    Bosch SHE3AR75UC Dish Washer

I ordered from Best Buy and it was delivered quickly a few days later. For a very reasonable price they took my 4 year old Maytag dishwasher away. It had many electronic and touch pad breakdowns. I installed the this Bosch. This Bosch was packaged nice and had zero damage. The front stainless door has a nice protective plastic cover on it, I just left it on after installation, looks good and no finger prints from the kid. Install was easy. I removed and kept the cord from my old dishwasher. These new washers DO NOT come with a cord, so keep your old one and save $30 dollars. This washer DID come with a new drain hose, so DONT buy one of those. I also reused my old water fill flex line and if you already have a dishwasher you most likely will NOT need to buy one either. After install I ran it on quick wash with NO soap to check for leaks. It still cleaned some really caked on scummy dishes with NO soap, they did dry as well, despite it not having a drying element. As far as Noise, it's not silent, you can easily hear it, despite the 1.5 inch of insulation on it, but it wasn't bad. When my mytag was new it was actually quieter, but that one did NOT last and had a lot of problems. My dad has the Bosch 5 series ($900 plus) I think and its super quiet more then this one, but this one did clean my soiled dishes very well. The adjustable top rack is nice too. I'd recommend keeping your smaller utensil holder in case you want to interchange it with the new bosch one. The utensil holder with this washer is huge, and the smaller one would allow for more dishes when you need it, so I kept them. My maytag had 2 small baskets. So I kept one. I did get the 3 year warranty because I am still not convinced dishwashers are made to last. But judging by the look this unit seems pretty good quality for under $600.

I bought this thing after the cheapest whirlpool I could find crapped out on me. This thing doesn't dry at all, and the racks have such a weird diagonal orientation that you can't put anything that isn't a small round plate comfortably in the racks.

    Different But Good

We were forced to purchase this dishwasher after our old machine went belly up. Frankly, it wasn't our 1st choice, but it was one of the few machines that were in stock at pretty much any appliance store we visited in our area. So that was that. We have had it for a few months now and so far it has been working well. I was a bit skeptical about the condensation drying vs. having a heating element, but so far our dishes come out as dry as they did when we were using our old machine (when it worked). Sometimes there is a bit of water left over on inside the machine which took a little getting used to, but so far it has not created any issues as a result. It's something I am keeping my eyes on. One thing I will say is that it is very quiet, and you can hardly hear it when it's on, which wasn't necessarily something I was concerned about, but it is nice I guess. Noise doesn't bother me so much anyway. The machine did come with the power cord, which is a proprietary cord for Bosch machines. I wasn't 100% sure whether it would or not based on reviews that I read. My old machine was plugged into an outlet and not hardwired, so that was a nice thing to have. If you currently have a hardwired machine, you will need the plug that has the junction box. So for the time being all is good with the world and I do not have to do any more dishes by hand. Yay!

    Nice with minor issue

This dishwasher was a replacement to an older Bosch one that quit working on us weeks prior. Fortunately I had purchased the Best Buy extended warranty on the Bosch and when it quit there was only 2 weeks left on the warrant so we got very lucky there. The Best Buy crew were professional and polite on the deliver and installation (which Best Buy gave to us for no charge). They arrived on time and were gone within 30 minutes with no issues. This dishwasher is quieter than the Bosch but doesn't dry the dishes as well. We have used different cleaning pods but all have the same results. This isn't a big issue as long was we remember to dry off the tops of items before removing as to avoid water on the floor. Was surprised that a function on this dishwasher is that the door automatically pops open near the end of the drying phase. I thought something had broke when I walked out the first time we used it and saw steam coming out of the open door. Another minor point for this dishwasher is that you need to hold your finger on the power button for a couple of seconds before it will power on. I'm assuming this is a safety issue to avoid and inadvertent start. I would recommend this dishwasher for anyone needing a new one or looking to upgrade their current one.

    Didn't Last 2 Years!

BOSCH=Poor Quality + No Customer Service I loved my Bosch dishwasher for 22 months. It was unbelievably quiet and got dishes and glasses sparkling clean. Then it broke. Water was no longer entering the machine. My husband tested the voltage and found it was getting a current. We called customer service to make sure that it was the water intake valve, but the representative refused to give out any information. Instead of ordering a $35 part, he wanted to send out a service person for almost the cost of a new dishwasher. We ordered a new water intake valve from Bosch and had it delivered “overnight” for another $25. It arrived four days later, dirty, worn, and obviously used. Needless to say, it didn’t work. I called customer service and they promised to send another water intake valve “overnight”. It took five days. This one was new and worked. Letters to Bosch regarding this problem have gone unanswered. Major appliances should last longer than 22 months. In the meantime, I spent over a week doing dishes by hand like a pioneer. I will not buy another Bosch product again.

