    Disconnects with the slightest touch

I absolutely regret buying this microphone. Every time I touch the microphone in the slightest, the microphone disconnects from the computer. (I believe I read online that it is the Micro USB port that is very very sensitive) I stream, and several times during a stream i will have to reconfigure my audio devices because the microphone has disconnected. Very disappointed in this product quality. I will be returning if possible.

      Hello Genevieve,
I am sorry that you have experienced an issue with your Yeti X disconnecting; I would like to help. If you have not already done so, pleased download the Logitech “G Hub” software for customization and updates. I have attached a link to the support page for your Yeti X. I would also manually check for driver updates.
If you are on Windows 10, in “Device Manager” under “Audio Inputs and Outputs” you should see your Yeti reflected as one of these microphone options (Yeti may not appear in the name on this screen). You can check for driver updates by right clicking on the microphone -> select update driver -> search for drivers -> At this point you may see “The best drivers for your device are already installed” but there should be an option to “search for updated drivers on Windows Update”. Please select this option, and install these driver updates. I hope these suggestions resolve the issue that you experienced. Please feel welcome to visit the Logitech website for further support.
      Best regards,

In a test between my MacBook Pro on it's own, or my MacBook Pro connected to this mic - the MacBook Pro sounded better. Is this mike just for looks? Maybe it's good with other modes, but didn't help my solo calls at all.

Overpriced for issues that shouldn’t exist

Constant issues with not being recognized by windows, then off blue voice effects if you hit the mute button, so constantly had to go back into ghub to turn effects back on. Overpriced for being the worse of the blue yeti mics. Stay with the snowball or classic if you’re getting one of the blue mics, do not recommend this mic at all.

Headline says it all, really: this mic sounds great and is built like a tank! I think this line of microphones is mostly well-known for how easily they work with a variety of computers and devices with USB ports and I've found that to be no exception here. So far, I've connected it straight into a PC, a Samsung Android tablet, and an iPad (these last two with the help of a few adapters) and the microphone showed up immediately. Nothing to download or install and works great, particularly with Audacity on the PC side and Ferrite Pro on the iPad. The sound for speaking voices is really nice and full. I'm no singer, so I can't say how it would work for recording vocals - but I don't see why it wouldn't at the least be very serviceable once you have your gain setting right. And speaking of, I absolutely love being able to monitor the microphone's level right on the mic itself. That knob is a thing of wonders! You can control the volume of playback with it as well if you're connecting headphones directly to the mic, and a quick push in on the dial will mute the mic entirely. Here's something I'm not wild about: the button to change sound patterns on the back is great, but making out what those teeny-tiny symbols mean is asking a lot of my 40+ year old eyes. Not sure why those icons couldn't be just SLIGHTLY bigger. Also, this microphone is compatible with Logitech's GHUB software. I have downloaded it and when I tried to use it the software said I needed to restart my PC. I did so and got a "restarting" screen that lasted way, way longer than my 2 day old and well-equipped brand new desktop should have taken. Maybe this is Windows fault? Sure, possibly. But as much as I like Logitech's hardware products overall I've not had great experiences with their software. So, if you're super excited about using that with this microphone maybe do some more research on the stability of it. But the good news is you don't HAVE to use it at all. So, yay. Anyway, this thing looks great in all black and I love the weight of it. I don't see any reason it won't last for years and should more than cover anything I need out of a microphone. Compared to the Shure mic I've been using going through a dedicated audio interface, I'm not seeing any real dip in audio quality. And that's a big win for the simplicity of set up that the Yeti requires.

I was excited to get this microphone for the color versatility and the sleek look. Well, this mic is so poorly made and overpriced. I got my 1st one of these yeti-x mic and within a week it wouldnt register sound, so whats the point of a mic. I returned it thinking it was a defective model, nope. The second one broke the same, this time I was busy with school finals and didnt use it much, now 2 days after the 30 day return policy, its broken the same way. As a student this much kinda hurts, but a lesson learned. Never trust Blue Microphones, very very poor quality.

This product no longer works with Mac's with an M1 chip, running Big Sur. It loops and repeats/echos in every use case and is now an expensive paperweight. It has been 2 months since the microphone last worked and the manufacturer has no insight into when this issue will be fixed. To make matters worse, I'm outside of the Best Buy return window, so now I'm stuck with a bad microphone and am out $180. Infuriating

Hi Ryan, thank you for sharing your experience with the Blue Yeti X Microphone. I'm sorry that it there are compatibility/function issues with the Yeti X on Mac OS Big Sur. It has taken developers longer than expected to resolve issues that arose after the launch of Apples new operating system. It is not uncommon for issues of this nature to happen and we apologize for the problem. Logitech and Blue hope to have the issue resolved in the near feature. Thank you for being a Logitech and Blue customer. Kristi from Logitech.

