Great ANC, Stereo and Mono features

As always, I am looking for good headsets for both gaming needs and home office. With the Blue Parrot S650 XT, I have a very comfortable and sleek design that is also very precise with sounds and vocal. What makes this model very unique is the ability to convert from stereo to mono sound with the removal of one of the headsets, while still giving you excellent heads-free and exceptional sound quality. This was true in real-world usage for my daily morning Zoom Meetings where at times I would use both stereo and then switch to mono, and still be able to have clear and precise sounds from my colleagues. The microphone does not bend close to my mouth, but my team was able to hear me clearly and without distortion. When in ANC mode, it did sound like there was static in my ears but those on the call said they didn’t hear anything of that sort. I was impressed with the Active Noise Cancellation feature of this headset. Although for me it rests comfortably on my ears (and not over), I was afraid there would be still some sound leakage from ym surroundings. To my pleasant surprise, the ANC worked amazingly well. The company states that it blocks out 96% of the background noise and I do believe they are correct with that. I can easily switch to ANC, to transparency or “hear through” and back to offin any situation that I feel warrants. Since this is wireless, Blue Parrot states it can go 36 hours and up to 300 ft on a single charge. Out of the box I did need to charge it to full, but I did get a full 30-ish hours of various uses and was able to walk from my home office, to my kitchen (downstairs and about 100 feet of walking) with no interruptions. The Blue Parrot button on the side of the headset allowed you to personalize your favorite features, which for me to call my favorites on my call list or mute. The voice activated feature is a hit-or-miss. It begins with “hello Blue Parrot” And a list of features are available. Overall, they feel comfortable but as they are not over the ear, they can start to have discomfort since I wear glasses. But these are really great for the multi-usages and able to switch from my iPad or my Laptop especially with the ANC feature.

Before starting my own business I worked at a very large online retailer, front line, taking calls from our wonderful customers. The bean counters apparently won out on the floor layout at the facility and we were packed in there like sardines. I mention this because we could have used this device as we were constantly dealing with background noise which could cause distractions with our calls. So, out of the box, the unit feels quality. Certainly more substantial than a typical headset, it is comfortable and easy to configure to put the mic in the proper position etc. Also, you can remove one speaker for a more "typical" look and feel and to expose your free ear. Personally I like to keep both speakers in place but this is one of many customizable options. Set up was easy to get started and my first act was to listen to some music which sounded great. I also enjoy the voice control like answer and ignore incoming calls. You can also customize these functions. Jamming a way, I decided to make use of this time to get my lawn mowed. While out doing my weekly duty a customer called. Stopping the mower, I answered and had a conversation with one of my best customers. For this reason I though I would test the noise canceling feature and asked if we could take a few more minutes with "a distraction running." She agreed and I started up my gas powered 5 HP mower. We were able to talk uninterrupted and she reported that she could tell a mower was running but I was clear and easy to understand. I would not recommend using these outside for extended periods or in dusty or wet conditions but this test really solidified my confidence in the devices' performance.

    Superior Quality, Sound and Control

This particular headset is in a higher price range, but the quality is superb and the functionality is both outstanding and unique. This unit gives the user an option I have not had before which is to remove one of the earcups. Now you can use the same headset for superior noise cancelling headphones for music listening or you can use the unit for call center support when you want to keep one ear available for hearing sounds in the room. The active noise cancelling is very effective at removing all background noise. I was amazed at this units ability to keep the sound crisp and not muffled while using the noise cancelling feature. Very important is the comfort provided by the headset size adjustment and the earcup padding. I found that even with my glasses on for many hours, there was no pinching of my ears – great. The controls for volume, cell phone calls and other functions are very simple. The BlueParrott button can even be programmed so you can utilize functions the way you want – tip of the cap to the BlueParrott engineers. You can also direct the headset via your voice – another tip of the cap to the engineers for putting this convenient, useful and safety option into their headset. You also get a very rugged case for transporting the unit. This headset can be connected via Bluetooth or a USB dongle or just a direct wire, so you also have nice options with included connection devices. I found this headset to be far better than any other and it quickly became my ‘go-to’ device. I highly recommend this BlueParrott unit.

