Working in an office for many years, I have tried many wired and wireless headsets from a variety of different companies. This Blueparrott unit is extremely comfortable, and has a surprising amount of features without having a million buttons. The audio quality is crisp and clear, while the microphone has excellent clarity. I've used this headset for personal and work calls, and everyone has said my voice was coming through loud and clear. I love the fact that it charges quickly via USB-C, so it's nice to have a 1-cable solution for my phone, laptop, and headset. The Blueparrott android app has a bunch of additional features to unlock, such as deciding what function the parrott button activates. I've found this headset comfortable for long calls as well, which is a great plus.

About the B450-XT The BlueParrott B450-XT is a Bluetooth headset that is advertised as premium performing and having industry-leading noise cancellation. The headset comes with 2 earpiece covers (1 foam & 1 leatherette), 2 foam microphone covers, a USB-A to USB-C charging cord, and a car charger power adapter. Note that there is no AC charger, so you will need an USB adapter for wall charging. There are 4 buttons on the headband that control On/Off, Volume, Muting, and Pairing. It also has voice command features to reduce the need to use the buttons. The headband and microphone are adjustable, and the microphone has enough rotation to allow the earpiece to be used on either ear. Connectivity The B450-XT is a Bluetooth headset, so there are no wires to plug in. This product is geared for use with a cell phone or a computer with Bluetooth capabilities. Someone in the trucking industry might find this product very useful. It is not a gaming headset for computer gamers. I connected the headset to my Samsung S20 Ultra straight through Bluetooth. It did not require an app, although BlueParrott does have one available to unlock the full set of features for this product. You can also do firmware upgrades, though mine did not need one to work with my phone. The connectivity seemed to be like most other Bluetooth devices that I have used. I tested it to about 20-30 feet away, and I didn’t have trouble unless there were walls between me and the phone. This is typical for most Bluetooth products, so nothing unusual there. The packaging advertises that it will connect up to 300 feet away. Battery BlueParrott states that the battery will give you up to 24 hours of talk time or 500 hours standby on a charge. My experience was not as such. I talked for about 5 hours, and turned the headset off between conversations. It used 40% of the battery to do this. Comfort I have never been a fan of single-eared headsets because I typically do not find them comfortable. This headset advertised several features to help with comfort such as a padded headband, adjustable headband, and large cushioned earcup. Even with these features I still wouldn’t call this comfortable. Again, I typically don’t like these so if you are used to this type of product then you may have a different experience. For me, the headband cushioning helped but still seemed awkward to wear the headset. The earcup would go almost over my ear, but it was a little smaller so it felt like I was trying to wad my ear up and cram it into the earcup. The good thing with the rotating microphone was that you could turn it around and place it on the other ear if you grew tired of the first side. Clarity I could hear pretty well with the headset. People that I spoke with said that I was very clear, so the quality seemed to be very good. This headset advertises top notch noise-cancellation. My experience did not really match that description. I placed a call with the TV on and my wife about 6 feet away from me. When my wife would talk to me, the person that I was speaking with said that she could hear her. My wife wasn’t speaking loudly, so I was surprised by this. Overall, the call was clear and there weren’t any issues hearing each other. I’m just not sure about the 96% of background noise being blocked. I’m giving the BlueParrott B450-XT 4 stars. I think 3 stars would be a little low because the call quality was pretty good, and the headset seems to be made well. It’s not quite 5 stars because of the comfort level, less than advertised battery life, and uncertainty of how much noise-cancellation it provides. I’d also like to see a wall charger in the package, and a larger earcup would do wonders for comfort.

Received my Blueparrott B450-XT bluetooth headset a week ago and have been putting it through it's paces over the last few days. Inside the box comes the headset, and extra ear cuff and mic cuff, USB-C charging cable along with a car charging adapter and the usual user manual documentation. Before turning on the headset, I tested out the feel of the headset, which is pretty good solid. The headband part of the headset does extend out some for those with larger heads or for comfortability. Though it looks as though as it's made to be worn primarily on the right side, the mic does swivel around to the other side which allows the user to use it on their left side as well. On the ear cuff side, are 4 buttons on the side: Blueparrott Button, Power Button, and separate Volume +/- Buttons. The bluepparrott button allows for configurations to your liking via the app, or the downloaded software (which by the way was not listed in the documentation). One of my favorite features is when an incoming call comes in, you can simply say "answer," and it will answer the call for you. To power up the headset, simply hold the power button for a few seconds and wait for the power button to flash blue. This is in the pairing mode. At this point you can connect it via your mobile device, phone/tablet, or computer or TV, etc. In my testing I found the sound and quality of the headset while on calls to be loud and crystal clear. However, while listening to music, the sound was a lot softer and almost muffled. The documentation included in the packaging, specifically the manual seemed to be very underwhelming with information. Basically, I had to figure things out on my own (and with the help of the Blueparrott companion app). The app seemed to be somewhat useless in my opinion. According to the back of the packaging, it says you can update the headset's firmware via the app. Well after downloading the app, I found that to be not true. The app itself seems to be still in the dark ages in regards to design quality on the iOS App Store. And again there was no feature that I could find within the app's menu to update the firmware. I did however, just scrolling through the first few user reviews on the app store, in which a user instructed everyone to go to https://www.blueparrott.com/software/blueparrott-updater to download the software to update the firmware for the headset. Tried this on my Mac which is up to date and the firmware would not work. Switched over the my Windows PC and it downloaded and installed like a charm. Connected the USB-C cable to the headset and opened up the software and it downloaded and installed the firmware from 1.03 to 1.05. Overall, I like the headset, however, the user documentation could use some updating as well as the Blueparrott companion app. The app again seems very outdated with its design and according to the box packaging the app should allow for firmware updates which I was unable to find. On a positive note, I have used this headset over the last few days and I've not had to charge it yet.

