The Blueair InvisibleMist™ Humidifier comes packaged with a user manual, an extra water pump sponge filter, a 12v barrel jack power adapter and the humidifier unit itself. Setup Setup was very easy. You first download the Blueair App and register for an account. Then you power on the device. The Blueair InvisibleMist Humidifier uses Bluetooth to pair with your phone for setup, so you need to make sure Bluetooth is turned on in your phone. The Blueair app should now be able to find and display the humidifier. You then follow the prompts to select the Wi-Fi network you want the humidifier to connect to. The setup process was fairly simple, and I didn’t experience any hiccups. There is a touchscreen interface on top of the unit that has the following indicators and touch buttons: Humidity Level Indicator Power On Indicator/Button Wi-Fi Indicator Low Water Indicator Expired Filter Indicator/Button Auto Dry Mode Indicator/Button (the default is on and will cause the unit to use low airflow to dry out the filter after use or when the water tank is empty) Fan Speed Indicator/Button Auto Mode Indicator/Button (this causes the unit to automatically adjust humidification power to meet target humidity level) Night Mode Indicator/Button (this causes the fan speed to be extra quiet) Operation and Use Operation is very simple. You can pour water at the top of the unit to fill the water tank, or you can remove the water tank and take it up to a sink to fill it up with water. The water tank even has a handle for this. For me, I just poured water into the top of the unit using water bottles. The tank has a visible maximum water line to help you know when the tank is full. At first, I was confused because the Low Water Indicator was still on even though the water tank was full. I found out I have to turn off the unit and turn it back on for it to realize that there is water in the tank. I found the Blueair InvisibleMist Humidifier to be very quiet although I can hear the fan if the air is super dry, and the humidifier is working hard to increase the humidity level. But once it reaches a comfortable level (like 40%), the fan is basically silent, and you only sometimes hear what sounds like trickling of water. I did not see any visible mist coming from the top that usually occurs with ultrasonic humidifiers. The Blueair InvisibleMist Humidifier uses technology that doesn’t produce a mist or any white dust or residue that typically comes from ultrasonic humidifiers. The air coming out of the top of the humidifier felt cool and comfortable but not wet. Today was a very dry and cold day in my house. The Blueair InvisibleMist Humidifier reported a humidity level of 32% and my ThermoPro Hygrometer reported a very dry 29% for the room. After about ½ hour of use, the Blueair InvisibleMist Humidifier reported that humidity level rose to 42% while my ThermoPro Hygrometer reported that the humidity level increased to 35% and that the room went from “dry” to “comfort” level. This was really impressive to me! I hope that this will help make my room more comfortable for me and help alleviate my dry itchy skin and prevent static shocks when I need to work on upgrading parts for my computer during the dry winter months. The Blueair app is also very nice and intuitive to use. You have complete control over the humidifier using the app and it provides very useful information (such as a graph of the humidity levels over time) and the current humidity level and temperature. Overall, I am really impressed with the Blueair InvisibleMist Humidifier. It seems to work really well in raising the humidity levels of my room. It is simple to use and is easy to maintain. It is also very quiet during operation. Finally, I am very impressed with the mist-free technology as it doesn’t leave any wet residue nearby the unit. I can easily recommend the Blueair InvisibleMist Humidifier to anyone looking for a humidifier to make their home more comfortable and healthy.

As a person who has past trauma to my nose, I find that dry environments tend to cause me issues breathing and also frequents congestion and nose bleeds. Naturally I would look for relief and I have found that with the Blueair H35i. I trust Blueair products because they are top notch I have owned a number of their products for air filtration and they perform admirably. My experience but has been great for every product of theirs that I own and have owned. I have carpet at home, along with a dog who sheds an unbelievable amount of fur to the point where one would wonder how he has any fur left on his self. I use a Blueair purifier and it does the job cutting down on dander and pet hair. Now I was searching for a humidifier and owned quite a few over the years and they would all put out a strong mist making the room it is in a damp and wet mess. While that may be the point of a humidifier it doesn’t have to be a soggy and wet mess. :::General Impressions::: Upon opening the box, I was taken back on how big this product is and it is not a bad thing once setup and running. I would classify this as the “Dyson” of humidifiers because it pretty much was a breeze to setup and use. You have the water reservoir on the bottom, the filter, the top part with the LCD screen and the power cord. It is very lightweight and even when filled with water it remains light. I have had this for a few days and filled it to the max and I use it overnight for roughly four to seven hours depending on how long I sleep or my infant son. We both have congestion issues most especially during the night. I have the Blueair application on my phone and pairing it was effortless. I like that I can set features such as power on and off, adjusting fan speed, lcd brightness, and setting a timer and schedule. I personally like the timer feature and use it every night, I like not having to shut it off manually every day. I would like to reiterate that I have owned numerous brands over the years and none are like the H35i. This humidifier is nearly silent and doesn’t flood the space with a mist of water as if you were at Niagara Falls. I appreciate not having my furniture and bedroom a soaking wet mess. Not having to worry about mold issues is an added bonus. Filling the BA H35i is just as easy as using it, you can literally take a pitcher and pour it right into the top of it. What other device can do that? :::Pros & Cons::: Pros: - Easy to setup and use - Convenient smartphone application with lots of features - Virtually quiet - No mist Cons: - Replaceable filter :::Closing thoughts::: The BA H35i is a near perfect product, it does what it is designed to do and does it well. It has lots of features and options that make using it a breeze and nearly effortless. My only complaint as with most of their products is the replaceable filters. If you want quality then you have to pay for it and that’s where in time the cost adds up. It is per se a necessary evil or at least that is how I see it. Overall though I love my new humidifier and see myself using it as long as the product itself lasts. :::TL;DR::: I needed a humidifier and glad I chose the Blueair H35i, it is not like the others on the market. If you are in need of one then this might just be what you are looking for.

