Not as great as expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this because I do internet radio broadcasts and was hoping to include multiple people using the microphone. However you have to be almost on top of it to pick up properly and it doesn't easily pick up the other voices in the room. Otherwise it works fine, but my headset microphone is still prefered.

We were going to use it to teach Pilates over zoom. Everyone we tested it on said the iPhone had a better sound. Not sure if I set it up incorrectly or what. Everything but the sounds was as advertised.

Sounded Great Until It Didn't

Became unusable for voiceovers. It seems that the build quality has decreased from the old models. Be prepared to replace the microphone in case it starts to break.

Posted .Hi rikka, So sorry to hear about the issues you're having with the Blue Snowball. There are 3 microphone settings that you can use to help with the background noise. With gaming, you'll probably want to use either the Cardioid or Cardioid with -10DB pad. The latter setting reduces the mic sensitivity. Also where you have your microphone set could be another reason for the noise. Not as good as the old blue snowball

I purchased this assuming it would be the same great quality. However, they changed the port to a usb 3.0 plugin for the microphone. I am unsure if this is why the microphone is not as good as the older models, but it constantly makes static noise and sometimes noise does not even get picked up on the microphone.

Posted .Hello sc1998! I'm sorry to hear you're running into issues with the Snowball microphone. A recent Windows update added new permissions that have to be enabled for the mic to communicate with your computer properly. We recommend navigating to your Settings > Privacy > Microphone and making sure that everything is enabled for use with the mic. Access your Sound Menu to confirm that the Blue Mic is recognized on the list. Access your Sound Menu by right clicking on your Speakers/Volume icon and selecting “Sounds” or typing “Sounds” into your Windows Search box. Click the Recording tab and right click on your Blue Mic to select Set as “Default Device”. If there are other Ready devices, please disconnect the device or disable the microphone by right clicking on the device and then selecting Disable. Other devices like webcams or headsets could interfere with your Blue Mic. Disconnect your Blue Mic, wait three seconds, then reconnect your Blue Mic to finalize the changes. On the Recording tab double click on the Blue Mic to open the Properties Menu. Select the Levels tab then select an appropriate volume level (start at midway point of the slider & adjust from there) and make sure that the speaker icon is not muted. Too expensive to be so buggy

Great price but only works about 50% of the time. Will be investing in a higher quality mic soon
