My 7 year old GE dishwasher died unexpectedly, and rather than having it repaired (which probably would have run at least $300 and probably more), we decided to check Consumer Reports and just get a new one. We absolutely love this machine! All the dishes get VERY clean (better than the previous one). It also allows for taller glasses to be placed in the top rack. We've had this a month now and are very pleased. By the way, I read that a number of folks complained that this dishwasher beeped continuously when finished, until you turn it off. I have found it beeps four times (as you would expect), then if you don't turn it off it will beep again a few minutes later. After that it stops beeping which is fine. I highly recommend this product.

Consumer Reports rated this dishwasher as an excellent buy and it's fully deserved. Not only is it barely audible when running, I got it for an excellent price compared against other big box stores.

Pro's:Top Rated, Very Quiet, Nice Appearance, Hidden Control Panel, Height Adjustable Top Shelf, Side Utensil Tray, Short overall running time Con's: Continually beeps when final cycle is done, not all tines are adjustable, no visible light for end of final cycle I use many sources for choosing the brand of dishwasher. Bosch was the highest rated and had the least consumer complaints and lowest warranty claims. Then it was choosing the options, while keeping budget in mind, and always referencing the many sources for ratings of the specific models. The model purchased was rated #3, which was a big factor in my decision making.

I live this dish washer, I can’t hear it run at all. I had to put my ear to it to make sure it was running. It cleaned my dishes perfectly without rinsing them off.

Purchased this model after 9yr old Bosch broke down. Thought this model had the same features but it is lacking the Rinse & Hold cycle which we used a lot. Beeper will drive you crazy until you figure out how to turn it off! Very, very quiet when operating. Difficult to tell when it is on. Overall, good value.

Extremely quiet. Does a great job. If you don't follow Bosch's recommendations and use a drying agent (Jet Dri) and use the drying setting - the dishes will be wet after a cycle. Following the instructions the dishes come out perfect every time.

Have had the dishwasher about two weeks and so far it's been working fine. The appearance is nice with good quality stainless steel. It washes dishes and flatware well, as expected. Although it originally appeared to me that the dishwasher would not hold as much as the Kenmore it replaced, it actually does, in a different configuration. My main complaint is the lack of a separate quick rinse cycle. My old Kenmore had a 4 minute quick rinse which we used all the time, waiting until we had a full load before washing. Also, you had better keep your manual handy as some processes would be impossible to find without it. E.g., heated drying on or off, beeper at end of cycle on or off, etc.

Good capacity and good features. Love the clean and simple profile of the outside of the dishwasher. Simple button design and multiple wash settings work well. Runs quietly and is very effective at cleaning with minimal to no pre rinsing of dishes. Only downside is when cycle is complete, dishwasher continues to beep signal every minute or so indefinitely.

Since I hate installing dishwashers I was mainly after reliability. The Bosch brand was rated the most reliable by consumer reports and this model topped the overal ratings. Not tons of bells and whistles but it is inexpensive and cleans better than any I have owned. It is not the quietest but I can set it to clean after Igo towork with the delay start function. Time will tell about the reliability.

The dishwasher cleans really well and is very quiet. The only negative thing I can say are the lights are on the top of the door (No indicators on the front).

We needed to replace our old dishwasher because it was very loud and sometimes didn't clean everything well. This dishwasher is so quiet I can't it's on and cleans everything perfectly.

Great dishwasher for the money. Not a lot of extra frills, but very quiet and does excellent job cleaning.
