Not suitable quality to avoid technical failures

One time altered voice to sound like helium talking in a meeting, very not cool. Lastly the connector on the bottom is loose and starts to short out and loose connections after about a year of TLC. Should have lasted longer and not had these irritating glitches to loose "connection" and an after thought, when the software auto updates, it does not ask permission, it forces the update automatically and any custom mic tune settings are retained but not correctly or to produce the same audio results at all, always requiring 40 minutes to retune the mic advanced settings because of the update. not well tested before release to maintain the audio settings at all. I had to write down the settings in a note to readjust after the software update Choose an alternative to this mic, not ready for prime time - at all.

Port on the back of the mic is a problem.

But the port on the back just stopped being stable with no knocks or damage to it just outside of the store return window so now I have to do a warranty replacement.

Doesn't hit the mark on enough areas

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Not a horrible microphone, definitely better than the average plantronics headset, but if you are doing anything at all with music this is NOT the right mic due to horrible sound quality on background noise. If you are doing something with more voiceover work or podcasting, expect to still hear a bit of background noise, and only use extremely low profile keys, like the Microsoft Surface keyboard or Apple magic keyboard low profile. This microphone is better for directional sound pickup as it's more even regardless of your aim when compared to the yeticaster, but it's going to make your voice sound quite a bit more warmer than you are used to or may desire, if you are used to a Rode, or another yeti blue. I would recommend the regular over the professional, or get the highest end analog/digital yeti.

Posted .Hi there, thanks for your feedback on the Yeti X. The microphone's high sensitivity can sometimes pick up unwanted background noise. To improve this, we recommend checking out the Blue VO!CE software that comes with the Yeti X. It has noise reduction features that can help!

Decent not bad not great

But the interface is rather hard to understand unless you use one of the templates already on the Yeti software. Even then, my voice gets cut off sometimes.

Posted .Hey there, I'm sorry to hear that you've had some issues with GHub. I would recommend fully removing the software from your computer (not just uninstalling but removing any excess files left over after removal as well) and try to reinstall the software, which usually fixes the issue of products not being recognized.

It has never worked

I’ve tried 2 more times and still does not work. I have not been able to get it back to the store Because I am not going out anywhere. I will be returning this as soon as I can. I do think that perhaps it might have a faulty cord so I’m not sure how to rate this product on it’s actual performance.

Sorry to hear that your Yeti X is having issues. Aside from returning the product, the only other option i can suggest is either trying another cable of the same connection points (USB-Micro USB) or following this link to applying for a warranty with Blue. https://support.bluedesigns.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043110574-Warranty-Yeti-X

Nvidia broadcast uses up to 100% of my gpu (EVGA RTX 3070 Ultra XC). Nvidia broadcast was also causing a loud static sound in Discord that all of my friends said was awful, after the sound i had to reset my audio devices in Discord settings. TLDR: Buy HyperX
