Bad Headset
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This item is not good and I will have to return it to the store soon. It won’t come on and acts like it needs charging when it’s full of juice. Something is wrong with the charging part of the headset. I only used it one time since I bought it.

Excellant Bluetooth headset
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Today I am reviewing the Parrot B450-XT Bluetooth headset. In my testing, I connected them to my iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro, and even connected it to one of my ham radios. Here is what I think. Initial Impression: The packaging was good, and the headset came with extra earpads, a mic screen, and a car charger. The headset feels very strong and sturdy. Charging/pairing: The first thing I did was charge the headset. The initial charge took less than 2 hours. after looking over the instructions, I paired the headset with my iPhone 11. The iPhone immediately saw the headset and paired. This was one of the simplest pairings I have experienced. Once paired I made and received calls using the headset. Everything worked as expected. I also paired it to my iPad and my MacBook Pro and they both paired as easy as the phone. App: The app installs without any issues and opens right up. It contains pairing instructions for all of their headsets in this series. It also contains the user guide, a soundcheck to make sure the headset itself is working, and a setup for the “Parrot” button, a multifunction button that allows you to determine what you want it to do. The app is fast, responsive, and very easy to use. Fit: The headset gripped my head tightly and doesn’t come off when moving or shaking my head. It also does this without giving me a headache, which is a nice feature that many head-worn devices can’t get right. I wore the headset for over an hour and I had no headache or any discomfort from the headset. Quality: The Parrot B450-XT headset is very well made. The mic boom is flexible and moves easily without feeling loose or flimsy. The microphone picks up my voice without it being right in front of my mouth. The buttons are firm and feel solid. This is nice because I have had quite a few electronic devices fail because of cheap buttons. I expect these buttons to last a long time. The headband adjusts easily and stays in place after adjustment. The band extends from the earpiece side only, so you don’t get that uneven feel that some headsets/headphones give when the sides aren’t even. The other end has a comfortable piece that grips the head. It rotates so the earpiece e can be on either side of the head. This headset feels very well made. Sound quality: The sound quality of this headset is amazing with voice, and pretty good when listening to music. For music, I used Apple Music with a wide variety of genres. I was really surprised at the quality of this headset when listening to music. This is a communications headset, meant for clear communications, not musical quality. When using this headset with my phone and with Facetime, the audio quality was very good. Voice quality from the distant end is clear with good, steady volume and crisp audio. The mic audio was also very clear and provided a good, clear signal without a lot of background noise. Bonus: I was also able to connect the headset to one of my ham radios, a Kenwood TH-D74A. Received audio was outstanding and I got good transmitted audio reports. I cannot transmit with the Parrot button with this radio, but that is because of the radio, not the headset. Another radio did allow transmit with the Parrot button. The audio quality is not surprising as this is a communications headset. Conclusion: The Parrot B450-XT is an amazing Bluetooth headset for phones and radio communications. The build quality is excellent ads is the audio quality. If you don’t mind the size, you should be very happy with this headset. I highly recommend these headphones.