Whisper Quiet while Providing Pure Air Moisture

I have several humidifiers because my family gets eczema whenever the atmospheric humidity gets too low. Since my kids are currently sick and complained that the other humidifier was making odd noises, I put this one in their room and set it to be on all night while they sleep. First off, Blueair is not joking about its invisible mist and quietness. I cannot tell it is on sometimes without either standing quietly over it feeling for moisture or checking my app. It is especially quiet on sleep mode. The display’s brightness is completely customizable from 0-100%, which I love but it has one drawback. I leave it on 0% at night when I want the fan on higher than what sleep mode provides, and when I go to turn it on the next day, I can’t tell if I am or not because nothing shows, and it is so quiet. So, while I love the feature, it would be great if it could give a quick flash of acknowledgment when a button is tapped. It has a waterproof touchscreen interface that is incredibly responsive and gives the humidifier a simple and polished look. The unit itself is quite small therefore it takes up very little space. The problem to the size is that it requires frequent refills. The simplicity of the machine is laudable. It is so easy to refill if I find it is low in the middle of the night when my kids are asleep. I just pour water in from the top and the most noise I make is the sound of water splashing. I am also impressed with how easily I can clean it. Having various humidifiers around the house, most with many parts, pieces, nooks, and crannies that mold and bacteria can grow in, makes routine cleaning a chore and hard to keep up with. This is not the case with Blueair, it is so easy to clean and the auto-dry and UV feature help a lot. Plus, this is the first humidifier I have found to have dishwasher a safe tank! Blueair may have found their way into my heart through this. The app makes controlling the humidifier remotely easy if I forget to set it on for my kids at night or to leave a timer to make it turn off when they wake up to go to school. It shows current humidity and even indoor temperature, as well as a chart tracking both over the course of the day, week, and month. I can see the remaining life of the wick filter and even buy a new one. I can also set it on a schedule to make my life easier. It is interesting how much the air wick helps in terms of the quality of moist air released. Ever since I started using Blueair, I have not once walked into the room and felt muggy, moist air. My usual reason for staying away from filtered humidifiers is the ongoing expenditure of pricey filter replacements, but Buleair provides them at such an economical price that I cannot even complain about that. The only downside I find to wick filters is not being able to diffuse essential oils as I rely on eucalyptus and mint whenever anyone is congested. All around, I find that this humidifier provides superior air moisture with a simplified design that gives me less work and more comfort. It is a great addition for a bedroom and small enough to keep one from too much forethought on finding a spot for it. I both commend it and recommend it.