I bought this dishwasher at Best Buy in Henderson,Great for the price it does the job , I had two other Bosch dishwashers in my other two houses that i owned and paid almost 2K but they where supper great , But i gave this one a chance since we are not sure that we might sell the house , But the machine does the job , One thing it doesn't shut off automatic you have to shut it off when it finishes . But what do you expect for under $500.00?

I was sad to let go of my old dishwasher so I am slow to warm up to the new one. It is significantly quieter, but I miss knowing where it is in the cycle (our old one had an add-a-dish feature and I knew when it was drying so I could stop it and air dry instead). It gets the dishes clean, which is the most important thing.

Dishes don't fit well or come out clean

We are so completely disappointed with this dishwasher. Every load we have to clean food off at least a few plates or bowls post-wash, particularly on the bottom rack. Never thought about scrapping an appliance after only a year because we're so frustrated. What a joke that their customer service could only respond that we should put the dishes in with more food remnants on them so there is something for water to grab. Surprise, surprise--they came out even dirtier! So we have to pre-clean them way more than we ever had to do with our 20 year old Kenmore before it died. The primary problem is that many of the tongs are so close together, the water can't get in to do its job. And the silverware container is way too big so that you can't use a whole section of the bottom rack. We have large dinner plates and deep cereal bowls so perhaps if you have standard size everything, it will work for you. Plastic storage containers don't fit well on top or bottom. And need to use the long regular cycle, as going with a shorter cycle obviously isn't going to get them any cleaner. Talk about an unnecessary feature! The positives are that it is indeed very quiet as advertised, silverware is cleaned well, top rack is better than bottom, and dishes do come out dry (plastics mostly dry). Price seamed quite reasonable (assuming it actually cleaned), especially since we bought it during a free installation perk Bosch was offering last January/February. Will never buy a Bosch again!

Wish we had purchased a better DW

We have have been using this diswasher for three months and are still annoyed by several features, or lack there off. It is difficult to load and capacity is smaller than our previous DW. There are only two us the house now so we are getting by with it, but I would not recommend this machine for a family. Fitting in a variety of plates, bowls, and storage containers on the lower rack is a challenge every time. Also, although it may seem trivial to read, the door spring is too strong. It takes too much effort to open the door! Need to plant your feet firmly on the floor, lean towards the machine, grab the handle firmly, and lean back will pulling swiftly. Really. We middle-aged and physically fit gym members, weight lifters, runners, cyclists, kayakers, hikers, etc., but still annoyed by that door. We thought the spring would loosen-up with use, but so far it has not. When the cleaning and drying cycles are done and the dishes are clean and dry, the machine does not automatically turn off (not even when opening the door like most machines). You have to physically press the on/off button. Again, seems trivial, but it becomes annoying. Bottom line: The machine cleans and operates great, and it is a great value at $450, but I wish we had spent an additional $200+ to get a different dishwasher. I went low budget because we plan to sell the house in about two years. Nevertheless, if I were not suddenly unemployed during this pandemic I would sell this machine on craigslist and buy a different dishwasher. Probably the same brand, because of the quality and durability. On a positive note, every load has been cleaned very well and the operating noise is very quiet. We quickly rinse the dishes before loading them, and then only run the machine when it's full - about every other day. Also, we believe the dishes dry well even though the DW does not have a heating element. Yes, some water remains on top of cups, etc. an on the tub walls but it evaporates quickly with the door partly open. Not a big deal.

Avoid-Not worthy of the Bosch name

    Posted .

I replaced my previous GE only because it was noisy. I figured on upgrading to Bosch. Had one before and the GE came with the house so why not? First, it was soooo quiet that I wasn't even certain it was on. Opened it and saw it was warm (not hot) and very wet. Yes, it was that quiet. 5 stars. Second, build quality. Solid metal tub, tight high quality seals and gap fillers; however, controls were unimpressive, limited functionality, and can't easily reset settings once started. Most cases you can't. Also wheels on racks started popping off. I am missing two now. Very annoying. Some tines on racks are too tight for my dishes. Are you good at tetris? 3.5 Stars Third, it cleaned very well...at first. I used the supplied sample of Finish along with my usual assortment of detergents. The filter rarely needs to cleaned as I usually do a good pre-rinse by hand (I am a bit old school). Bought some more Finish and boy is that expensive over time. When I stopped using the Finish my dishes had a nasty soapy residue regardless of detergent I used. Just gross. This is more a testament of Finish then how well this washer cleans. Buy a year's worth of Finish and they should throw in the washer for free. It would be a more honest selling point. 2 Stars. Lastly, drying: It doesn't. My old, came-with-house, bottom-line GE dried great, actually for what it was it did everything great. It never pretended to be something special but like a moped: not elegant but will get you there. I tried sanitize, I tried praying to assorted Gods, I tried bribing wife to do dishes, I had tantrums, and finally just did dishes by hand, dried them and used the Bosch as an expensive storage cabinet. 0 Stars It is cheaper and faster to hand wash. Wanna buy mine?