The BlueParrot S650-XT 2-in1 convertible wireless headset felt comfortable and sounded excellent. I didn't want to take them off even when not listening to music because of the comfort, I cannot say that of any 'earbud' type headphones I've tried. Phone calls (with Samsung S22 Ultra) were clear and did not disconnect, the other party said my microphone sounded good as well. Music sounded better with both earpieces connected but worked fine with just one earpiece connected for situations where you need to keep one ear clear to hear surroundings. Music sounded comparable to other headphones (incl. earbuds) at this price point, you're getting a decent quality sound. ANC worked well, one button toggled it on/off (or turned on passthrough). It took me a minute to learn that the skip button on the rear of the headphones was skipping forward, while the one in the front was skipping backwards. It has a programmable BlueParrot button, but that seems ideal if you work with a push to talk service. A note in my headset box said that the firmware on my device was updated, but as soon as I installed them, I opened the BlueParrot App to discover there was yet another firmware update ready to be installed (the installation took about ten minutes) - It is almost always a good idea to install the latest update, particularly if you want to avoid problems which have been corrected in the updates.

Good headset with strong active noise cancellation

The BlueParrot S650-XT is an all around good headset that now incorporates strong active noise cancellation. If you are familiar with BlueParrott's line of products then this will not exactly be anything too different from some of their other headsets which are primarily designed for professional drivers and enterprise solutions. All of their headsets are designed to be rugged and work in loud environments while still providing crystal clear call quality, and the S650 is no different in that matter, what it does feature is a very strong active noise cancellation feature which is fairly new to BlueParrott's lineup of products as well as being a convertible headset which you can use as some decent speakers when you are relaxing. While the microphone and speakers are amazing in high noise environments at making your calls clear and easily understood, they are not the best for media consumption, they aren't bad by any means but they aren't the greatest if your primary use case is media consumption, but, if you only intend to use them infrequently for stuff like that and your primary use case is to use as a handsfree wireless headset, then you will not be disappointed with these at all. I can easily recommend these to anyone that is looking for a handsfree headset with amazing call quality that can also be converted to work as an adequate pair of headphones for media consumption.

I was excited to receive Jabra's Blue Parrot S650-XT 2-in-1 headphones as I take a lot of road trips and needed something easier to use than my in-car speaker system that everyone in the car can listen in to. These Blue Parrot phones let me do just that. With very good sound deadening, the ability to use either one or both headphone cups, built in microphone with windscreen cover, a very long 36 hour battery that recharges in 3 hours and has up to 600 hours of standby battery life makes this S650-XT a standout set of headphones. The Jabra Blue Parrot device can be used to play your favorite music as well as make phone calls effortlessly. I found the music sound to be somewhat muffled but is does work well. Controls on the headphone are easy to use with very little confusion to mute, make calls, adjust volume and voice activated command capability. The unit is quite versatile! The headset seems well designed. I like its on-the-ear cup design as I find most over-the-ear headphones become uncomfortable after using for a little while causing my ears to heat up. The unit comes with a USB-C cord to recharge the headphone and a small user manual to get you set up and going. I plan on taking the Jabra headset on my 10 hour roadtrip next week and may have more to add when I return.

l I manly work from home and use a headset daily for conference calls. This is the second BlueParrott headset I've used and the quality outstanding. The headset is not extremely light, but just heavy enough to feel durable and well made. The fact that you can use one, or both ear cuffs, is a bonus. I prefer to use both ear cuffs for the noise cancelling effect, but can be easily removed if you need to hear the meeting and what is going around you as well. You will need to download the Parrott application to take advantage of all the wireless calling features. The app is functional and easy to use. I plan to mainly use with my PC and will use the app for firmware upgrades. Sound quality is very good and the pic is the just the right size and allows you to be hear clearly. It took about two hours to fully charge out of the box, but with the advertised run time I should only need to charge about every two weeks. The price point is in line with other quality headsets and I highly recommend if you work from home or need a good product to use in the office.