If you live in a dry climate, odds are you own or are shopping for a humidifier. BlueAir’s line of home air quality products has expanded rapidly in the last few years, now encompassing a suite of devices including air purifiers, humidifiers, de-dusters, sanitizers, and combinations of these plus portable solutions for use in automobiles and RVs. The BlueAir InvisibleMist humidifier may look more like their Blue air purifier with its cylindrical design, and it certainly mimics them with a forced-air fan design through a round filter, but its humidification works a treat. Sadly though, the smart features were clearly not a high priority, causing BlueAir to miss the mark on what’s otherwise an excellent humidifier. - Unboxing and Setup The Blueair InvisibleMist humidifier comes pre-assembled and ready to run. The included user manual lacks a quick-start guide but QR codes provide links to video setup and further resources, such as filter ordering information. Setup took just a couple minutes - unbox, remove packing material, and fill the bucket before powering on. My unit did not detect that the water bucket was filled at first, but this was remedied with a quick removal and reinstallation of the water bucket, tightening to click. No app connection is needed for the humidifier to begin working. Once plugged in, the control display at the top of the humidifier takes about 10 seconds to reach standby, and can then be powered on. Adjustment buttons on top include fan speed and automatic humidification, and setting either will start the humidifier working. The top display shows the current detected humidity level, or the target humidity level when cycling through the automatic options. - Humidifying Living in a northern state, the winter months bring incredibly dry air that chaps lips and dries skin - as I write this review in another room from where I placed the InvisibleMist, my hygrometer is reading under 30% indoors on a 30F/-1C day. My fiance and I had been using a basic humidifier in our master bedroom to combat the dryness while we slept, and the results were just OK. Just moments after starting up the InvisibleMist, we could already feel a dramatic improvement in air quality in our approximately 180 square foot master bedroom. The humidifier’s even dispersion, forcing air through a moist filter works incredibly quickly to hit its set humidity target, going from 30% relative humidity to 50% in under 5 minutes using automatic mode with a 55% RH target. The fan was running at a high speed initially but stepped down to its minimum once humidity approached 50%, and it maintained 50-55% humidity from there forward. The noise the fans generate at full speed is a bit loud, but once stepped down to its low setting it’s virtually inaudible. Even the action of the water pump is so quiet that I’m able to sleep just feet from the humidifier without it waking me up during the night. Impressive stuff. Leaving the humidifier to its devices, it used about a half gallon per day to maintain the 55% RH target in the master bedroom in the house where 30% was the average. Though it’s on the higher side for consumption and smaller side for tank capacity (we’re used to 2+ gallon humidifiers), the ease of refilling offsets this entirely. - Refilling & Maintenance Perhaps the best feature about the Blueair humidifier is just how easy it is to refill. Though you can refill the humidifier using the bucket like most other humidifiers, the design of the InvisibleMist lets you refill by simply pouring water into the top of the humidifier. The instruction manual states to do this once the power is off, because you’re pouring directly over the fan blades and into its housing, shaped as a collection funnel that will drain the water directly into the tank. You’ll definitely want to double check the power is off - on my first refill I didn’t realize the fan was still spinning (since it was that quiet) and the resulting splash made quite the frightening racket. Pay mind! BlueAir recommends cleaning the unit once a week with a mild detergent, as the water tank is not airtight. If you’re using tap water this would be advisable; however, I run my humidifiers exclusively with distilled water so a more modest cleaning interval (monthly) should be acceptable. Per Blueair, the InvisibleMist filter lasts about six months before replacement is recommended. - Smart Features / App Integration This is where the InvisibleMist humidifier loses quite a few points. For starters, the InvisibleMist can only connect to 2.4Ghz WiFi networks, indicating a very cheap radio was used to get the device connected to the Blueair app. I had to enable a 2.4GHz network on my router as mine (and most modern routers) default to the 5GHz standard. It was a bad enough start…which only got worse once the downloaded Blueair app requires you to create/use a Blueair account instead of single sign-on from any major service. Lord only knows what’s in those privacy terms I didn’t have hours to read. The Blueair app does allow fine control and monitoring of the InvisibleMist humidifier, which is handy for setting specific humidity targets and seeing historic trends. That’s about the extent of its usefulness, however, as the InvisibleMist does not integrate with Apple, Amazon, or Google smart home suites, and instead relies entirely on the app to perform similar functions including geo-fencing for automatic start and stop. Seeing as that feature requires the Blueair app to run continuously in the background in addition to the Blueair account requirement, I did not enable this. Needless to say, the app integration is extremely weak here and feels like both an afterthought and data grab. I don’t recommend using any of the smart features and instead treating the humidifier as a standalone device, as it still performs admirably in that regard. - Bottom Line Though its afterthought-caliber smart features are a major disappointment, the BlueAir InvisibleMist humidifier does an excellent job at its core function, keeping small to medium sized rooms comfortably humid. The ability to refill without disassembling or removing a bucket is a major quality of life improvement over other designs, and it’s earned a permanent place in my master bedroom for more comfortable sleep in the winter months. It’s also priced somewhat reasonably compared to other humidifiers, and so long as you’re good without the smart features, the InvisibleMist still comes recommended!

