    Worthless. Does nothing to remove dust particles or odors. May have slightly helped my allergies but I feel stuffy whenever the purifier is on. Online ordering and delivery was a disaster and customer service is useless. I won't shop with Bestbuy.com again. And I've been a loyal customer for years.

    Smells bad and still does after two weeks

    Terrible smell that won’t go away, even after two weeks of continuous use. Am considering returning the whole thing and trying a different brand

      Many new products release a new smell upon opening and using right out of the box. This is also true for filter media. Filter fibers can absorb a smell from other materials during the packaging process. This smell and all components involved during our filter production are harmless and non-toxic. This newness smell should move through and out of the filter within 48 hours of use. We would be happy to provide a filter free of charge to assist with the issue.     It has a rubber smell that never goes away I had it for 2 weeks and I had to return it.

    Unobtrusive, quiet, cleans large air volume

    Excellent purchase - whisper quiet on low, good ratio of cost relative to the volume of air cleaned when compared with almost every other air purifier on the market. Filter is not a HEPA filter, but has made a big difference for me. It feels much easier to breath. Like it so much I've purchased a second one for my bedroom. Highly recommended.

    You would think an air purifier would leave the room smelling fresh and clean. The air left behind had a subtle chemical-like smell. Returned for a refund.

    This is our families third purifier. Due to our previous units being discontinued we opted on this. My biggest complaint is that it does not have the option for carbon odor filtration. The packaging is quite misleading.

    Really great for dust collection

    I have to give this credit credit. It not only still works almost 5 years later, but it does an amazing job at collecting dust. I end up having to clean the fabric cover about every 2 weeks or so. I barely have to wipe off my Dyson ones, so you can tell the Blue purifier is doing it's job when it comes to dust collection. I also love how quiet it actually is. While not whisper quiet, its quiet enough on medium speed that I can easily forget its even running when it's right behind me. When you first get this running it lets off a bit of an odor that you may or may not mind, but that shortly goes away in time.

    Great Filter without Breaking the Bank

    I've tried other air purifiers, but the BlueAir 211+ is a genuinely great buy. The filter is quiet, except for the top speed setting, which still isn't bad enough to be terribly distracting. The BlueAir's compact size fits well into any room space versus some large "console" models. The single touch button on the front of unit simplifies operation, since I believe most users will just prefer to plug it in and forget about. Turn it on and walk away. The one caveat is that don't expect it to clear the air in just a few hours of use. Pet and cooking odors need a day or two to go away. On day two of constant use, there was a marked improvement in all aspects of air quality.

    Amazing product! I started dleeping so much better with this unit in the bedroom. I have 2 dogs and this unit is amaxing in handling hair, dust and odor. I bought a second unit for the living area. Very pleased with the products and can recommend with out any reservations

    I was constantly waking up this summer with a scratchy throat , thought it had to do with my 2 dogs. A day after I had this running no more throat and allergies dramatically cut down! Highly recommended this to everyone I know that has pets / allergies

    Easy setup. The noise level on the 2nd setting sounds like a low fan but I like that. Bought this because every year when the air decides it needs to be gross with pollen, ragweed, etc., my eyes won’t open before 8am even with an alarm and that’s a problem for me. I turn this thing on medium setting before bed and now my eyelids don’t feel like heavy cotton balls in the morning and my nose isn’t stopped up. I’m not running it all day because I’m a tightwad and don’t need an extremely high electric bill.

    Tried to go cheap with our first air purifier at $100.00. We purchased a house that for some reason has a high dust concentration. The first air purifier we tried didn't make any difference. I didn't want to spend a lot but after that one was a bust I went with the Consumer Reports top rated one and must admit that I am getting my monies worth as this one is a dust buster!

    The filter has a smell to it

    It's a fairly quiet machine. I really like how quiet the low setting is, but I would prefer if the medium setting was a bit less loud too. The high setting is like high on a large fan. Very noisy. I also like how it remembers what setting you had it on even if unplugged. So you could schedule it with an outlet timer. A remote control would be nice too considering this thing is $250 however. But the issue I really have with the machine is the carbon foam part of the filter has a smell to it. Some kind of adhesive/resin smell I suppose. It's not uncommon for a filter to impart a smell to the air it pulls through it, but the smell here is somewhat annoying to me. It also doesn't subside even after months of light use.