Absolutely love the headset. It's comfortable to wear for long periods. The noise canceling feature is amazing. Would definitely recommend this item to any truck driver or anyone who is looking for a hands-free device for phone conversations.

Great sound quality, great price!! I bought a different headset tgat was stated to have the same quality after my first BlueParrott broke. There was absolutely no comparison in sound quality. The people I called could not hear me or understand me more than half of the time.

Best trucker phone! Blocks out all noise and is super comfortable

I'll start by saying that I drive truck and love BlueParrott headsets. People can't tell I'm in a truck or crowded dock while on the phone with them. My B350 v4 has been a rock solid work horse for many years. When I first looked, I had been deciding between them and the original B450 model, but saw a fair amount of negative reviews for build quality on the B450. A refresh came around, claiming to fix the issues of the previous model, but I'd say they fell short in many areas. To start, these come with firmware V1.03. You will want to update your firmware before you even start using them. V1.04 brings much needed improvements. Otherwise, you'll be wondering if you received a defective item which has static, low ear piece volume, and echoing on phone calls. Now, I will give BlueParrott credit, these headphones still have one of the best noise canceling microphones around. The voice sound quality matches that of my B350. These also include both a faux leather and a foam earpiece as well as a spare microphone cover. This is a nice touch as I found the faux leather was too slippery on my ear, but the foam held the headset in place better. The addition of USB-C charging is a welcome change as many phones are now using that standard and it's nice to need less cords in your truck. However, these will not be going on the road with me as many of the complaints from the previous version were not fixed. The headband itself is still very flimsy and made from mostly plastic. The joints look to be held together with small screws, which should make it easy to repair, but I don't think spare parts will be available. Also, the padding on the headband is now just half of a rubber tube. This is a huge departure from the previous B450 model which head padding as wide as the entire headband. It's small so there is no real grip on your head to keep sliding to a minimum and it doesn't provide much padding. I found that I had to wear a hat just to keep it in place. It also does not have the same pressure on each side of your head to keep things in place. While some may not like how the B350 gripped your head, I've yet to have it slide around like I have this with. Next, the improved range is marginal at best. I can get about 35 feet without line of sight on my B350. On these B450, I can maybe squeak out 40 feet before I get audio issues. Now, while I would never recommend these to a trucker, these would work very well in a call center. The battery life is great and when you have line of sight, the connection is amazing. The voice commands built in have been improved and I found myself having to look at my phone less while using the B450. The push to talk though is gimmicky at best. Unless you are specifically buying this headset for that feature, you're better off saving the money and buying a different model. All in all, OK device, but they missed too many chances to fix issues on this refresh that I can't recommend it to most people.

The headset arrives with a charging cable and a cigarette lighter plug charging adapter, there is no power brick. Also included is a foam headset cushion if you don't want to use the leatherette cover already installed. The start guide leaves a lot to be desired. It basically shows each buttons function but not how to use any of the functions. You are directed to download the Blue Parrott App. The main page of the APP does not have a direct link to the manual. It is necessary to choose setup then choose user guide then select your headset. If you change between User Guide and pairing instructions the headset model changes - you may not notice this and its very frustrating. I attempted to do a firmware update check from the main menu on the App. It failed saying the server is unavailable. I was able to pair with an Android ver 9 phone and an iPad ver 13.5.1 at the same time. The manual calls this Multipoint Mode. While using the iPad on YouTube the audio will be fed to the headset and if the phone rings you will also hear that in the headset allowing you to answer the call. I assume this would work if connected to Zoom for example. The manual says you just say "answer" to answer the incoming call but that doesn't seem to work when connected to two devices via Bluetooth. A quick press of the power button answers the call. All voice commands work only when the phone is the only connected device. Voice commands worked fine with just the phone connected. This should be made clear in the manual. Call clarity is very good. The receive audio is pleasant and the boom mic has noise canceling so everyone on the conference call does not hear any background noise. I tested this with a radio tuned between stations to create static noise and that noise was blocked, only my voice was clearly heard. I also tried with background noise that was not steady and once again only my voice was heard. Very good noise canceling processing on this headset. I have worn the headset for several hours and it was comfortable. Although I have a Parrot button on the headset the App when I go to program it via the App it says Network is connected and MySay is not connected. I can not find anything that refers to MySay and I have no idea what it is. In conclusion, while the noise canceling is implemented beautifully the APP and instructions appear to be disjointed and confusing . This headset may do more wonderful things but it has not been conveyed in a clear and concise manner. Seems I have spent way to much time trying to program this headset to do anything other than the basic function of a headset.

Fantastic headset. I bought this to use with my voip office phone since I’ve been doing a tremendous amount of Phone conferencing and work on the phone. Simple setup/pairing. Great sound quality. The range is superb as well, I don’t think I’ve ever walked far enough to lose signal or hear any crackling.