I was so pleased to receive this humidifier as it's now our cold season and my skin gets dry. Upon opening there is an app code to scan which takes you to the BlueAir website. Once signed up you will be able to get accurate humidity tracking, custom scheduling and filter lifetime monitoring. Since I already own a BlueAir air purifier I had the app installed and just had to add this as another device. It will only connect via 2.4 GHz which it did right away without issue after I assembled it. One wonderful feature is I can easily add 0.9 gallons of tap water by pouring in through the top circular opening. You can remove the whole top area and then you have a handled fill bucket but I definitely prefer simply adding water through the top ~ very convenient! You must be sure not to overfill past the MAX line. Also line up the 2 dots you'll see ~ one on the bottom half and one on the top as then you know it's put together properly. There is a black round touch panel on the top that tells you the current room humidity, 3 fan speeds, an A for Auto Mode (which I use all the time), Night Mode, Display Lock, WiFi symbol, Auto Dry Mode Indicator and the STANDBY/ON symbol. The Auto Dry feature is really great because after you turn it off the blue wick filter is wet from usage so this humidifier runs about a 2 hour air dryer to keep the filter from becoming moldy. There is a very informative and easy to understand paper manual included so no need to hit up the internet just to find out how to use it either. Tells you what each part is and how to put everything together. On the display there is also a Water Low indicator and a Filter Reset indicator which turns on as needed. I have been using this humidifier every night for a week and I absolutely love it. Super quiet meaning no disturbing noise. You can set your desired humidity level on the app from 30-80% but I leave mine on the default of 50%. I used to wake up with a dry mouth and nose, sometimes itchy dry eyes. Since using this they have literally disappeared. There is virtually NO messy white dust on my dresser anywhere and this BlueAir definitely lives up to how it's advertised. I seriously would not want to be without it in the cold months of Wisconsin! I cannot find one negative thing to say about this product. I highly HIGHLY recommend its purchase! You'll feel much better if living in dry air conditions. It's outstanding in every way. BlueAir you have a winner here!

I have been using the Blue Air DustMagnet Air purifier for a few years and have been very happy with it. My regular mist humidifier stopped working, and winter air is really dry especially with the heat on. So I ended up getting the new Blueair - InvisibleMist Evaporative Premium Smart Humidifier It was a “breeze” to set up though the printed booklet it came with does not mention how to fill the water tank until page 12 or 13, nor does it mention anything about the little water pump filter that was in a ziplock baggie. Hopefully it is a spare but I will check when it runs out of water next to see if it needs to be installed. Since I already had the Blueair App and an account, all I had to do was add a new device which was detected right away and easily connected to the Wi-Fi network over 2.4 Ghz band, the only one supported. The App is very informative and allows you to control the settings, humidity target, fan speed or auto, night mode, LED display brightness, etc. It also gives you a temperature reading and filter lifetime, replacement reminders. Additionally you can also set custom schedules for the humidifier to run on certain days/times and for how long. Very well thought out and intuitive App! The Blue Air InvisibleMist Humidifier is very quiet running on Auto at the lowest fan speed. Even at second level speed, it’s fairly quiet; you can sleep with it on, some may even prefer it as “white noise”. It is bigger and pricier than my previous simple cool mist humidifier but the Blue Air is a much more advanced smart system. All in all, I really like the design where you can easily fill the water tank in place from the top, the smart management capabilities with its intuitive App. The only drawback is having to replace the wicker filter which will add to the overall cost, but well worth it if you don’t mind spending a bit extra on quality.

The last few winters have been rough in regards to dry air. As the air would get dryer, sleeping became problematic as the dryness affected our breathing. We also had dry skin too. Last year, I picked up a generic cheap air humidifier; and while it did moisten the air, it required distilled water or our HEPA filter readings would go off the charts for pollution/particulates. Even with distilled water, our readings would elevate a bit as all it did was pump out some cool mist with no filtration or air quality controls. This year I decided to give the Blueair H35i a try as I needed to address several concerns. Most pressing was cleaner mist production followed by valid smart controls and real data feedback and lastly being able to use tap water to save on costs. Setup is very straight forward. All you do is download the app, set it up, turn on the unit, have your phone's Bluetooth find your H35i, pair, configure and off you go. The manual has a QR code to point you right to the app you need and provides very clear, concise instructions. One thing I really like is the way to refill your H35i. You can literally carefully pour it right through the top grills if you wish or easily lift off the one piece top, pop the filter out and the bottom has an easy to use flip up handle to carry the basin to your sink and fill it that way if you so like. The display is large and bright with a lot of good info and the smart app keeps you informed about filter condition, humidity levels and more. You can set it to auto settings or manually set everything including fan controls. You can adjust your desired level of humidity with 30%-50% being ideal. When I first turned it on and it ran for a few minutes it let me know my humidity level was ~25% which made sense as the air has been painfully dry the last week or so. Within a few hours (if that), our modest domicile (~1600sqft) had climbed from ~25% to 41% at last check and I can already feel the difference in the air. It is just a very straight forward setup and use and miles ahead of the bargain bin model we tried to use last year that ended up costing us more in the long run as we had to keep filling it up with distilled water. My other HEPA filter which reads air quality has remained at a solid *0* (which means near perfect) even as the air has become much more comfortable and moisturized with the H35i. The H35i does use a filter replacement system so when needing replacing, replacement filters are about $20USD. Replacement intervals will vary based on settings, air conditions and desired humidity. No product is perfect though. I wish the power adapter was universal versus a barrel connector and came with a much longer power cord for placement. Another complaint would be the need to connect your H35i to wifi even if all you want to do is interface with it via Bluetooth only. My last complaint is you need to create an account with Blueair to use their app. Besides these three complaints, this is a substantial upgrade over the one we used last year and is priced well enough. If you need to increase your humidity levels, this is a solid choice.

