Great Phone, Short Battery Life
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The phone has been great except for the battery life. I have to charge the battery every night. I use the phone about 2 to 3 hours a day.

Great phone for the price.

Disappointed in the performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought it would be great to get an Android phone and understood it might not have all the great performance of other units. However, if you have to remove the battery to make a simple call after being on standby because the unit freezes --that is unacceptable. Screen freezes often -- like almost every time left to go on standby. Screen locks off completely even with that option, if you eliminate the lock features to "none". I had to return the first phone 2 days after purchase. I have a screen lock icon that comes up during phone calls even after I set the unit to require no lock at all. So if you need to use the Dialpad -- not possible so you can't press "2" for whatever option might go with it. And Samsung doesn't even know the reason for this screen icon and it is nowhere in the manual as I learned with a Samsung representative, who too looked through the entire manual to find out that there is no explanation for this happening. You cannot expect to use the phone for an alarm because if it freezes you are screwed. WAIT and save your money unless you enjoy being frustrated. Nice try Samsung/Boost and if you turn your phone off between uses, you'll have no problem. However, if you expect to wait for incoming calls and simply answer when it rings without encountering a frozen screen -- pass on this model. 9 days total for the second unit and it will be going back to the store.Boost Service is great but this model not so great.

Hideous
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned this phone to the store a few days after I got it. For starters, it took me 3 1/2 hours on the phone to get it activated (A big fat zero stars to Boost's customer service dept; it was obvious that English must have been a second or third language to the SEVERAL different reps I spoke with as I kept getting disconnected), and then for some arcane reason I couldn't keep my old phone number - which turned out to be a good thing since I didn't keep the phone anyway. When I finally did get the phone activated I found that the touch screen was horridly inaccurate; I tried all my fingers and even my thumbs for touch screen entry and it almost invariably selected things I didn't even want selected. The lousy phone pad didn't even work right. Phone calls were scratchy and dropped and the internet service was utterly dismal - took minutes to even load Google. After this experience, I checked out an iPhone. Waaaaay too much money, but I didn't have any of the troubles that plagued the Samsung phone, at least in the Apple store anyway. I just don't want to pay that much money a month for an iPhone and be locked into a two-year contract to boot; that's why I was hoping the Samsung phone would work out. Very disappointed. Between the phone ergonomics and the hideous Sprint service it didn't take long for me to realize this phone wasn't for me. Too bad. I would give it ZERO stars if I could. WLB.

Lots of issues, but terrible for texting
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you like texting do not get this phone, its awful, just awful. The screen lock that comes on when you make a call only comes on half the time & you can't talk on phone w/o that lock bc it keeps making a banging sound, so you have to power off to get it to end call. Error notices constantly pop up saying no network service available. Phone powers off approx 15 times a day. Phone doesnt have much memory at all. Just poor design, but hey, looks nice.

Not Worth It
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love all of my Samsung products...Except this one. Screen freezes several times each week and more importantly, if you have to call any automated systems (movie theaters, banks, YOUR voicemail) the touch tone selections made are delayed and come in pairs. This is very frustrating and annoying. Sometimes, without any prompting the phone will just start selecting numbers, which has resulted in my voicemail messages being erased before I have heard them.

Cheap but it works
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I gave up a Motorola Droid X on Verizon. Solely because their monthly rates for everything was to darn high! I switched to this Sprint spinoff, guess I got what I paid for. The Sprint coverage in central Florida is inferior to Verizon, resulting in constant buffering when streaming. As a phone and text it seems to be ok. I did notice the sound is substandard, but I was spoiled by the Motorola droid x. I will be looking to replace this soon!

Looks cool but lacks function
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited that Boost Mobile had an android phone but as soon as I got it the excitement turned into frustration. The phone locks up whenever it wants to. The most annoying feature is the screen locks while you are on a call so you have to unlock it and then hang up. It does not have a proximity detector to avoid this. If I had known this I would have never bought it. Besides that the touch screen works well.

Touchpad freezes
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Touchscreen will frequently freeze. Have to shut phone off and turn back on again to get it to work. Using Pandora app causes this phone to go haywire. Had to remove it. I Heart Radio app seems to work okay with this phone. The first two of these phones I got did not work at all. Had to go back to Best Buy multiple times to get one that did work well enough to keep.

Great features, Bad battery life, Bad coverage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really liked the features available for this phone. The Android system was great but I think that was the problem with the battery life or maybe there is still bugs in this phone. I was getting 3 hours tops with only average use. I did everything possible to increase battery life including proper charging when first purchased and shutting down unnecessary processes but to no avail. Coverage was way below par and spotty. If you want to use this phone off the beaten path then don't bother. If your using GPS while driving be careful because if your lost there is a good chance your phone is too. Heck, it was even unreliable on the beaten path. Please pay special attention to the coverage map when you purchase this phone. I am not a disgruntled customer because I used it enough to find these flaws before my 30 day return was up. I also know two other people who bought this phone who are also unhappy with its performance. Tracfone and Net10 may not have feature rich phones but at least they work when you need them to. Buyer Beware.

I hate this phone...I want my BlackBerry back
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the most cumbersome electronics device I've ever used. Nothing about it is intuitive, and most functions I had on my BlackBerry I do not have on this dumb thing. When I make or answer a call, this phone makes a noise as I hold it up to my ear. I can only describe it as a thumping of sorts. Just about every cell phone call I make is dropped because of some weird function on this thing. The only reason I still have it is I can't afford to replace it just yet with another BlackBerry. Here is some advice for the electronics makers of the world: Not everyone wants to watch TV or movies or videos on their cellphones. Android is not for everyone. I miss my BlackBerry so much because it had all the functionality of a small PC. And for some reason, I cannot load either my work or personal email accounts onto this phone. And for some crazy reason, I needed to create Gmail account to use email at all. What's that about? Awful phone, I can't wait to get rid of it.

Junk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just got this phone and Boost service two weeks ago and thought I was upgrading from my years old, 'one of the first flip phones made' with Cricket. Needless to say, I hate the phone! The touch screen doesn't register your touch over half the time. In order to unlock the key pad, you have to push the power button like when getting your voicemails to access the dial pad, well 99% of the time the power button won’t unlock the key pad it will just shut off the phone or silence it. I've had several people that are used to the touch screen phones check it out to see if I'm just doing something wrong and every one of them has said the same thing..."it's junk"! People complain my voice is garbled. My Brother has Boost too and his Samsung Transform Ultra phone doesn't drop calls like this one does. It's the phone! And if I'm saying it’s a JUNK after the phone and service I had before imagine what the people used to this fancy stuff will think.

Terrible battery life
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought two of these phones for two teenage daughters. They loved the software, but the battery life on both phones would last about 6 hours. Terrible problem for the parents if you are trying to stay in contact. We returned these and bought the ZTE Warp. Solved the issue. Bigger phone faster processor, three times the Battery life.
