Love this mic, so much I bought another one. Hard to get during Xmas but I found two. Great for blogs.

As someone who has used a headset-based microphone for a very long time I have to say going to a condenser based standard microphone is like night and day. This mic sounds amazing compared to any headset mic I have ever used and even some other USB standard mics (like the blue snowball). The overall build and finish of this mic is great super solid feeling with a nice heavy base that never feels like its going to shift around even if its lightly bumped. Also the gold accents for this warcraft edition are super sharp looking as well. The nice features with the runes in place of standard text is an awesome touch as well. For sound quality this thing sounds great even in a room that not treated for sound dampening, however I will note that if you plan on using this mic near your keyboard you might want to get a quite keyboard. I happen to have a “Clacky” keyboard and the mic picks up every little bit of clacking which is a little unfortunate. Otherwise tones sound good and my voice is about as clear as I’ve ever heard it in any recording so I would say it does well overall. One final word of note is the software. This is what really makes the mic shine. The preset that are available in the software are great they can give you a warmer tone or make you sound like an am radio broadcast, whatever your going for it can be done super easily in the software. The voice changer is a nice funny touch too for those people who might want to experiment a little with different sounds. I would say if your looking for a solid upgrade to a standard headset mic and you have the space on your desk for this (it is a little bigger than I thought it would be at first) then this is a must grab at a great price point to boot. It also helps that it’s USB based so that I did not need to worry about XLR or phantom power or anything that relates to most studio style microphones. If I had one complaint it would be that they used micro USB instead of a USB C but because of the overall quality in other areas I can overlook that.

Very nice built. Great sound quality. However, the mini USB cable connector is not the best design, no strain relief. It causes connection issue.

My son got this for gaming and streaming. audio quality is phenomenal.

The Blue yeti x is a step up from the old blue yeti that I used to replace. The micro-usb socket is a tad loose on this and so finding a replacement cable that works instead of the stock one is annoying (i wanted a shorter cable since the included one is long). I would still probably recommend a dynamic mic like the shure or rode stuff over this but for plug and play, this is kind of hard to beat for a standard mic at the sale price of $100.

My comes in clear and crisp. Definitely a quality mic from a well known brand!
