This is our 2nd Bosch. The first one last 18 years with zero repairs. The plastic/vinyl covering was coming off the racks, and was more than a new dishwasher to replace. We have run 20 loads through the new one. Pros: Reasonably priced, super quiet, clean DRY dishes, red light telling you it’s on, so I don’t open it mid-operation, 3rd rack is great for utensils, no air gap required. Cons: Long cleaning cycle, tines spaced/angled somewhat oddly, so fish placement is important. A little finagling is required. Our installer was the best, and gave us the key to this unit drying well. Our sink is right next to the dishwasher, but a long run from the water heater. So, run really hot water to the sink, and THEN start the unit. Note, this unit does not have a heating element, so it requires hot water to do its best. After I purchased it, I read about this and was worried, but every load has been clean and dry. Even the one I forgot to run hot water to. In the end, works great.

We have had this dishwasher for about 6 months now and it installed easily, runs very quietly, and cleans the dishes nicely. I have rated it at a 3 because of the difficulty in loading it. This is such a reoccurring frustration that I would not recommend it to anyone else. The rack prongs are just not conducive for both pans and plates, or larger items and plates. I am now trying to find alternative racks that will fit to replace the originals.

Without a doubt this is the best dishwasher I’ve ever had. It’s quiet and cleans everything perfectly. I’ve only used it on the auto setting and, so far, know no reason to change it. It is more expensive than others I’ve bought in the past. But you definitely get what you pay for. I had Best Buy do the installation and their sub-contractor was professional, efficient and complete.

Excellent dishwasher for a family that doesn’t use too many dishes or washes them frequently. It’s smaller than an average dishwasher. However, it has three levels for easy sorting. Bottom level holds taller and larger items, top level holds shorter and smaller items and additional third level pulls out all the way on top for large knives, ladles and other items that can lay flat on that rack.

I gave this 5 stars because the dishwasher really is great. It's quiet, attractive, and has a lot of space for dishes. I love the 3rd rack. If there was a place to rate the installation, I would give it a zero because it didn't happen. They allowed me to schedule drop off and installation for about a week after the purchase. Then they had to change the date. Then they dropped it off without a word about installation. So I contacted them and they said they didn't have any available dates for the next 3 months. So basically they tricked me into thinking installation was an option when really it wasn't. And they left me with a large appliance in my way with no one to install it, and couldn't even schedule my installation because they were booked so far out. Very disappointing. To sum up: Dishwasher= 5 stars Delivery= 4 stars Installation= 0 stars Best Buy= 0 stars

This is a very quiet dishwasher. That said, it's honestly because it's probably not doing much on the inside. There are many annoying parts of this dishwasher and hopefully by the end of this review you will understand why you should avoid this machine for your kitchen. First and foremost, the buttons are terrible. You never know if you're about to start the wash, if it's stuck (more on this later), if it's clean, or if you have actually told it to run. The only display is a meaningless red light on the floor that turns on if your washing dishes, or if you have forgotten to hit start, or if it's in error mode. It's terrible. It's just kind of on or off. And if you want to restart or start a program over, turning the machine on and off does not do this. You must know the secret handshake button code in order to actually reset the program. And even that works... about never. Usually it's resetting it, but then the machine locks up and then you have to restart it. Terrible user experience. 0/10 Next let's talk about the shelf that's above the bottom shelf. That thing has a little socket that it needs to fit into or else your wash doesn't start. It has a tactile feedback feature, I guess, but the problem is you can get the feedback and the washer still doesn't think it's good enough, at which point the red light at the bottom will not indicate that you have an error and the useless display on the top of the washer will look like you nailed it and it's ready to wash. I don't know if it wears out fast or if it's just bad, but we have had our washer for just over a year and it's become very annoying in that time to repeatedly come down to a dishwasher that's just waiting silently for it's shelf to be pushed in more differently full of dirty dishes. And finally when you get the dang thing to actually, it's not even a great wash. And don't even get me started on the dry (or lack thereof) features of this dishwasher. I frequently have to rewash dishes that have been through a wash cycle. Or I'll take all my dishes out and they will smell and taste just like dish soap. The cycle isn't fast at 2.5 hours. The speed cycle isn't even fast at over an hour. There's also an option for an extra dry cycle. It's necessary you will learn on your first wash and your dishes come out absolutely dripping. The extra 20-minute dry cycle is for sure worth it, but you will still dry more than half of your dishes on the way out because it's so bad. But at least it's not all of them. Oh! Did you want to rinse your dishes? I hope you didn't want them dry after. There seems to be no option for any drying after a rinse cycle even though there's a button for it which works on every other cycle option on the dishwasher. I won't claim to be an expert on dishwashers, but I have used a handful in my time on this planet and this one has been far and away the most disappointing and annoying of the bunch. I hope you avoid this dishwasher and I hope Bosch listens to some of this advice. I know I'm here because a blog I trust said this was the best of the bunch recommended Bosch machines. I can confidently say that I will replace this dishwasher as soon as I can financially justify it.

