Picked for reputation of brand and quietness of operation. Have not been disappointed. It cleans well. It's so quiet you can't tell it's running. For a top brand, the Bosch delivers. The installer used in our area was also top notch.

If you follow the directions, this unit is very easy to program to ensure you have thoroughly clean dishes which are streak and spot free and are dry when you remove them from the dishwasher. It's also extremely quiet. Great product!

No expert in dish-washers. So requirements were based on day-to-day use. Quiet, fit in interior well and clean. Quiet: it is more quiet than my refrigerator. You can hear it, but it is a soft sound of water, almost like a little fountain. More than quiet enough for my use. Clean: so far has cleaned everything very well. We do not rinse plates nor pots and pans. Even oven dishes come out clean, as well as rice cooker pan!!! fit in interior: As it does not stick out, and has a brushed aluminum look, it fits in well. We have noticed that we can load a lot more stuff in this dishwasher than our old one. Had to get used to the rack layout, but it is efficient and more flexible than what we had. Also, having the silverware basket on the side helps with space in the middle. For my use, I do not care about the full stainless tub. No iron issues in my water. So far have used only one program: auto wash. So all the other options on there...... don't really care. Install was great. BestBuy had an offer for only twenty. Went smooth. Happy user, would buy again.

This unit is so quiet, huge improvement over our last dishwasher. I had to immediately check the dishes after the first load was complete because I simply couldn't believe that anything that quiet could really be cleaning the dishes. We just had it installed this week, but so far I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

We have owned this Bosch dishwasher for 7 years now (purchased in late summer/early fall of 2010) and it still works and looks like new. We have never had one single problem with it in all of the years we've had it. Our dishes always come out sparkling clean with absolutely no residue (we've always used Cascade Platinum Actionpacs and Finish rinse aid). This dishwasher is definitely a workhorse and can handle even the largest of loads without issue. We love how quiet it is (you literally can't even tell that it's running) and we also love the fact that it has its own built in hot water heater so that it doesn't utilize our furnace for hot water. We highly recommend this dishwasher!!! When the time comes to finally replace it, which I doubt will be any time soon, we will absolutely purchase another Bosch!

This is my 2nd one. The first one just died. BB brought out a new one. So far so good. The dishwasher is very quite. The only complaint is the way the racks are set up and the bottom one rolls out a little wobbly and clunky.

During first use, the machine stopped 30 minutes into the cycle and the door latch disengaged. Door would no longer latch. Called Bosch Factory service (extremely punctual, great customer service). The tech thought he would just pop the latch back as others describe in reviews, but that did not work. He ended up replacing latch on top of the machine. It worked during his 5 minute test cycle. I went on an extended trip. Got back, opened it, closed it, latch popped back and machine will not latch again - exact same problem. Used screw driver to pull latch forwarded as Bosch tech had shown me, closed door, latch pops back again. I'm working on returning it to BestBuy... the 30 minutes it worked, it was super quiet and looks great, but this latch design should have never made it into production.

We were not impressed. We ended up returning and getting a LG Model: LDS4821ST | SKU: 8837896 which we are very happy with. We can really pack it full, dishes are always clean and it is as just as quiet or more than the Bosch it replaced. It has been a GREAT replacement and a great value for our money. Do not miss our old dishwasher. We had bought this to replace an expensive Bosch dishwasher that died only after 7 years...we were hesitant to get another but gave it another try since we were happy with the performance of our old dishwasher. We did not repair since the costs would have been close to purchasing a new dishwasher. Bosch changed the racks inside their dishwashers so we now got a third less of our Fiesta dishes loaded then with our previous dishwasher...not meant for pottery dishes like Fiesta. Also the tub bottom was plastic and not stainless.

Very happy. It's extremely quiet and easy to use.

Dish racks are very poorly designed and will not hold a lot of different size dishes. Glass rack only has two sides that will hold average sized glasses, the other 3 are either too big or too small. Bottom dish rack falls off rails constantly, resulting in you having to lift the rack and replace it on the rails. Other than that cleans well and is quiet but would not buy again.

At the time of my purchase this was the best priced machine with adjustable shelves. It is very quiet - love it. Washes well. Negatives - it is much smaller than standard models (GE etc), so each load is a puzzle play even for our family of 3. Someone already mentioned already that the filter (consisting of about 3 parts) needs to be disassembled and washed frequently. However I was told that this is due to our well water lower water pressure. My friend has this machine on city water and has no issues with the filter. It's not a pleasure to clean it - the parts have a lot of hard to reach spots, and the mesh is really tint so stuff wants to hold on to that. The drying works fine for me , but it's disappointing that I can not add that to the "rinse and hold" option. If I run that cycle, the dishes are all totally wet.

I bought this dishwasher after doing a fair amount of research. About two weeks after buying it, it started getting e-24 errors which is a drain error. A Bosch technician came out and replaced the drain motor. Two days later the same error came up. Over the next 6 months technicians came out half a dozen more times and tried a number of things, finally they replaced the wash motor which ended the error codes however after five days it stopped washing dishes entirely, it would run through the cycles and nothing would happen. When it worked it was quiet and effective or at least i think it was as it only worked 10% of the time I have had it and have to think hard to remember when it did work. I think I probably just got a bad unit. But to have several different issues back to back with the same dishwasher is very frustrating.

Excellent performance but very quiet. Gets dishes clean and dry.

So far so good. Love this dishwasher. Looks great, cleans great. Can't hear it run. Sometimes hear a little water sloshing but is whisper quiet. If anything changes I'll update my review but I love it so far!! Home run Bosch!

High quality product that is easy to operate. Very quiet. Dishes will dry well if you use the sanitize and auto wash function as recommended. Use less water and detergent but longer cycle than average dishmachine.

I love this dishwasher, despite the long cycle time. It is so quiet that you can't tell if it is running unless you look at the display.

Used to have a GE dishwasher model that fell apart over the last 5 years. It was loud and took hours to do a normal wash and the dishes wouldn't even come out clean. Our new Bosch Ascenta will clean lightly soiled dishes really well in 30 minutes and a normal wash with more heavily soiled dishes really well in 90 minutes. Our GE dishwasher was so loud you couldn't hear the TV or felt like you were shouting when having a conversation. The Bosch Ascenta is very quiet you almost don't even notice it is running.

Picked up this Bosch Model when they had the free installation deal going. Very nice upgrade from our last unit and it's unreal how quiet this thing is. Does a great job cleaning everything we load in it. Recommended!
