Not worth the money. The smell out of the dishwasher is horrendous it’s some factory smell that doesn’t go away. It’s gotten better after a month but still there. The dishwasher Is not quiet at all. I can hear the spray of the arms 20 feet away. The sound level is 50 dB -60 according to my iPhone decibel meter . The only nice thing about the dishwasher is the third rack.

I am very happy with this dishwasher. It is super quiet and loads great. I am happy with how dry the dishes are, and I don't use the super dry setting (I do use rinse aid).

I had a top of the line GE dishwasher that has never cleaned my dishes! This Bosch has made me so happy. It gets baked on foods off, cleans greasy casserole dishes well, and does a great job on my silverware. I gave it a 4 star because the comment about it not drying plastic items is true, but that is a minor inconvenience to me, when everything is so clean. I DO use the recommended detergent and rinse agent. I love the 3rd rack for utensils and even small dish items. I use it more than I thought I would! I would buy this dishwasher again !

I bought a Bosch 500 series primarily due to their great consumer report ratings and recommendation of a co worker. I was concerned with the reports of it not drying dishes that I saw on numerous sites. Bosch uses a different drying technique in their dishwashers. You must follow their instructions and you will achieve spotless dishes and they WILL be dry - even plastics! Use the recommended settings of Auto and Sanitize. Use a rinse aid. If you are washing a lot of plastic containers use the Extra Dry feature or program the dishwasher for Intensive drying as the default if that option is not available on your controls. I love that you can put plastics in the bottom rack - no more "top rack only"! The third silverware drawer is great. I use it instead of the baskets and it frees up a lot of space. Very satisfied with Bosch

This is a great dishwasher! We recently moved and are now replacing the one in the new house with this one. It’s that good. Quiet, cleans dishes without pre-washing them and did I mention it is quiet!

The dishwasher I wish I bought long time ago

Just bought this unit to replace a dead Kenmore Elite unit. Installed it myself. From the beginning, you can see that a lot of thought went into this unit. The install guide was clear and concise. The routing of drain hose, supply line, and electrical is far better than our previous unit. The fit and finish is superb. And that’s before you actually use this guy. If you are buying it based on noise level, you won’t believe how quiet this thing is when washing dishes. It’s amazing, we really can’t believe how loud the kenmore units are. While I can’t say yet how the wash quality is, I’ll report it once current loans is done. One advice is to be ware that your electrical line has to be long enough to route to a side cabinet where the junction box (provided, high quality,) has to reside. Ours was just barely able to reach beyond where our old washer was (our kenmore unit had electrical connection in front of the unit). Overall, this model is worlds apart from the generic kenmore brand.

Our dishwasher broke after only having it two weeks. We called repair man had to wait another three weeks for a part. He fixed it we did washed one load of dishes and now it will not start. So I am not happy with the dishwasher for its performance it’s very quiet and it seems to get the dishes clean when it works. Definitely not happy

Most expensive and worst dishwasher we have owned

I know Bosh gets generally good reviews. That is why we decided to buy a Bosh when we moved into our new house. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a big mistake. Not only is this the most expensive dishwasher we have ever owned, it is also the least reliable. And, it does not clean dishes as well as either of our last two (Whirlpool and GE). Within 3 months, the front door would not stay closed. Bosh sent out a repairman who replaced a part in the door. Lasted for about 6 months. They then sent out a repairman again who fixed the problem. This time is lasted about 4 months. By then the warranty was up. So now we live with it, and have to push the door closed 3-4 times during a wash cycle since it keeps stopping. As far as getting the dishes clean, we are back to the ancient ways of "wash before you wash". Seriously! If we put in a really dirty dish, it is not going to come out clean. As for "Silenceplus"...well, it is a little bit quieter than our Whirlpool was, and quite a bit quieter than the GE. But I would sure take clean dishes and reliability over a very small volume difference!

This dishwasher is very quiet, it's cleaning well, but it just stopped working after 2 months of occasionally use. I didn't buy the replacement plan from best buy because I wasn't expecting a 800+ appliance to brake down after 8 weeks. Now I have to deal with bosh to get it fixed.

