It is very quiet compared to our nearly 30 year old Maytag that finally gave out, but, and for me it's a very large but, it does not dry the dishes anywhere near as well! If you have anything that holds water it will be full when the dishes are done. Mainly this is a problem with plastic storage containers, they need to be placed completely upside down, and the lids need to be verticle. While I thought the upper rack would be really nice for silverware, spoons need to face down only and even then the results are not great for any of the utensils we've washed so far. There are many cycles and options, and frankly my wife has basically no idea how to use them. With the user manual only being available online it is highly unlikely she will read it, so now I get to add full time dish loader to the list. Thanks Bosch, not! If I had it to do over, I would have gone to a simpler, cheaper, and louder dishwasher.

Bosch dishwashers use a condensation drying process known as PureDry™ - an energy-efficient, closed drying system that does not pull in outside air or use an exposed heating element. An extra hot wash heats dishes during the final rinse. The coolness of the stainless steel interior pulls moisture away from dishes onto the tub walls, where remaining water droplets are drained away. Please note that plastic items do not retain heat as well as other dishware materials and won't dry as quickly. Your model has an additional drying feature, AutoAir®, which automatically releases the door at the end of the cycle to allow fresh air in and moisture out for better drying results. Posted .Hi MargaretP, thanks for your review. Please accept our apologies for any problems you are experiencing with your dishwasher. The following tips may help you achieve better cleaning results.
1. Make sure the dishwasher filter (located at the bottom) is cleaned regularly. To learn how to remove it, refer to your owner's manual. To remove debris, wash it with soap and a soft brush under running water.
2. Make sure there is enough space between items when loading. Ensure that the spray arms can move freely after loading the dishwasher.
3. Add rinse aid. Review your owner's manual to learn how and where to add rinse aid. Rinse aid helps water droplets slide off dishware so water marks can't be seen.
4. Clean your dishwasher's spray arms. Make sure there are no blockages in the holes by running it under water. To remove debris from the holes, use a toothpick.
5. Run a dishwasher cleaner through the dishwasher (Finish dishwasher cleaner, or Glisten Dishwasher Magic can be used).
6. Make sure you are using the appropriate amount of detergent per the instructions.
