reading forum threads, and watching videos, I declared defeat. Blue does not provide drivers to download manually. When I did the plug and play (on various USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports), something downloads, but it just ends up being an "Unspecified USB Device." I tried it on four different computers, including my work laptop, and it did not once work successfully. People suggested to "uninstall the drivers" in device and sound manager and reinstall, but NONE of my machines recognized the mic.
