Don't waste your money
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This dishwasher runs for awhile. Its pretty loud too and doesn't get dishes done as well as I'd hope. There is no built in dryer so dishes stay wet until you hand dry them. Gave 2 stars because it looks good.

Latch failed first time using it.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have to keep pushing the door in to finish cycle, only used it three times since installed in early August. It has been to much trouble to stand their and keep watching for the timer light to start blinking, this is your tip off that the dishwasher has stalled. Called Bosh and they sent me to an authorized dealer and as soon as I mentioned my problem they new what I needed. They are coming today to fix it, other wise I have been happy with the loading and lack of noise from this unit. I'm glad it failed now than when the warranty expires, the price was great maybe because they new this model had a latch problem.

Great Dishwasher if you Maintain it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only, and I mean ONLY drawback to this dishwasher is the thing that makes it so quiet - it doesn't have the food grinder that most dishwashers have to get rid of food debris. In place of that, there's a well in the basin that collects that debris. If you don't clean it out about once a week, the stuff starts to compost in the machine and it can smell. It's easy to take the parts out and rinse them in the sink and that will keep the unit running well and smelling sweet. It's by far the quietest dishwasher I've ever heard, by far, and it does an excellent job of cleaning, too.

Excellent cleaning, Amazingly quiet, Water Saver!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Interior bottom of tub is plastic, but that's no problem; it actually helps eliminate machine noise. Our kitchen and family room are adjoining with no divider wall, making the ultra quiet operation of this dishwasher a welcome blessing when watching TV, listening to music, or napping on the sofa in the family room. The sound of the water going down the drain is the loudest part of the cycle. When dishes are loaded right after a meal (before food can dry on) I can run the Express Wash cycle, and 30 min. later, the dishes are perfectly clean. If hosting a lot of guests, I have to run two or more loads since the tub is not huge, but that's not a problem for me. Owner's manual could do a better job explaining how to disassemble the filter for cleaning (a gentle tug unsnaps the screen cartridge from the center tube) and keeping it clean is critical to avoid early cycle shut down and display of undocumented error codes (look them up on the internet.) Be sure dishes are free of large food pieces and especially "leafy" things like lettuce before putting them in the dishwasher and the filter stays clear longer. At cycle end, dishes are very hot and somewhat wet - leave the door closed for a couple of hours after cycle end and dishes will be cool and dry. No exposed heating coil in the bottom of the tub means no melted plasticware or storage containers if they should fall out of the utensil tray or dish rack. (Hooray!) It's a really good machine.

Installation Ruined the experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, let me say that I love this dishwasher. Although it is not their most quiet model, it is whisper quiet and does an awesome job of cleaning the dishes. The last cycle on this machine is "Half Load", whereas a very similar model selling for the same price at a very well know home improvement store carries this model with a last cycle (far right position on panel) of "Rinse and Hold". "Rinse and Hold" might be better for a family, while "Half Load" might be better for a single person or a couple. The reason I did not give a better rating is the installation. After paying BEST BUY for the cord and hose kit, the installer charged me $60 for a hose with a different size connection at the supply valve. He said my hookup was "non-standard" and then set me up for the sting by telling me I might not get my dishwasher installed, and of course my old one was already out the door. When I saw the supply hose I was paying $60 for I knew I had been set up. I did not even need the cord from the set, which they kept. BUYER BEWARE of installation.

Very quiet. Cleans well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this dw because our kitchen is open to our living room. Our old dw was a ge and it was ever noisy. This bosch is excellent. Very quiet, cleans well and looks good. Pretty low price as well. It does not have a drying cycle which is why I didn't give it 5 stars, but if you use the jet dry additive, most dishes get dry enough.

Posted .Hi JamesT, thanks for your review of model SHE3AR72UC. We're sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with the drying results. Your dishwasher is designed to dry using the PureDry® condensation drying system. This is an energy-efficient, closed drying system that does not pull in outside air or use an exposed heating element. The PureDry® condensation process works by heating the dishes with hot water during the final rinse. The cooler stainless steel pulls moisture from the dishes. The inside of the unit will be wet at the end of the cycle, but the dishes will be dry. It is important to note that plastics don’t absorb heat like cutlery or china and don’t dry as well. The Use & Care manual provides instructions to turn on the Intensive Drying feature on page 29 and troubleshooting tips for unsatisfactory drying results on page 37. If these suggestions don't resolve the issue, please contact our Customer Care team at 800-944-2904 so we can determine if service is necessary. Thank you for choosing Bosch.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am disappointed in the dishwasher I bought. Hate this dishwasher
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hate this dishwasher. The interior setup is not user friendly. The tines are at an angle that many dishes will not fit. As such, not many dishes will fit, so I am doing more loads than I used to. Hate hate hate this dishwasher. I can’t justify buying another one or just wasted $800 plus dollars.