Good Headset
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like many people, my job has transitioned into a work-from-home environment. I was already set up and accustomed to doing this, but only for a day at a time. When it became a permanent arrangement, my biggest problem was with phone calls. Our company phone system is a dinosaur, and the physical phones cannot work outside of the office. As a result, we have to use our cell phones. This means for long calls such webinars and conference calls, or any call that I need both hands to reach the keyboard (which is about every call), I have been using my speaker phone. Regardless of what anyone tells you, most people talk louder when they are on a speaker phone because they feel that the other callers won't hear them if they speak in a normal speaking voice. The truth is, when you have a speaker to your hear, the sound of the caller sounds close to you, and you subconsciously feel that you are speaking louder than you are, and you automatically lower your vocal volume. This headset was an excellent solution. I'm not accustomed to wearing one, so this took a little getting used to. Putting it on made me feel like I was putting on a pair of noise-cancelling headphones, except that it immediately felt different because the speaker was only in one ear. But then again, so is my phone if I hold it to my head. I was immediately concerned that the headpiece on the opposite side of the speaker was going to spawn a headache, because it felt like it was putting a lot of pressure near my temple. I spent a few minutes using the adjustments on both the top arm and the headpiece. As a person with long hair, I also had some difficulty getting it just right without trapping a piece of hair in my face, or having a clump of hair against my ear that made it itch. After a few minutes, I found just the right settings and was surprised after an hour that I did not have a headache. The speaker on the ear piece was very clear and did a good job of blocking out background noise. Callers said that I sounded clear as well, much better than just talking over the speaker phone. The headset comes with a USB-C charging cable (no outlet plug though), and an extra microphone cover, along with a foam ear piece cover (a faux leather one is already on the ear piece at packaging). The instructions are extremely minimal - basically how to connect it to bluetooth, and what the buttons do. It's not hard to figure out, but there is little guidance. The headset also has a neat feature that will announce the caller when your phone rings (although the pronunciation is unbelievably poor), and then it will ask if you want to "answer" or "ignore". You can simply speak your decision and the phone will respond. So far I have had no issues with it misunderstanding my decision. The headset also has a mobile app available, allowing you to assign the "Parrot" key on the headset to different commands - I chose the "Mute" option so that I could get up and walk to the refrigerator during a conference call and quickly mute or unmute without having to carry my phone across the room. Overall, this is a great headset. The only complaint that I have now that I've used it for a couple of days is that it is a bit heavy. I realized that I was stiffening my neck muscles because if I bent my head forward or backward, it would start to shift. It also caused some pressure on the top of my head after a while because of the weight, and I did feel a mild (and brief) headache after a while. This is not a headset I think I could wear 8 hours a day, but that may just take some time to get used to, since I am not accustomed to wearing one at all. However, even taking it out of the package, "lightweight" is not the first word to come to mind.

Work From Home Must Have
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.\ SUMMARY This is an excellent headset which mark itself different from regular headphones with it’s noice cancelling capability and stellar battery life. The other side can hear you even when you are outside and the wind is blowing and they can hear you clearly. The battery life is rated at 24 hours when fully charged and 300 hrs of standby time. WHAT’s IN THE BOX A. B450-XT Headset with Leatherette Ear Cushion B. Spare Foam Ear Cushion C. Spare Microphone Windscreen D. USB-C Charging Cable E. Auto (DC) Adapter F. Quick-Start Guide* G. Warranty and Compliance Document* SETUP The setup is straightforward, i charged the headphones to 100% before starting the setup which i do typically with any device running on battery. Start with the headphone turned off and then turn it back on by pressing the power button and the LED will blink blue red which indicates that it is in pairing mode. Then go to the phone and initiate pairing. BUILD QUALITY The build quality is excellent, the headphones has a good amount of stretch without any creaking which is great. the Cushion on both sides are soft and i think you can wear this for long hours. CHARGING it takes 3 hours to fully charge and once fully charged, it can last 24 hours for talk and 300 hours for standby. I dont think any headphones comes close to 24 hours of talk time. Unfortunately i was not able to find any quick charge capability CALL QUALITY This is where the headphones shine. the other person can actually hear my voice clearly even during the midst of a noisy environment like a restaurant or outdoor. So if you are working from home. it can nullify any background noise. I think the headphone is a must have for anyone working from home and would like to avoid the background noise and needs to take a lot of conference calls. PROS Call Quality is outstanding Great battery life Big buttons on the headphones Good Build quality CONS Wish the headphones had both sides speakers Alexa integration was not found