After making a move from a humid most of the year climate to an extremely dry in the winter climate, I was advised to get a humidifier to help survive the dry winter air. I am not too familiar with humidifiers and what they do, but purchased this Blueair - InvisibleMist humidifier. I can definitely tell a difference in the air when using the Blueair - InvisibleMist humidifier. My nose and mouth are not as dry as they were before the humidifier. I also noticed I don’t have as much static electricity when I walk around in socks, which has always been a winter problem for me. Setting up the Blueair - InvisibleMist humidifier and paring it to the app were a breeze. I can monitor the filter life and what the humidity is in the room when I am away from home. In the app you can set up schedules of when to run the humidifier and for how long. You can even set your desired humidity level. It has become apparent to me how dry the air is in my home. The humidifier is usually set on auto and humidity level to 50%, on average I have to refill the water tank every day or two. Refilling the water tank is very easy as you have two ways to refill. One refill way is to take the humidifier apart and fill the tank to the max fill line or you can fill from the top (make sure to turn off the machine and unplug when you refill the water). Overall investing in a humidifier has been a plus to help in the winter months, I’m happy to have the Blueair - InvisibleMist humidifier to help my winter sleep. I keep this one in my bedroom, but might invest in another one for the living room.

It's a lot bigger than I expected when unboxing this unit. It was almost the same size as the box. But when you take time to think about it, the humidifier has to be able to hold a good amount of water so it can run for a long period of time without refilling, and this unit can run all night. Speaking of unboxing, inside the box is the humidifier and a power cable plus a manual. That's it. Minimalistic, I really like that. The humidifier holds 3.5 liters of water, that's a lot. At first, I thought that the top part of the unit really does come off easily from the bottom, which holds the water. This gave me concern about if tipped over how easily water would be spilled all over the place. But then I realized that even though that is still a possibility, Blueair did this so you can easily remove the top and take the bottom tank to a sink to fill with water. The bottom tank even has a handle that pops out for easy carrying. Very cool. You also can fill the unit directly by pouring water through the top of the unit if you prefer. I still recommend though that the unit is put on a flat surface somewhere not near any electrical device just in case it does get tipped over. Downloading the app and connecting to the unit was a breeze. Bleuair has videos that will give you step by step instructions. App is simple and to the point. You can turn the unit on/off, set a timer schedule and look at humidity percentages and fan speed. I also really like how the unit looks. To me, it looks like one of those new home speakers and blends in well. You can't go wrong with this unit.

The Blueair Invisible Mist 0.9 gallon Evaporative Premium Smart Top-Fill Humidifier comes with one replaceable wick filter installed, one water pump sponge filter installed, plus one additional water pump sponge filter. While you can use the humidifier without the app, to get the most from the unit, you will probably want to install the Blueair app. There is a QR code to access the app on page 10 of the included instructions. Set up was pretty straight forward and the instructions are good. I downloaded the app and set up an account. Then I followed the instructions to pair with the humidifier. Once paired I followed the instructions to add it to my Wi-Fi network. (I’m a little paranoid so it is on the IOT segment of my network.) Note the instructions advise that the humidifier will only connect to a 2.4GHz network. One of the nice features is that you can refill the unit through the top without taking it apart. Just pour water down through the top grill, avoiding the display. If you really want to take it apart to refill it, the water tank has a flip up handle to carry it like a bucket. There are instructions for weekly cleaning that include washing the replaceable wick filter in a mild citric acid solution. The app also has an indicator for how much life is left in the replaceable wick filter. The one thing that concerns me about the wick filter (estimated life is 6 months) is the cost of the replacement filters. I found them available on the Blueair website. Buying with a subscription rather than individually when you need one saves $3 off the price of each filter. But I’m not a fan of subscriptions, so I will need to consider that $3 difference. This review isn’t about the app. The humidifier works just fine without it. But the app lets you access things besides the regular settings like setting a schedule, monitoring graphical history of the humidity level, monitoring the remaining useful life of the wick filter and the current temperature (where the unit is). In summary, after a week of use, it seems to be keeping my teenager’s room at a constant humidity level. It’s easy to set up, easy to use and not too tough to clean and maintain.

