This feedback is important to us and will be shared with the appropriate groups for further consideration. Your dishwasher is designed to dry using the PureDry® condensation drying process. This is an energy-efficient, closed drying system that does not pull in outside air or use an exposed heating element. It works by heating the dishes with hot water during the final rinse. The cool stainless steel pulls moisture from the dishes. The inside of the unit will be wet at the end of the cycle, but the dishes should be dry. It's important to note that plastics don’t retain heat as well as other dishware materials and don’t dry as well. To maximize drying performance, we recommend selecting the AutoAir® option. This will automatically open the door at the end of the cycle to let moisture escape and fresh air in for drier dishes. It is puzzling that there are so many poor reviews from regular folks like us, yet Consumer Reports rates these dishwashers so highly. We used our newly installed 500 Series one time, and decided to go back to Best Buy to see if we could exchange it. The capacity of the unit is smaller than most dishwashers of the same size. Dishes on the bottom did not completely dry, and glass washed on the bottom rack of the dishwasher on the bottom streaked noticeably. I will say this, this Bosch dishwasher was dead quiet, but its performance left us unhappy. Thankfully, Best Buy gladly accommodated an exchange, and facilitated our search for a unit possessing the features and performance we desired. Five stars for Best Buy, but only a single star for Bosch.

I've tried every combination I can find, and yes I'm including the Auto Air functionality, but every single run I'm left with pools of water on cups that have flipped over, lids in the silverware tray, etc. It's nothing that a quick shake can't "fix," but having to worry about stacking wet dishes into the cupboard isn't quite what I expected from a $1000 machine.

Do NOT buy BOSCH. Parts are rare and FRAGILE.

Totally unreliable. Garbage service because parts take a long time to ship. The first time the error went away so we kept on using it. The control board ended up being flooded. We got it repaired through my home warranty because geeksquad and bosch had like a month to two month wait. The tech had to diagnose before he could order the parts. Total wait time was two weeks before repair complete. The second time the leak happened we shut off power to the dishwasher and called geek squad. One week wait. Okay that's great. Rescheduled the day before because the parts were not shipped. Rescheduled another one week out and the parts were broken. Rescheduled another week out and the parts have not arrived. Its now three weeks out and there's no ETA on when the dishwasher will be fixed. All because of parts. A pump and a float, that can break in shipping. DO NOT BUY.
