This is by far the nicest machine I have ever owned. It is the quietest and by far cleans the best.

Anything other than ceramic based dishes will be soaked even if you use "Extra Dry" function. 2. This unit doesn't perform properly (apparently) unless your hot water is at 120F. For reference, my 3 year old natural gas water heater hits about 114F and that's scalding hot. 3. You have to use "rinse aid" to make it dry properly, according to the Geek Squad technician. Our 30 year old dishwasher they replaced this with, was much better at washing and drying. Our experience with this one has been a massive pain and we are experiencing massive buyer's remorse. I seriously hate it. I want to sell it secondhand and have it out of my kitchen. The worst part is Best Buy sales associates didn't warn us that this dishwasher doesn't have a heating element. Bosch claimed you don't need one, but then they added the Crystal system they use in new 500/800 series. So 100/300 series owners are left holding the wet bag. Do NOT buy unless you like soaking wet dishes.

However, the machine is poor quality. Does not turn off automatically. You must be home and turn machine off. The machine does not dry dishes. If you select the extra dry cycle, once the door is opened, a steam cloud meets your face. Because the machine does not dry the dishes, the moisture trapped inside the machine causes a mildew and mold smell. It is awful.