Don't buy this unless you want to mess around with GHub, which is required to get the best sound out of this finicky device. And GHub is a gaming product, and is itself finicky. I wasted a good hour trying to get this mic to work. Tech support on the mic side didn't know about GHub, and GHub tech support didn't know what to do about the mic. Returned it the same day.

If you are looking for the best of the best usb mic on the market today, look no further than the Blue Yeti X. This is not only one of the best quality mics on the market, but it looks the part too. It has a nice metal base and a matte black finish on the microphone piece itself. The Blue Yeti X is the first dedicated mic that I have used on my PC setup at home due to my headset breaking; and I will say it was one of the easiest installations of a mic I’ve ever seen. All I needed to do was plug into the next available usb and I was all set. My experience using this mic has been incredibly good as well. I was able to test my voice and have a few friends listen to me online as well and there wasn’t a single complaint and, in fact, they could all hear me more clearly than on the headset. There are only a couple negatives with this mic. The first is the light on the front of the mic itself. It is an indicator of how loud you are and is a simple way to determine if you need to turn down your mic input volume. However, it is always on and some may find this distracting especially if their room is dark. I have personally never found this feature distracting. The only other downside to this mic is the price. While the price may be a bit more expensive then other mic, what you get is an incredible product. I highly recommend this mic if you are one of those people that take conference calls through skype online or are trying to start up a streaming channel, either way, this is a great mic that Blue Yeti has provided. I recommend saving up your quarters to buy one!

    Perfect for the Pro / Semi-Pro Podcaster/Streamer

I have been using the Blue Yeti X for a few days now and thinking about the best way to write a review for a microphone when really you need to hear the sound difference. Things you need to know. First, this is well built, has some weight to it, and it's a desktop microphone. If you podcast or live stream from a fixed location (home or studio) then the Yeti is perfect. But this is not a microphone to take on location. Connectivity-wise it connects via micro USB (wish it was USB C, but that's not a deal-breaker) and it does plug and play with Windows 10. There also a line in (3.5mm) if you want to plug in external headphones although there's only 1 3.5mm port (2 would be great for podcasters). Both ports are located on the underside of the microphone but there's plenty of clearance on the stand so you don't need to worry about cable clearance. What I LOVE about the Yeti is that front mounted gain-volume control. If there was one reason to get the Yeti is because it's more than a control. It has also has handy lights so you can ensure your levels are within the safe range. Oh, side note the Yeti doesn't come with pop filter (which is the only real miss for such a high quality microphone). You can also quickly mute the Yeti with the same knob. Audio recording. crystal clear perfect sound. I have definitely noticed my audio recordings sound clearer and less nasally (treble tones are not as harsh). I am still playing with some of the other settings on the Microphone to find the perfect option (there's a switch on the back for Omni, Stereo, Cardioid, Bidirectional Audio). I have also started using this for gaming (probably not what Yeti expected) and have found it's better than having a boom microphone on my headset. If you're wondering, Cardioid works better for me as a setting. Final verdict. This is definitely a huge upgrade on my previous setup (gaming mic) and if I invest in a pop filter the Yeti would be perfect. I would recommend this if you're a podcaster or live streamer (my use is podcasts)

If you are serious about your YouTube videos, podcasting or streaming your gaming then you need to have the Blue Yeti X mic. First of all, you can tell that it is a high quality mic right out of the box. Second, it is very easy to set up once you have the Logitech G hub app. Once you have the app you can customize the mic to best fit your needs. The reason why you get a mic like this is for the clarity and boy does it deliver! Everyone noticed the difference as I was gaming, I didn't even have to ask them. As I listen to my old podcasts and videos and compare them to the new ones that I have made with the Blue Yeti, the difference is night and day with my voice clarity. The mic comes with a nice 11 segment LED meter to let you know if you are too loud or not loud enough. It also comes with a smart knob to let you adjust the mic, your headphone volume and it will even blend the mic signal and computer sound in your headphones. The mic allows you to do 4 pickup patterns: You can do bi-directional, cardioid, omni and of course stereo. You will not be disappointed with the quality and versatility of this Blue Yeti X mic. If you want to seriously upgrade the sound quality of your videos, then you need to get this mic.

The Blue Microphones - Blue Yeti X Professional Condenser USB Microphone should be the first choice, when needing a professional sounding microphone. It performs just as a higher cost microphone does without straining finances. Peoples’ voices are picked up from any area within the room and sounds as though the person is speaking right in front of the microphone. Multiple people speaking at the same time can be heard clearly without any distortion. The downloading of Logitech G HUB software opens up a variety of features that can customize the output of the microphones sound. There is a LED meter that lights up green, yellow and red to notify me of any needed adjustments. The four vocal pickup patterns available are cardioid, omni, bi-directional, and stereo. It has a multi-function smart knob that can control mic gain, mute and headphone volume. My vocals sound more professional with the Blue Microphones - Blue Yeti X Professional Condenser USB Microphone.
