The premise is the same as the first movie. There are really corny jokes, but they do make you laugh. Plenty of action, the upgrade of weaponry ... yay! The desert eagles are not as believable as the 9's but better effects. It is rated R for a reason, please use discretion when allowing kids to view the dvd. I was unsure about the new addition of Julie Benz to the cast and still am not a fan of Eunice Bloom but Willem Defoe does make an appearance at some point. Good movie, I liked it. But then again I am a fan!

If you loved the first Boondock Saints, you'll definitely love the second movie. I was kind of afraid that the second one wouldn't be as good as the first one, considering that there was so much hype online about the new movie. I was completely blown away. I really enjoyed this movie; and I can honestly say that you really can't watch this movie enough. My only annoyance with the movie, was with the female FBI agent - special agent, my bad. She was kind of annoying, and I think it was just her accent. Other than that, I am very happy with this purchase.

First, I totally agee with 'Boondock47's' comments, but I'll add some of my own. Please come out with a 3rd and make sure both Bob Marley and Rocco need to be in it some how. These movies and extras are funny, emotional, and Troy gets you to like &care about the characters in less than 10 mins.. I was turned on to these movies by my son-in-law. However, I have turned on so many people to the Saints, or as we call them "The Boys", that at least one set of my copies are always out being borrowed.

A great follow up to the original film but lacking the charm of the original film. 10 years was a long time to wait for a sequel but thankfully it was good enough to be a worthy purchase for fans. Definitely give it a shot if you liked the first one. Extras are not great but good enough for the price. Video Quality is great and sound is well done. The actors are the main draw to the film with great over the top characters and even a special surprise cameos for fans of the first film. Now we just need to get them to make the third one already!

Saw this movie in theaters twice and am picking up the Blu-ray today. BDS is just all around a fun movie, you can take it anywhere from just a shoot em up action flick to a intellectually stimulating argument about the human condition and our justice/legal system. BD2 stays on message, adds a few extra characters while keeping all the original cast intact (rare in a sequel made 10 years later). Purists will always argue that the original (of anything) is far better and I would not even compare them personally. This is just a good, fun movie to watch.

You will want to add this to your Elite Collection with The Godfather series, Star Wars Trilogy, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Tombstone, 300, Transformers I-II, Gran Torino, Taken, Law Abiding Citizen, The Hurt Locker, Fight Club, Star Trek, Dark Knight, etc. One of the best movies ever... Vince =-)

finally saw this for under $20 and picked it up. being a fan of the first movie this one was good but i found it hard to make it through the whole thing. maybe that's because i was watching it later in the evening. still worth owning for sure if you're a fan

Excellent movie even if you had never seen the first Boondock saints, you can still enjoy the non-stop action and overall cinematography that is what make the movie great. This is a must buy for any great action movie lover

They boys are back dishing out justice, cracking joking and looking hot in their pea coats! This movie doesn't disappoint from start to end. Memorable one-liners and new characters add to the legacy of the Boondock Saints.

Being a major fan of the first seeing it over 389 times I have seen the sequel in the theatres 22 times and plan on a double feature with friends at home. If you like great actors and fun plot and some great action this is the movie to watch over and over again..

If you already dug the movie than this edition is even better. Disc includes both the theatrical and directors cuts on 2 different discs. Overall I would say this isn't as good as the first but still a fun movie.

This movie, and its predecessor, went to great lengths to portray three individuals who were dedicated to the truth at a fundamental level most of us can only dream about and wish for. Like it or not, they won the quest.

I thought this Boondock Saints was a good movie, but not as great as the original. The standard DVD has less extras than the Blu-Ray, but that's okay.

If you liked the first, you'll like this one. Lots of fun action, with a couple of twists. I enjoyed this - but the first is still my favorite.

As a huge fan of the first film, I was surprised to see just how lackluster and predictable this movie was. Duffy took everything that made the first film excellent and threw it right out of the window. The plot was interesting enough, but unfortunately it was dragged way down by bad acting and writing. At some points it seemed like they were just trying too hard to get a cheap laugh out of the audience, and they threw in completely irrelevant dialogue and scenes. I really wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone, even the die hard fans of the first film (which i've probably watched over 20 times by this point).

such a great movie, the story, the action, and the actors are fantastic! one of the greatest action movies of all time. if you dont have it you need to get it you'll watch it over and over again.

The sequel to the long awaited Boondock Saints. This is similar in action and weaponry. The plot holds up and the action sequences keep you enthralled throughout the film.

This movie caught your attention from the beginning to the end. The action was so good that had to watch both movies ... making it a great movie night.

One of the best sequels since the "Back to the Future" trillogy. I hope there's a third one in the works.

this sequel is pretty solid and the acting is great. The blu-ray delivers too.
