We bought this dishwasher to replace an old, barely-functioning dishwasher in a house we had just moved into, and we selected it because we had purchased an earlier version of the same model several years earlier for our old house--a machine that worked well and that we had no problems with at all. We loved the first Bosch we purchased, but this one has had problems from the get-go. The original machine Best Buy brought to install was DOA and wouldn't turn on at all. Best Buy replaced it, and while the replacement worked reasonably well, it died almost exactly one year to the day after it was installed. We went through Bosch for repairs, and while their customer service has been excellent and we have not had to pay a dime for any of the repairs, it has been "fixed" at least four times in the last four months. Each time the Bosch-approved tech fixes it, it stops working after only one or two runs, and it can take weeks to get replacement parts from Bosch. By this point, it probably would have been less expensive for Bosch to just replace the machine instead of fixing it over and over again. If it isn't working by the end of this month, we will probably bite the bullet and buy a different (NOT Bosch) dishwasher to replace it.

I have to say that this is the absolute worse dishwasher that I have ever seen. My wife is totally beside herself in regard to its total lack of quality. We've had this thing for about a year now. Going on our fifth service call to have multiple parts replaced. Can not get any satisfaction from the manufacture (Bosch). It would take pages of details to tell you how poor of a machine this model has been. We've had to have just about every component replaced that is inside of it....including the inside door which is supposed to be stainless steel....guess what? It's not.. thing is actually rusting. I STRONGLY recommend that you DO NOT buy a Bosch product in their dishwasher line.

After less than two years of owning the dishwasher, it will no longer lock. It still runs, but I have to hold the door shut for it to complete the cycle so it's easier to wash by hand.

Seems ok, but the inside basket is much smaller than my previous one. Disappointing to say the least. Check out in person before you buy anything

Had the unit for 6 months. Bought the extended "in home" service. It turns out, it just isn't going to get any better. I use the recommended brand of detergent -- even using twice the detergent w/ heavy wash cycle even on light loads of 3/4 plates & a few glasses or bowls on the top rac, top rack items are always covered in crud. I clean the filter after every load -- which usually has nothing because all the crud is on the top rack of dishes. There is no heated drying. There is no food disposer. Buy a different brand. Don't wate your money on the upgraded inhome extended service plan. THe serviceman will just tell you it's a poor model & he can't fix the problem.

I had this dishwasher only two days and the interior door had multiple spots on it that would not come off. I only used brand grade dishwasher detergent and rinse aid as specified and nothing else went in the dishwasher that was not food or dishes. When I contacted the company, Bosch suggested cleaning products that did not work. I know it is only the inside but when I pay this much for a dishwasher I expect it to not discolor. I also expected more from a Bosch product. Plus the reason it uses less water is because the interior is very small. I end up using more water because I have to run it more.

Purchased this dishwasher in Sept. 2012 & it only lasted 2 months. We went round & round with Bosch before they finally agreed to replace it. The replacement was installed & did NOT work at all. I have been without a dishwasher since the end of November. Bosch has finally agreed to give as a full refund. I will never purchase a Bosch product again.

I am so disappointed that I spend the extra money to buy a quality brand and a good product. That did not happen. It doesn't clean the dishes completely, or the silverware. I have to hand wash all the steak knifes and some of the dishes afrer a two hour cycle. It's seems to be no better than the broken machine I had removed and replaced with this over priced, over reviewed appliance. Bosch used to be the name representing quality, but I didn't find that in this purchase.

What the point to use dishwasher and then you have to dry the dishes??? I have to return the unit & buy difference brand which has heat unit. It's good thing that Best Buy allow me to exchange difference unit. I wouldn't buy anything from Bosch from now on. I'm quite sure why others give it a 5.

It washes and is quiet. But it uses a "Condensation Drying" system. That means no heating element in the bottom to dry the dishes=does not dry the dishes. If you like to bring a towel to the dishwasher when it is time to unload it; If you like to dump the silverware on a towel so they will dry, if you are willing to let the thing set for 24 hours to half dry--then this is for you. If you want your dishes to dry BEFORE you unload them, don't buy any EUROPEAN dishwasher--they don't have heating elements!

This thing replaced a 12 year old builder stock unit. I could through pretty much anything it it and it would get clean... now it was loud but at least things got clean. This unit has to be quiet because I'm running it 2 times a day just to get loads cleaned. Bought based on brand reputation and when it is worse than 12 yr old unit it has serious problems. Also it says 14 place settings. This thing doesn't hold near as much. It doesn't hold bowls very well at all either.

First product review ever. I purchased this machine, having never owned Bosch, after reading a Consumer Reports review that it was a great dishwasher in its category. We were immediately disappointed when it kept showing an intermittent draining error code and was not getting dishes clean. I spoke to Bosch customer service and had a technician out three (3) times before he found a small part lodged in the drainage hose. That solved the error code problem, however the dishwasher still cannot get dishes clean. Anything that goes in with food or debris on it comes out with it still on, only now it's baked on. Glasses have small black particulates in clumps and on many things you can still feel dried on residue all over the surface. It cannot clean coffee stains from the inside or outside of mugs or peanut butter or jam from knives. The technician told us to use a specific detergent and load in a precise manner, yet the problems persist. I will be replacing this unit soon, once we save up the money, and will never buy a Bosch product again. So disappointed.

So far so good. This is my first experience with Bosch

The door is very hard to open and it is heavy. The door has to be yanked several times to open. It does not stay open past twenty degrees. My dishwasher was defective. Requested Best Buy to replace and they were going to make me pay install twice because I used my plumber. I asked Best Buy to install it but you have to wait so long for them to give you an install date. I am never buying at Best Buy again. Watch out if you buy a defective item.

I bought this dishwasher after getting an in store refund for my Samsung dishwasher (Samsung refunded me after my 4mo old dishwasher would make a high pitch squealing noise (and didn’t clean)). This dishwasher cleans great! Even baked on food. I don’t love the organization of the bottom rack and silverware holder. It also has old school buttons on the front rather than the flat or hidden buttons. But price and cleaning was most important to me.

We are not a fan of this brand dishwasher. Trays are set up weird and if you fill it more than half way, the dishes do not come clean.

Was up-sold to the Bosch because they are supposed to be more reliable, better quality. 3 yrs later I am faced with a repair bill that is close to the price of a new unit, I just bought another brand and off to the recycling center my $450 dishwasher goes. VERY DISAPPOINTED Bosch. Stand behind your product or give it a decent warranty.