we had an LG that was awful. fixed over 4 times with the PSP and they replace it. Wanted to try the Bosch. What a great machine. It is so quiet you cannot tell it is on. Dishes are spotless and fairly dry to say that you do not waste energy with a heating element.

This washer looks sleek and simple and blends with my kitchen. Not stands out as an appliance full of buttons, just a simple black panel. I wanted to test the Bosch , I'd never had one but my friends in Europe do and I thought Bosch was only power tools. I wanted to see what it could do so with a full load already in there I wrangled in a 6 jumbo cups muffin pan. Baked on streusel and stuff all over it and I didn't remove so much as a crumb. Everything in the washer came out sparkling and clean as a whistle! I used regular store brand detergent too. I'm impressed ! Oh, it's quiet as a mouse.

Surprisingly quiet operation. Did not use heated drying with our prior Whirlpool and the dishes were often sort of wet. On both the normal and express cycles, the dishes come out substantially dryer than they did with the Whirlpool. Only things I don't like: the bottom rack seems to run off the tracks pretty easily when you pull it out and the bottom rack is not designed to accommodate bowls. Overall though seems to be pretty good so far.

    Solid entry-level Bosch dishwasher

Have had this Bosch dishwasher for a year now, and overall pleased with it. Does a good job cleaning; I grew up rinsing dishes before placing them in the machine, so this is what I continue to do. Door is sealed VERY well - so well that after maybe five days of not running the machine a moldy smell starts and mold even sometimes forms on dirty dishes! This is my fault, as I only run the dishwasher once every 7-10 days; running it once a week OR using the rinse-and-hold feature between longer-spaced runs solves the issue. Utensils sometimes don't come completely clean, and my thicker dishes can be tricky to fit in the racks. Fairly quiet, although the reviewers who say they can't hear it at all are nuts. :D Find that Method and Cascade tabs work as well as the recommended Finish ones. I'm being kinda nitpicky; overall this dishwasher is a winner.

    Cleanest dishes ever....

Wasn't planning to replace my dishwasher, but then life happens. After researching and finding this as a recommended buy by CR, I was still leery because many people posted about the lack of heat drying. I took the plunge and couldn't be happier. I have never seen my dishes look so clean. If you chose to sanitize your dishes which is recommended, they end up pretty darn dry, especially if you crack the door for a couple of minutes! I also love the fact that it will tell you when the rinse aid needs refilling. Always had to guess on my last one. The inside is stainless steel which helps keep it sanitary and it is well designed leaving less areas where food/bacteria can go, lurk, and grow. Speaking of the inside, I also like the fact that the silverware rack is on the side, leaves more room for awkward items and it has its own attached covering for those small items that like to fly away or for sorting out your silverware so that it doesn't nest on each other. The top and bottom racks have folding tines that also allow for extra room. Another great feature is the sound or lack of it. We had to keep running back to make sure it started. The only thing I can say bad about it and it is so minor is that the digital display stays on after it finishes. So, if you go to bed and run the dishwasher, expect the light to be on when you get up. I wish it would cut off automatically, but it is a minor inconvenience compared to the overall benefits I receive. If you can't tell by now, I love my dishwasher, hope you will too!

Did a lot of online research (Consumer Reports, online store websites) before replacing a 20-year old dishwasher in a NYC apartment. This Bosch looks great, hardly makes a sound, is easy to use, does a great job, and is a terrific value for the price. Couldn't be happier. Really wanted to compare all options in a store before buying and Best Buy was perfect for this. The Best Buy sales rep was extremely helpful, candid, and made sure I knew about their special pricing and delivery/installation offers which made them a better option - both in price and service - than a pure online retailer. Newer dishwashers have longer cleaning cycles but there's an express wash option that works well, and I specifically chose a model that displays the remaining cycle time so I know what to expect. Chose the model in white to go with my older white cabinets and the appliance makes my small kitchen look like new. Delighted with this purchase and Best Buy's support.