Great background noise cancellation
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For my work I'm on the phone and video calls a lot. Even more since covid. This headset is great! It's well designed and feels solid, the sound quality is great, and the battery life is excellent. Design I like the feel of the headset. It has a solid build but it not heavy. It comes with a leatherette or foam ear piece cover so you can take or pick and switch them up. The mic boom clicks into position and can easily be switched to either side so the ear-piece can work on the left or right side. The actual boom can then be adjusted with greater precision. The headpiece can also be adjusted either by extending it or flexing part of it to make the fit more or less tight. Buttons The buttons are pretty easy to feel, differentiate, and use. There is a power/pairing button, volume up, volume down, and a customizable Parrot button that can be used to check the battery level or activate voice control. Use the BlueParrott app to configure the button. The App The BlueParrott app doesn't do much but enough that you'll want it. It has the manual and you need it to update the firmware in the headset. It also has the full manual and lets you configure the Parrott button as I mentioned above. Sound Quality Call quality is great! I've used it with my cell phone and laptop on different voice over IP calls and video calls for many, many hours over the last few days. I really was impressed by the noise cancellation. They claim 96% noise reduction and I don't doubt that. I did some very unscientific but difficult to dispute testing with calls and music, noise, singing, and loud kids in the background and the person in the background could hear none of is most of the time. Maybe a touch here and there but most of the time, nothing. If you work in a noisy environment as I do sometimes I think you'll be very happy with the low to none level of background sound the person you're talking with will hear.

Great Business Headset
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall for call clarity and battery time this is a great BT headset for both your computer and phone. The mic keeps your voice clear even when the kids are watching there videos and being kids. The people I was talking to didn't have an issue hearing me or making me out, nor did they complain about the noise. So this is a great mic for a noise environment and I'm happy with. Only reason it isn't five stars are for two reasons. 1. The headband, while comfortable is tight on my head dig in, so after a few hours it can get uncomfortable and need you will need to take it off for a bit to rest. 2. The App on the phone was ok, but updating the firmware I had no luck. It could be a phone issue with my Android 10 device, but it wouldn't download. Luckily though this vendor ( which is why its 4 stars and not 3) has a Windows/MAC app. The app installed and over USB I updated the firmware no problem. This headset also has voice command which can be neat if your into that for sure, but for me I needed headset that I could take calls from and have a true all day battery in spades. This headset for sure has that battery which is awesome. Its nice to have a headset that will cover 10 hours plus of calls in a day and not have to worry and the range is great. It was connecting to my laptop downstairs while I was upstairs over 100 feet away on a different floor. That was awesome. Again you need an all day headset and can take breaks from wearing it for 10 minutes every few hours you'll be happy with it.

Crisp Sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While testing the Blue Parrot Wireless Headset I received a phone call from a colleague I work with. In the middle of our conversation, they said, "Are you driving in your car?" I asked them why. The sound is so crisp and clear. No, currently, I am sitting here testing out my Bluetooth headphones. He said I don't hear any background noise. He couldn't hear the fan that I had running in the background, nor the conversations my family was having with one another. When wearing them at my employer the sound quality was excellent. I was able to walk about 3 rooms away and leave my cellphone at my desk. Another thing I like is that the battery life on the headset lasts long. Without use, the charge lasts for a few days. With use, the charge for me lasted a full 8 hours or longer. The headset fit comfortably and snug. I liked that the microphone piece I could easily raise up, when not in use. I would recommend these to my friends, especially in fields such as trucking, or in loud areas.

Bluetooth headset
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this headset for office use. I used to use a wired headset and really didn’t like the wire over my shoulder. This wireless headset has only one ear cup. The fold out microphone can fold either way so you can use either left or right ear. The microphone is bendable and clicks as you rotate it down. I have paired it to my Dell XPS laptop and it connects flawlessly. I have also connected it to my iPhone XR. Sometimes it connects to my iPhone, sometimes it doesn’t. Working from home I have it on all day and only put it on my head for making and receiving calls. It comes with a faux leather ear cup and a fabric style ear cup. I’ve been using the faux leather. It is relatively comfortable, but it is a little tight on my head. I don’t have a large head, so it could be pretty tight for someone with a larger head. The battery is lasting a very long time. I have used it 5 full days and it still has a charge. My only complaints that knocked it down to 4 stars are as follows. Doesn’t always connect to my iPhone. A bit tight on my head. It would be nice if it gave me a state of charge when powering up. I have other headphones that do this.