Everything came well packaged. The user manual is easy to read and has good illustrations that show each component and the Control Panel indicators. The app was easy to download the device was easy to connect. At first the indicator and app said low water level, even though it was filled to the max line, but I just lifted the top and put it back on, then turned on again, and it registered that there was water in it. I have not had any other issues. Filling the unit is easy - either through the top or you can disassemble and fill the tank directly. Very convenient options. The unit breaks down easily and can be cleaned with soap and water quickly. It also does not take up very much room - fits on a small bookcase in my bedroom. You can set the humidity level, and the fan speed, either on the unit itself or on the app. The navigation for both is simple. The unit is very quiet unless you put the fan on max, then it has a little noise (to be expected). The best part is that it does the job by putting moisture in the air - particularly during the winter. I've noticed my eyes are not dry and my nose does not bleed.

If you don't already knowthis, Blueair has been making purifiers for some time and they just recently got into the humidifier game. My kids are mild asthmatic and suffer from allergies often( Bless 'em.) , so we have used air purifiers for a while, now. But when they or I get sickand we need to add some humidity to the mix, we tend to resort to boiling vapor rub in water and covering their faces in a homemade dome for humidity ( a lot of southerners know what I'm talking about.) Tis helps to release the stuffiness of the nasal cavities. However, it can be an uncomfortable experience for many. But humidifiers dp the tricl simply by being the room. Blueair doesn't disappoint in what it does. It's quiet and easy to use. Just add water and get started. There's a large reservoir to pour water into and it lasts a good while the vapors are barely noticeable and it allows us to sleep throughout the evening There'ss an indicator to let you know when you;re low on water and you don't even have to stop the process to refill the reservoir. Just pour the water right through the top. There's a dry mode, which allows you to go through a dry cycle to make sure that there's no lingering moisture to prevent molding. Changing the water filter is super easy and the whole machine can be operated through the Blueair App, from your phone. There are so many other things you can do with the app, so it very recommended that you install it. Inside the box, you'll simply get the humidifier and the power supply. There are also how to instructions in the box as well. But I do recommend it to any and everyone.

This humidifier is truly one of the best I've ever owned. Easy top filling feature, so quiet and you can use plain tap water with no white dust residue. Match it up to the Blueair app (not needed if you don't wish to) and you're all set for taking care of the dryness in your home. I use mine every night and in this cold weather it's a must have. You won't be disappointed.

I prefer evaporative humidifiers because they don't leave white dust all over the house, even with distilled water. This one is exceptionally easy to use, fill, and manage in the app. On speeds one and two it is very quite, as well. And it is virtually silent in night mode.

Now that winter is setting in where we live, my wife asked for a replacement for her previous humidifier which went on the blink. She spends a lot of time in her home office and that is probably the coldest room in the house so she has a space heater going in there and that tends to dry out the air (in addition to the normal low humidity we experience). Her other humidifier was pretty simple but a pain in the rear to fill and the Blueair InvisibleMist humidifier looked a heck of a lot nicer and easier to use than her old one. Setting up and filling the Blueair InvisibleMist was a piece of cake, especially since it doesn't require distilled water to fill it. Use tap! It has a filter that will hold on to the salts and minerals in your water, no problem. I was able to fill the reservoir bucket with its attached handle easily from the bathroom sink next to her office. Her previous humidifier's reservoir was odd shaped and when you flipped it over to put it back on its base, invariably water would leak out. I didn't get a chance to show her how to operate the humidifier before she needed to use it but even being as tech-unsavy as she is, she got it going without a problem. Controls are pretty intuitive, though she didn't know that she could tap the 'Auto' mode several times to set a humidity percentage. All-in-all she thought it was great though she does like the fact that her previous humidifier shot a stream of humid air wherever she directed its nozzle. She would normally have this directed right towards her face to help keep her eyes moist. The InvisibleMist is a 360 humidifier and works more to bring up the entire room all at once. Still, once she got it up to about 60% in her office, she was comfortable. The only drawback I could really think of for the Blueair InvisibleMist is that it sucks through water super fast! I think that is partially because of its method of humidifying the air, but also because of the Auto Dry feature which drys out the filter between uses to prevent mold and mildew from building up. Also, because the humidifier is more open, you lose more water from just general evaporation, while her previous system was a closed system and would lose very little between uses. That being said, at least I don't have to continue to shell out for bottles of distilled water any more! Though it does have a consumable wick filter and a smaller sponge filter for the pump. It does say that you can clean the wick filter with citric acid, though I don't know if that is enough to fully refresh it or whether you still need to replace the wick filter anyway. My wife is very happy with the Blueair InvisibleMist humidifier and I think it would be great for any small to medium sized room. It is quiet, easy to use, and easy to maintain. Can't ask for much more.

