I should have spent the extra money on the trucker headset. The noise cancellation works ok. Not very effective driving down highway or in loud work environments. If you work in a quiet environment and have big ears, this will be ok.

Anyone to try to talk to cannot hear you well or hear every other word. I'm so thankful for my protection plan. I was able to exchange after trying different was to get it to work correctly. Getting the kids to school, dashing in and out of stores, or even running to catch the bus home. The problem is that most of the time people can't hear me - background wind, cars, sirens, etc. drown out the calls. The BlueParrot M300-XT (a mouthful of a name) are designed to fix that and in my tests they deliver. I have been using them for a few days now and there has not been a single "I can't hear you" or "where are you and what's going on" from people I am calling. Put simply, the M300-XT's work and deliver on the promise. BlueParrot claim the headset blocks out 80% of background noise. The M300-XTs' are definitely better at blocking out background noise vs conventional headsets. In terms of setup and use, pairing to my iPhone 14 was easy. There's no prompt to download or install the (free) BlueParrot App, but I did and that unlocks some extra features like customizing the "BlueParrot" button on the side of the headset. I will note, on first pairing there was a notification that there was a firmware update. The update was a little more complicated than it should have been and I had to re-attempt it a few times. It did eventually work. The App lets you see the battery and volume status. In terms of comfort, the M300-XT's are super light and you almost forget they are there. They also DO work with glasses, something I was anxious about given the M300's hook over the ear. Speaking of ear, the box includes extra ear gels so you can get the fit right and worth noting there is an included USB C cable for charging. Overall, super impressed and the M300-XTs are so lightweight and clear, I can see me wearing them all day as I go about everything (they also pair with two devices, making them great for being out and about and also calls from your PC0. Definitely recommended.

A very versatile earpiece

You can pair this to multiple devices and it is easy to switch between devices but the volume is a little quieter than some of my other headsets. It also causes a little ear fatigue after some very short usage sessions and makes my ears tender after about a hour or so I use. The battery is where this unit really stands out. It has a 14 hour talk time. I used this all day multiple days and charged it after day two - nearly 14 hours of solid use. The charger is USB C and charges to full in about an hour or so. I'm not sold and the over the ear design but the battery life makes up for a lot of personal design choice issues. The device is IP54 dust and water resistant and the build quality is great and this unit should last easily as long as the lifespan of the battery inside. There is a button that you can customize shortcuts for to either mute, speed dial, or Push to Talk if you need. I see a lot of truckers reviewing and using this and I can definitely see the appeal as the battery life is a great function/feature. Combine that with 2 mics to cancel out background noise you have a nice replacemt for your CB mic. There's something to be said about such versatility.

Regarding the fit of the earpiece, we encourage you to try all three sizes of the provided EarGels until you find the fit that gives you the best combination of comfort and sound quality. The medium EarGel will fit most people. However, if it does not feel comfortable, try a different EarGel size. The EarGel is designed to sit within the outer ear, not in your ear canal.
The fit of your earpiece is essential to maximizing your device's comfort and sound quality. We noticed you mentioned that the BlueParrott M300-XT SE causes ear fatigue after using the device, and we want to let you know that the M300-XT SE can be worn on either your left or right ear. If your ear tires, give it a break and switch to the other ear. To change the BlueParrott M300-XT SE to wear it on the other ear, rotate the microphone horizontally to the other side. Then swivel the microphone up and over and point it towards your mouth.

Good bluetooth with great battery

It's comfortable on my ear for long periods of time and I feel like having the extended mike does result in a better quality. The speaker is solid, not a music powerhouse but great for phone calls. The battery life is excellent. I have not run out of battery at any point before I was done using it, which I normally will. I do also like that it's a standard USB connection for charging. I used to have a device physically similar to this and it had to use an adapter to charge which was annoying. Going straight USB plug is much more convenient. I have this paired with an older device that is running android 8. I'm not sure if it's because of that older system or a weakness in their software but there were a few calls I made where the other end told me I sounded distance and was not clear. It only happened a few times and all the other calls were fine so I'm not sure if it was this bluetooth, the connection to an older standard or just a bad cell connection. Overall I have been very happy with this and would recommend it for a hands free phone option.
