Buy a BOSCH even if it costs more or is not on sale...it is so worth it. We have more than one kitchen and this is already the one for the second kitchen...we would never think of buying a different brand. And Best Buy sometimes even has deals on this one; most other stores do not. And with this one, you do not need to buy extended warranty; the product is awesome...has no trouble lasting without problems. More money saved; more happy, quiet dishwashing!

It's amazing to use a more "basic" Bosch dishwasher and have the dishes come out so clean all the time. I purchased one with the black front and it resists fingerprints :-) The control panel is straightforward and I never "accidentallly" push a button leaning against the dishwasher. However, it is slightly smaller than my last one, and it does take some practice figuring out how to best load it with the configurations, but the dishwasher itself works flawlessly.

But the installer had a hard time since the dishwater space was tied. There was no operating instruction manual came with the machine. The installer did not offer to get one for us. Overall we feel good about the dishwasher and hope that it will run well and give us a good service.

In response to your notice of 'rust', this can possibly be a result of loading unlike metals being in contact with each other during the hot water wash/rinse cycle. Items such as cast iron pots/pans or long cooking utensils touching the stainless steel tub, try loading those items toward the middle or away from the sides of the tub. Then run your wash cycle.