Much better compared to ultrasonic alternatives

I got this Blueair humidifier for use in a medium-size bedroom where I had previously used various small ultrasonic humidifiers. The Blueair is not supposed to have the same “dust fallout” that an ultrasonic generates, which was one of its big attractions for me. Functionally, this unit has so far worked as advertised and keeps the room at a comfortable level overnight (the only time that I have it turned on). However, it seems to be capable of a lot more if required. First off, it’s a lot larger than I pictured but it still fits in the designated location in the room. I can see that it’s designed to run continuously and control the humidity of a fairly large area, but again it’s been perfect for overnight use in the cold winter weather. The water capacity is a lot more than it first appears. There are two different ways of filling it but so far I’ve only used the method of taking the top section off and filling the base directly under a faucet. It can also be filled by pouring water in from the top. There’s a touchpad control panel on the top where you can turn it on and off, put it into a couple of different modes, etc., but the important settings are best done from the associated app. Using the app, you can connect the humidifier to your wifi network and then use the app to do things like setting the target humidity level in percent. This is superior to the ultrasonic units that I’ve used, which usually just have a dial that controls the amount of mist coming out but don’t have any precise control over the humidity level in the room. One thing that surprised me is how quiet it is. Since it works on evaporative technology it doesn’t make the constant sound of other typical models. There is a fan, but even that runs silently when the unit is put into “Night Mode”, which also dims the illumination on the control panel. Nice! The only drawback might be the maintenance, especially if following the manufacturer’s guidelines to the letter. All humidifiers should get regular cleaning – and this one scores highly for having a reservoir that is dishwasher-safe! – but they also suggest soaking the main filter unit in a mild citric acid solution. I’m not sure that I’ll bother with the latter since the filter needs to be replaced every few months anyway. Since I only use it for about 8 hours a day, I’m guessing that replacing the filter once each winter season might be sufficient. In sum-up, I’ve been very happy with the way that this has performed so far and it’s definitely made a big difference in my sleep quality during this season of forced air heating.

Bring Moisture Back Into Your Home

In the winter my bedroom and skin can get quite dry. Adding this humidifier to my large bedroom has changed so many things. I no longer have dry skin, there is less dust in my room and I don’t have as many sinus problems. I am able to sleep much better. This is a mist free humidifier. You will not see the mist coming out of the device to tell it is working. Since this is mist free, you will not have any white or sticky residue. You will also not have any water damage that may happen like other humidifiers can give you if the setting is too high The top of the humidifier has the control panel, which is the dome at the very top. You can adjust the fan speed and put it into auto or night mode. There are also a number of indicator lights for Wi-Fi, low water, filter expiration and the auto dry mode which keeps the fan circulating to dry out the filter to avoid dampness on the filter. The device even shows the humidity level in your room. You also can lock the display, if you don’t want little hands changing setting on you. In Auto mode the sensor will turn the device on/off as needed, to ensure your humidity level stays where you want it. I think the Blueair app is better to use on this humidifier than relying on the control panel alone. You can access more of the features than what is on the control panel at the top of the humidifier with the app. The app does so much more. You can set timers for when you want the humidifier to turn off and on along with all the other settings that are on the control panel. You will even get notifications on your phone app to let you know when the water is low or your filter needs changing. The humidifier comes pre-assembled, but make sure to remove any tape that is holding it together from shipping. The top section, which has the control panel, easily lifts off the base. The base section holds the water and filter within it. The filter takes out any contaminates in the water. It is fairly easy to remove the filter, once it needs replacing. You simply take the top part of the humidifier off, remove the filter from the filter holder and replace the filter being sure to put it back inside the filter holder. You can fill the water tank at the top around the holes where the control panel is. If you chose to fill it directly into the bottom basin, it has a nice handle to carry it to your sink. I prefer to fill the humidifier in the bottom basin to avoid any contact with the control panel dome on top.

Helps battle dry central air heat in the winter!