Save some money and pass on this one

First, the dishwasher does NOT look like the pictures. 3/4 of the front is a matte finish and the top 1/4 is stainless. It sucks up fingers print marks from across the room, and they do NOT come off. Even with a blow torch. The springs on Boschs' doors are a known defect (see countless Youtube videos). The door will smash your hand every single time you try to slip in a dirty cup or knife. The unit overall appears to be cheaply made. You'll really notice that when you try to adjust the rack height. To be fair, I haven't read the very thick manual yet. However, the manual appears to accompany a college course, not really suitable for a quick overview. Just for fun, there is also a black rubber strip along the side that seems to stick out. We had to cut it down. It gets one star because it is quiet, but that's really the only good thing you can say about it. Overall, it's overpriced ugly and cheap. There are quiet dishwashers all over the place, maybe save a few hundred, get a Maytag or GE, and buy yourself a nice dinner. By the way, Best Buy Geek squad, who installed our dishwasher, were amazing! They were the only positive thing about buying this yucky dishwasher. We only buy from Best Buy now!

    Broken. Bad support

The dishwasher broke after about month. It was stuck in flood mode and there was no way to reset it. Bosch said they would send a technician but could not get one out for 27 days! We were given local repair options but they were unresponsive. It's brand new and should be repealed immediately. Piece of junk.

We bought this because we heard nothing but good things about Bosch! Well it doesn’t dry, it’s loud! I have to pause tv for its 20 seconds of noise and then it will be quiet again. Cleans fairly well but things need to be rinsed first. The setup is weird so nothing fits.

    Worst Customer Service Ever

DO NOT buy a Bosch, my Bosch series 500 dishwasher developed an E:009 error shortly after warranty was up. This is a dishwasher that is in a condo that is lived in about ½ a year and is used only by a single man. Total usage about 1 year, twice a week. I looked up the code and it was either a heat pump or the computer. I called Bosch and told them exactly that. They said they had to send a tech for further diagnosis. The tech came to my house, looked at the Error code and said it was the heat pump or the computer. It took him 2 min, he did exactly what I did and then he tried to charge me $130.00 for the diagnosis. This is the Bosch standard; they will extort the 130.00 from their customers before they will even help. I refused to pay it and they are now holding my dishwasher hostage until I pay (meaning they won't fix it). Oh yes... and labor is $40 every 15 min. But they will not tell you how long it will take, "Depends on the tech". I WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER BOSCH, nor will my friends, or their friends, or anyone else that will listen.

    Falling Apart

    Posted .

I have had this dishwasher for a year and a half. It is falling apart! One of the tines in the bottom rack bent and then broke, and a second one is badly bent at the joint. I'm afraid of straightening it, as I don't want it to break off, as well. I don't want to have to buy a new bottom rack or entirely new dishwasher! The other thing that keeps happening is that the spinner attacked to the underside of the top rack keeps falling off. It reattaches fairly easily, but that's annoying. Then I had a mysterious problem where it would close but not start. I finally figured out that I have to jiggle it when I shut it so the water tube to the spinner aligns with its counterpart on the back wall of the dishwasher. All that said, it does wash dishes.

    Doesn't clean, doesn't dry, doesn't fit bowls...

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Everyday I have to use this dishwasher I have buyers remorse for multiple reasons. First, the design of the lower rack has the bars so close together that unless you are only putting in thin plates, it is virtually useless. Bowls, pans and other dishes do not fit and if you do put bowls in they will end up right side up filled with dirty water. I have written to the company twice about this asking if they have by chance came up with a different design for the bottom rack they can send, because I have also noticed other peoples frustration with this as well, only to be told no, sorry. Secondly, anything plastic will not dry. The instructions say to make sure the trap is clean, well, I make sure to clean it after each use. Although the dishes are hot and there is steam, there is still a lot of water all over them. Last, about 40% of the dishes do not even come clean. Almost half have to just be put back into the dishwasher. Almost all of the plastic cups that do come out clean have a horrible detergent taste to them, it's unbearable.Everyday I am fighting with this piece of junk. I even asked my husband if we can just go buy a cheap one that is loud and works, I don't even care about how quiet it is if it is going to double and triple my work everyday. Please do NOT waste your money.
