As you probably derived from my review headline - I absolutely love this Blue Yeti microphone. Blue is known for producing quality mics, and this is no exception. In the box you will find a quick start guide, USB cord, and of course the Blue Yeti condenser mic. Opening the box you are presented with one beautiful device. The craftsmanship and detail combine to produce one aesthetically pleasing piece of hardware. I was blown away with the look of this Blue Yeti World of Warcraft edition. Don't get me wrong, standard Blue Yeti mics look great themselves, but this WoW edition is second to none. The gold tone accents and laser etched symbols provide a level of beauty not found in many other microphones. Holding this mic in your hand and it is easy to feel the solid build quality. This feels like a considerably more expensive condenser microphone. Setup is truly plug and play for quick out of the box use. I installed and used this mic on both a MacBook Air and Windows 10 PC. Both were seamless installs and ready to use right away. This four capsule condenser microphone has four patterns including bidirectional, omnidirectional, stereo, and cardioid. Whether running a podcast, recording YouTube audio, performing cross-table interviews, or any other use I think you will find the Blue Yeti can accommodate all of your audio recording and microphone needs. This unit is solid, heavy, and stable just as a standalone desk placement and can be placed at nearly any angle using the built-in hand turn adjustments which do securely keep the microphone right where you need it. There are also swing arms, clamps, and other accessories to improve your placement options. I did not test these so I cannot speak to their performance. With the on-board voice metering you can visually see the level of pickup entering into the mic. On board adjustments for volume and metering provide adequate control, however, utilizing the Blue Voice software by Logitech brings incredible added functionality and control. Filters, noise reduction, equalizers, audio effects, you name it - it can likely be accomplished. Other than the custom design, what sets this Blue Yeti apart is the WoW functionality. There are built-in voice modulation presets for WoW characters that allow you to sound like many of your favorite WoW gaming characters, and this feature works quite well. Add to that the Shadowland and Warcraft audio samples, this microphone provides a gaming experience unlike any other. I found myself more immersed and my fellow gamers were blown away by how enriching these features were to the overall experience. Pushing all the WoW extras aside for a moment, this is one incredibly powerful microphone. Superior sound quality, feature rich, high-end build. This has absolutely become my go-to microphone, not just gaming but for video conferencing and all my microphone needs. I cannot say enough about how amazing this Blue Yeti performs. I love this mic! I would HIGHLY recommend this to my friends, family, co-workers, heck anyone who will listen. FANTASTIC JOB BLUE!

This microphone is extremely well built - with a solid heavy base and beautifully designed with gold accents, including ruins inscribed on the base. Features that are useful for recording and live streaming include: four different pick up patterns for recording; a unique control knob that allows for setting volume on both the microphone and headset and balance; and visual metering on the mic. Features that make this microphone just plain FUN are: an ability to customize the illumination colors of the control knob; various audio samples ranging from preset phrases to animal and background noises; and different character presets and effects that allow you to change your voice so you can sound like anything you want while speaking - from orcs to gnomes and everything in between. The sound quality on recordings is very good - this will be my go-to microphone for recording training videos, and for streaming live. I have used a couple of different mics before, but after opening the Blue Yeti, everything was different the build quality on this mic is just so much better than anything I had used, and surprisingly the world of warcraft branding added a nice touch. I tried the mic with discord and zoom. I let my kids use it during their virtual class and it sounded great all the time. We played around with the voice changer and while it was fun it was not something I would use all the time. Just so we can see what kind of quality the mic was I had a friend use it to record some music, and it honestly sounded excellent. This mic works for everything and I highly recommend it.

I had looked at the Yeti Mic in the past but went with a snowball due to cost, when I moved I left it with my brother who started to guest record on a friends podcast. With how things have turned out this year, I have been occasionally chatting in with them and looking to stream for fun. I was looking at a snowball similar to what I had, but when I saw the World of Warcraft edition I decided to go with the yeti, I'm not much of a WoW fan but I love special editions and the accent colors a really nice on this Mic. I have used this thing for a lot of conference calls, I was using the on-board mic on my work laptop, but since I got set up to work from home with a docking station I simply plug the Yeti in when I need to speak, it's leaps ahead of what I was using. Outside of being potentially muted, I now have the confidence in my mic to simply speak without asking if other can hear me fine. The microphone does an amazing job at capturing my voice clearly. I use windows 10 and the Mic was pretty much plug and play for recognition, which works well. The multi-function smart knob is awesome! You can easily monitor and modify the microphones gain directly on the Microphone itself, plus adjust the headphone volume and blend by holding the button. Easily Mute by pressing the knob, green (live) and red (muted), but can be changed in GHub along with the colors for the icons around the knob which shows the levels for whatever mode you are currently in. Ghub is definitely a wonderful application! It allows you to modify the gain (although I prefer the knob) but I really like the Blue Vo!ce presets, this allowed me to simply test and find the preset I found best for my voice. There is a ton of World of Warcraft samples built into the application, you can also record your own samples which can be assigned to other compatible Logitech G devices. The Mic has 4 patterns for capturing audio, I always have it on cardioid mode with what I use it for, but the other options all have their purpose based on what you are trying to capture. Overall the mic is a thing of beauty, not just in looks but in function. It gives me a presence in my teams conference calls, but soon hopefully in some content of my own, not just in some banter with friends on their podcast. I just need to jump on and start creating, and this Mic is one piece in making that a reality.

World of Warcraft (WoW) has generated lots of aftermarket support in quality products. For example, Paul Teutel, Jr., of "American Choppers" fame built a pair of Azeroth-themed cycles that were highlighted during a few of the episodes of the show. This WoW-themed mic follows in that same thread. At first glance, the unit is slightly off-putting due to the runes featured prominently all over it, especially in the places where "normal" labeling would go. It does take some getting used to during initial setup when playing around with volume, function, and other features, but that just adds to the appeal. Users can imagine they're even more an integral part of the game since they have to "read" the runes for items that aren't actually part of the game play. Other features, such as the lighting, heft, and colors, all serve to tie the mic into the theme without going overboard, something that's very hard to do with an accessory. Actual setup is very easy, just plug-and-play. It would help if the user had a dedicated mixer already, as the mic is very versatile and not just programmed for playing WoW. Different uses have different recording and publishing requirements, and the default app that Windows, at least, suggests, isn't quite up to the task. Setting up the mic for things like podcasts or creating voice-overs for YouTube videos is as simple as dialing the knob. It's a good size, standing almost 6" tall, which allows for user comfort as they don't have to lean over to ensure a screen-mounted mic picks up everything, as well as allowing guests to speak and be easily recorded. Overall, this is a good unit that serves a multitude of uses. If one doesn't play WoW, then it might seem incongruous with another theme, but it fits right in with someone who is dedicated to gaming as a quality piece representative of one of the biggest games of all time. Setup and use is very easy, but again, deciphering the runes will take a little getting used to. This is recommended for anyone for personal use or even to send as a gift.

This microphone is of great quality and provides excellent sound. The WOW sounds are a bit gimmicky but might be fun for some. Looking beyond that it is a solid microphone for everyday use.

Meh, its a blue yeti. Its a ok mic, slightly better than a decent headset mic. The major downfall is the customer service. Its beyond horrible. If you ever get a response it will be a answer that is already listed in the manual. Try and get through to someone who has any knowledge of the product is apparently impossible. I currently have a 12 day open ticket. Buy it through best buy so at least you can return it when you find its really nothing special. There are much better mics out there for a lesser price. Tried it, its ok, but since I cant get a response from Blue on a setup question its going back.
