Great product, but there was something odd

The filter pack I bought had a little dirt stuck between it and the transparent cap, went back to exchange it, it seem that the whole batch had the same problem, we checked almost all of the other filters on display and they all had what seems to be dirt and scratched because of that dirt in them. Anyway, managed to clean them.

These are great when...........

The problem I've run into is that I've had more than a few cracked upon opening the box. They are great when they work out of the box but awfully frustrating when you need to change a filter and it's cracked. Totally unusable and it has to be thrown away.