Anyone who lives in a house with central air heat in the wintertime knows how dry the air can become. My wife and I have a hard time particularly over night with the air drying our our noses sometimes causing nose bleeds or making uncomfortable to breathe. Even sleeping with our mouth open causes dry mouth/throats. So a humidifier is needed. The various humidifiers I have used have all had their own issues. The humidifier we were using just before the Blueair, is a small cheap one from bezos land which have had no issues yet, but filling it was annoying, due to the shape and the fact that it needed to be flipped upside down and cap unscrewed. It got to be a pain after a while. The Blueair is the most expensive humidifier I have ever used. But it is also the nicest. Everything comes apart easily for cleaning. The main water tank has a large generous opening I can fit my entire hands in the tank to clean it. The best part is that the Blueair can be top filled. I have a pitcher that is the perfect size for the tank. Just turn the unit of and pour it into the the grate at the top and turn it back on. Could not be easier! Operation on the 2 lower settings are near silent in my room. The highest setting is audible but overnight sounds similar to white noise. The Blueair doesn't have a visible mist coming out of the top but if you place your hand over it you can definitely feel the moisture. I generally do not like the idea of filters that I need to purchase over and over, but if it helps us sleep then I will have to deal with it. The Blueair can be connected to your phone via their app, from there you can remotely control the humidifier and check the units condition as well as the condition of the room it's in. I like that I can see humidity level as a graph showing if the air is too moist or dry. There is also an autodry function that will automatically run the unit to dry out the filter to prevent bacteria and mold to form on the filter. Schedules can also be set up or even a run timer via the app automating when the Blueair will run or turn off with no interaction from you other than topping off the tank. One thing to note about the app is that it will give you the humidity and temp of the room, but only after it begins an operation cycle. So far my wife and I have been enjoying this our new Blueair. Nights are getting colder which means the house will get dryer and for our initial impressions we are sleeping comfortably.

Keeps the room comfortable with some nice features

For me, the bottom line for a room humidifier is that it reliably keeps the room at a comfortable level of humidity. The Blueair InvisibleMist 0.9 gallon Evaporative Premium Smart Top-Fill Humidifier does exactly that, so I am completely satisfied with it. We have recently gone through a very cold weather period where the heat has been on constantly, but this Blueair humidifier has kept up with the challenge admirably. But there are more good things I want to say about the excellent features of this humidifier. You can choose from three fan speeds. The lowest setting is extremely quiet, the second, fairly quiet, and the third, definitely audible but not unpleasant. You can also put the humidifier on "auto" setting to seek a particular humidity level. There is a "night mode," which is very quiet with the LED lights on the control panel dimmed to any level you want. The feature I love the most is the Blueair app, which allows you to control all of the humidifier functions through your home wireless network (Bluetooth is required for initial setup but not used afterward). Of course, you can control everything from a panel on top of the humidifier, but I think the app is much more convenient. You can set a timer for the humidifier, check the recorded humidity level for the current day, past week, or past month, and see the current humidity level and temperature. The app also gives you an estimate of the remaining life in the wick filter. When the water level is running low, a red light appears on the unit. You can refill it either by pouring water directly through the top of the humidifier, or by removing the top and pulling out the bucket that holds the water. Very simple to do. You should know that the humidity reading displayed on the unit is for the immediate area and not the entire room, which will be lower. We have two separate humidity monitors in our bedroom at a distance from the humidifier, and they show a humidity level about 10% lower than the value displayed on the unit. When I placed one of these monitors on the unit, it showed the same humidity level as the unit. In conclusion, this humidifier humidifies by bedroom well, possesses a number of great features, and is easy to manage remotely with the phone app.

    Easy to Use and Fill

This Blueair humidifier is easy to use, with a few unique options. Besides being an evaporative humidifier, the best features are for me are the ability to easily see the water level, and to fill from the top without dissassembling. There is a Blueair app, and the device was easy to pair with it and connect to my wireless network. I like that the app lets you set the auto mode and then easily select the humidity target. It also has a really cool graph showing the level by day, week or month. You can also control the LED brightness for the app, which is good if you are going to use it in a bedroom. The app also easily lets you see the humidity and indoor temperatures. You can also see the humidity level on the display on the top of the humidifier. The app also lets you set a timer and shows you the percentage left of the wick filter. As this is an evaporative humidifier, you won’t get any white dust and it can be filled with tap water. From the app you can also order another filter, or sign up for a filter subscription. Assembly was easy, and this was when I discovered that you can either fill by taking the humidifier apart, or just pouring water down the top. This is so great. The bottom basin is opaque so you can easily see the water level, and refill is just so easy. If you’ve been annoyed with the white dust from ultrasonic humidifiers, and want a nice looking humidifier, definitely give this one a try.