Absolute garbage dishwasher
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ll never buy from Bosch again. Truly garbage, thinking about replacing after owning for 2 years. My dishes always look dirty and have to rewash dishes 3-4x just to get it clean enough to eat off of. It doesn’t release the detergent like it should and so I have to throw it in the tub and in the compartment for it. I’m lucky I don’t pay for water because this is a nightmare.

Very good for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this dishwasher over President's Day Wknd and took advantage of the sale price. For the money, it is excellent. Cleans dishes very well if you use the Finish packets with Rinse Aid. We haven't been rinsing unless the dishes are very dirty. Have checked the filter twice and haven't needed to empty/clean it yet. My only issue is that the bottom of the interior of the dishwasher is not stainless steel --- only the sides and door of the tub are, which I think is a bit of a design flaw. It fits our plates and dinnerware fine, but does not have sufficient room or clearance for big pots or pans. We just wash those by hand. It is fairly quiet, but not what I'd call "ultra-quiet." You can still hear some activity when it is running, but it's certainly not at all loud. Overall, I'd recommend it for the price.

Outstanding
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unbelievably quite and has all the features anyone needs. Sounds like a small brook running through the back yard. Cleans very well using less soap, water & energy. First checked Consumers Report and this was #1. Sales rep at BB was super. Bought it on Sun., BB delivered and installed on Wed "free" and no sales tax since it is an installed appliance. You will need a $30 installation kit no matter where you buy. Saved $70 + extra costs over Sears and Lowes. Veeery pleased with the whole transaction. Thanks BB!

Pleased after a year of use...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm still very happy with our purchase after a year of use. Like others who've reviewed this dishwasher I'm not thoroughly happy with the design of the lower basket...we use a mix of bowls and plates for most meals and the bowls just don't fit in very easily. That said, the machine does an excellent job of cleaning, is quiet enough to talk over and has had no maintenance issues. As a side note: I just "discovered" the Express Wash...it's my new go to washing mode. The results of this 30-minute wash have been, in my opinion, indistinguishable from a Normal Wash. Your mileage may vary, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

The best dishwasher I have ever used
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Bosch dishwasher is the best, its super quiet and the dishes come out spotless with very little detergent. The amount of dishes we can put in is great. The delay start is one of the best the range is 1 hour to 24 hours.

Great Dishwasher - Customer Service not so much
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ordered online - assumed delivery and installation based on previous experience. Apparently this has changed. Geek Squad was going to charge $140 for installation. (Mind you - I probably would've been aware of this if I had actually purchased this in a store instead of online - but NOTHING was indicated to me during the online ordering process - so I do take some responsibility here for my dissatisfaction) Best Buy could afford to resolve this in my favor if they wanted to. They could make $140 faster than I can. But they chose not to use this online misunderstanding/miscommunication as an opportunity to ensure my satisfaction. I'm taking my business elsewhere.

Decent quality, bit pricey, but seems worth it.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We installed this model in another home (since sold) around 2015 and it lasted 7+ years. Hopefully this one will last just as long. Overall it's quiet yet does an excellent job for being an entry level Bosch. The one big downside is that the water inlet hose needs to be purchased separately and it's best to get the actual Bosch branded hose as 3rd party fittings don't quiet fit right (as we experienced - "Universal Kits" will prove to be a disappointment). Aside from that issue, zero complaints thus far.

Best dishwasher ever!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best performing dishwasher I've ever owned. Dishes come out spotless. Yes, the dishwasher takes some getting used to as far as loading it, but I've found that you can even just place things in the dishwasher where you can fit it in, not necessarily where the prongs are, and the dishes come out spotless. I have had this dishwasher for a year and never have to rewash a dish/glass. I do more loads because the dishwasher is small for our family, but that's no big deal to me because the performance is well worth it.

Door is a problem
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this dishwasher just over a year ago, long enough for the warranty to run out. After being pleased as punch with the unit, suddenly the door won't stay completely closed during operation. I saw this coming from the beginning as I never thought the latch was very secure. But as with most things in my life, I couldn't find my purchase info until today - 22 days after the one-year warranty period. Until I know that there is an easy and inexpensive fix for this, I can't recommend this dishwasher. I've contacted Bosch, but it's a holiday weekend and it will be several days until I'll get any feedback. I don't anticipate any help.
