Lovely little unit, but may have recieved open box

None of the parts inside were individually packaged,and there was no tape over the folds. I suspect this may have been a returned item pukked accidentally and sold as new. Will be exchanging for a different model.

The Blue Pure 511i Max stands just 14-1/2" tall and at only about 9" in diameter, it's very compact and takes up very little space. The cloth-like exterior blends in nicely with any decor and they even have optional filter colors available for purchase. Using the Blue Pure Max is easy as it comes ready to go right out of the box. Simply plug it in, choose one of the three speeds, and you're on your way to cleaner air. There's a night mode which sets the Blue Pure Max to the lowest speed, although it's pretty quiet on all settings. Not only can you adjust the speed, but you can adjust the brightness level of the LED lights. It also offers a child-lock feature which can be turned on/off. It has a reminder light when it's time to replace the filter but they typically last six to nine months. Although the Blue Pure Max will work just fine without the BlueAir app, installing it allows you to monitor the filter and purifier remotely. If you don't connect to WIFI, you can even turn off the WIFI light. I'm using the filter in a guest bedroom, about 12 x 13, and it seems to work great. I can definitely tell the difference as the air smells cleaner! However, the greatest thing about the Blue Pure Max is how quiet it is. At the lowest speed, you can barely hear it, but you know it's working!