The BlueParrott S650-XT Wireless Headset performs well with clear sound, in very noisy environments. Since they were made for wireless calls primarily, that is there strong point. Playing music on them is just okay. This headset delivers Noise Cancellation of about 96% ensuring you can focus on your calls without any distraction or background noise being heard. The second earcup can be removed pretty quickly to make them a mono headset as well. The S650-XT headset comes with bluetooth connectivity and 3.5mm as well. The battery provides 36 hours of runtime on a single charge. Audio: When listening to music, the headset has a ton of bass. If you use an equalizer you can get better sound quality. I also noticed that on Android devices the sound is much better than using an iOS device. If you shake you head at all, there is a weird noise that is made in the headset. Paired Devices: You can have up to 7 paired devices, connected to two at the same time. Battery: - Talk Time: Up to 36 hours - Standby Time: Up to 600 Hours - Charging Time: Up to 192 Minutes - Corded Charging: USB-C - Battery Type: Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery Connectivity: - Bluetooth® Compliance: Bluetooth® Version 5.1 BlueParrott App: The app that you download is used to update the firmware on the device, and change the blue parrrott button on the headset. You can customize it to an app launching, or your preferred assistant app. Conclusion: If you are always on the phone in very noisy environments, the BlueParrott S650 -XT's are just okay. The phone calls are amazing with blocking everything in the background out. Other that making calls, the headset isn't a pleasure to use. Also, at times while listening to music it will cut out and emit a loud beep/tone. You have to pause your music and play it again in order for it to work. For the price, there are better options that you could potentially purchase with similar features. 2 stars for call quality.

This is a great idea and if you drive a lot and need to use a headset while driving and when not driving, want a regular style headset with 2 earpieces. Then this for you. But why I am giving this a 3 star. First is that, when you do take off the one earpiece, you won't be able to hear what only comes thru that side on the other side. For instance, if you look up test your right and left speakers, you will hear right side sounds, but you won't be able to hear left side sounds come thru. Second, the software does not let you change the equalizer. So, the sound was not the best and not really a way to try to customize them. Lastly for me, they were not too comfortable to wear, they felt a bit small, and the earcups are triangle shaped over round shaped. So, they did not cup around the ear but rested on top of the ears. The few good things, although sound was not great, it was not bad either. The mic was ok and could be heard when used. You can rotate the mic to the other side so you can use on either side, however, the side with mic comes thru as the Right ear so if you place on the other side, sound might sound backwards. Buttons are easy to feel and press. You can customize the top button to a few options. Granted wish it had a couple more options but at least you can change it to what you want. You can also connect to 2 devices. And I like the concept. If you do calls and drive, you can take off one side, and it has already installed a soft foam piece that sits on your head.

Actually awesome! Gone through many,"Bluetooth" headsets, as a truck driver. Plantronics. Blue Tiger. Past Blueparrot products. Have never been impressed with Blueparrot, in the past. The 650 XT is absolutely awesome! Listening to music through the dual ear cups is not a bad experience. Not as good as my Bose Ultras. But they don't suck. This is really a good unit of late. Call quality is second to none. I have stood in front of my engine idling on a tractor and no one can hear the tractor running.

I LOVED these Blue Parrott S650-XT Wireless Headphones! They were comfortable, light weight, and super easy to setup using my Samsung S20 FE phone. I usually don't wear headphones or earbuds since I prefer "room sound" versus "personal sound", but these were quite nice. I will probably use this Blue Parrott product frequently, especially on an airplane or when on a cruise ship when I want my music played at a high volume on the balcony. While the headphones can be used simultaneously while listening to music as well as accepting phone calls, I will never use them for phone calls because it is a personal preference. I really liked the hard-shell zippered case they arrived in with the 2 pockets to carry extra form tip (for the microphone) and the USB cable. The sound quality was amazing .... crystal clear and room noise was non-existent. I would highly recommend these Blue Parrott headphones to anyone that likes to use this technology for personal sound enjoyment. The shipping box they arrived is was very sturdy. It had an outer sleeve and an inner heavy cardboard, 6-sided box with lots of info on the Blue Parrott headphones