The dishwasher has performed very well. It is easy to se, well designed and very quiet. Additionally, the delivery/installation team was very professional, friendly, and thorough.

My Bosch dishwasher is 2 and 1/2 months old. While it runs quietly, I can't say it cleans as good as my old dishwasher. The glasses are not as shinny and I just took out a large salad bowl that was lying flat on the bottom shelf of the dishwasher with no obstruction to the inside of the bowl and it came out oily. I had to wash it by hand. I use all the products suggested by the Bosch instructions to clean the dishes, etc. I was disappointed in this product. Buffy

We just installed our Bosch. I accidentally started it three times before I realized it was on. I was starting to get frustrated because I didn't think it was working, until I put my ear up to it and realized it was already running!

I've had this dishwasher for about a month now - works great and is much quieter than I had expected but the buttons and racks feel very cheap compared to other less expensive units. I have also noticed that I have to select the max dry option for each wash cycle or the dishes will not dry.

It good. Make dish clean clean. So hot. So dry. Chicken tendy lick water, water taste good. On the real real the silverware basket is a bit limited in capacity. Overall it Rogers our Hammerstein.

About a month of use and we’re very pleased with the performance of this machine. Cleaning is superb and drying is equally good if you sop up excess water collected in bottoms of coffee cups at end of the wash. Use the manufacturer’s suggested detergent and rinse aid to ensure proper performance! Hoping this machine proves to have the legendary Bosch longevity.

Doesn't dry well at all... even with the "extra dry" function, dishes loaded well, and drying/rinse agent. If you want dry dishes don't buy this one.

Very disappointed! Over $700 for a dishwasher that barely sanitizes - doesn't CLEAN! On TOP of that, it does a terrible job at drying the dishes!! Don't waste your money.

Our Bosch broke down after four years but we had the extended warranty. It broke down in October, now it's January, and Best Buy has strung us along like you wouldn't believe. They will not honor our warranty, they keep replacing parts one by one. It's really unbelievable.

This broke in 3 years. Impossible to get parts. Such a waste.

Worst dishwasher I ever owned. Never dries the dishes completely. The rack set-up is so awkward that I wished I had kept my old, old model as it loaded so much better. Additionally, it arrived with damage to the front door.l

Our dishwasher broke after several months while still under warranty with Bosch. It's been over 2 months since we first called for service and it is still broken. When we first called, Bosch said it was 'a known issue' with a part. But replacing the part didn't fix it. After 3 service calls and it was still broken, Bosch said they would replace it. Except it will take them 14 *business* days to schedule. So maybe in 3 months it will be fixed?????? Not a good sign when you call their service line and the first thing you hear is about product recalls.

The layout is terrible, so loading can be inefficient and frustrating. The plastic parts inside keep coming off. Drying takes forever... but it's quiet :) Not pleasant for something you use virtually every day.
