We love everything about the Bosch 500 - it gets all my dishes squeaky clean and is super quiet. We have to listen carefully to tell if it is on. It does have a red light that shines on the floor to tell you when it is running. We love the feature where it checks how dirty the dishes are and adjusts the wash time accordingly. No more floating crud on top of the flat-topped dishes like our old dishwasher did on every load. The 3rd rack is great for flatware, knives and small kitchen tools.

We are first time buyers of a Bosch product. So far we couldn't be happier. This dishwasher is very quiet and easy to use. Everything comes out very clean and we love the 3rd rack for utensils.

It is the quietest machine ever. It cleans everything really well and uses less product which is nice. I like the third rack feature. I didn't think it would be a big plus but it's been nice to have that little extra useable space for utensils and small odds and ends that need to be washed. I use it daily. I can not get over how quiet it is though. It wasn't even one of our requirements, but it's crazy quiet.

Although we have only had this new Bosch dishwasher, we already love it. From the adjustable hieght of the middle rack to the 3rd rack, it is easy to find a spot for everything. Even the pots come out dry. It's so quite that we sometimes ask each other if we remembered to start it. Another great job by the team at Bosch.

Love the design of this dishwasher. I went from an American design (LG) to an European design with this and enjoy it. The only catch is it does not have a heating element in it to hear the water and dry. However it can leverage your hot water in a sanitize mode and dries most efficiently by opening at the end for air circulation. I like it as a cue the cycle is over. Lastly - cycles are long (3-4+ hrs) but the issues are sparkling clean. I just run at night and unload the next day.

Had the dishwasher for 3 weeks and it does really a good job of washing, drying dishes. It is quiet. The cycles are very long because of the drying. I think it is missing the following: an option "not to dry" (just open the door), time left in the cycle

Lots of features. Agree with some reviews that selecting options can be confusing but once you know the steps it is easy. Would rather have a 'CLEAN' light stay on where you can see it when done without having to pick the option of AUTO POWER OFF. Options for this feature is turns off when cycle complete, or after 1 minute or after 2 hours, or does not turn off. Once door is open the 'clean' light disappears unless you select do not turn off but you have to press the ON/OFF button because power is remain on. Confusing. Overall dishwasher gets dishes very clean, very, very quiet except for the when water drains (but still quiet). Recommend you download or read online the full manual on BOSCH website. The only thing I don't like is all the finger marks and water drip marks on the front of the stainless steel door. Lastly I like the third rack as it gives more options.

Cleans really well, very quiet and the third rack for silverware has been much more useful that we expected. Recommend taking some time to learn about the drying options, as this doesn't have a dedicated drying cycle. But if you use the AutoAir option correctly, it works fine.

I’ve had this for just over 3 weeks and have used several times. I’m impressed with how well it cleans and how ridiculously quiet it is. The third rack is surprisingly handy. I haven’t had any issues with the dishes not getting fully dry. I usually run a load just before bed and use the AutoAir feature (the door pops open slightly at the end of the cycle to offload steam). I also follow the manufacturer’s guidance and use a rinse aid. Very happy with my purchase.

Long story short. Old KitchenAid went out, bought new KitchenAid with bottle washer the whole 9 yard suppose to be great. It only washed dishes well on the toughest setting. Within the 14 day period I decided that if I had to wash dishes before washing dishes I should NOT have spent 1000.00 on dishwasher. Looked online saw the Bosch 500 was supposed to be the Best. Thought why not get the 800 series it’s better. Went to BestBuy talked to salesman and looked at two 800 series Bosch dishwasher that had been returned due to not drying well. Decided to go with 500 and test my luck knowing that if I didn’t like it In 14days I would try the 800. It has been 14 days and this Bosch 500 is Great. No matter what I have thrown at it, it has cleaned. I have tried to get it to not clean the dishes but it has prevailed, even on fastest setting which is still almost 2 1/2 hours. I highly recommend this dishwasher. Wasn’t the look I was going for, but clean dishes were more important. Not quite as quite as the 39 decibel KitchenAid, but still can’t hear it running. Win Win...

Finally---a dishwasher that truly does allow you to load dirty, unrinsed dishes without fear! Other than scraping off excess food, we're loading directly from the table to the dishwasher, and dishes, pots and pots, glassware, etc. have all come out beautifully clean. It took us a while to find the settings that gave acceptable drying results (a rinse agent is required, and the "Sanitize" setting is a must unless you're ok with wet dishes), but once we got those dialed in, the machine performed as expected. There's plenty of space for loading pretty much whatever you need to, and the 3rd rack is a nice bonus for utensils, lids, etc. Only caveat: The cycles are really long (3-4 hr.), but reportedly that's offset by it being really energy efficient. The machine is new, so we haven't yet seen an electric bill, but we're hoping. Super quiet!

After a wash, the dishes are very clean. I have used the 3rd shelf once and found it very useful for serving spoons. The dishwasher is very quiet!` The only sound you may hear is the water going into or out of the machine.

After 1 1/2 years of usage I LOVE this dishwasher!! It beats every dishwasher I've ever owned, particularly the last one. I scrape the food off the plates and put them in without rinsing and they emerge SPOTLESS. Dirty dishes can be left for several days without running. They will still be spotless. My multi-faceted glasses are crystal clear again, something handwashing nor the old dishwasher accomplished. Two deltas. The silverware basket has a cover to encase small items. The problem is that it is a one piece cover, not one per section. So you lose the usage of the entire basket for a couple of little items; such a waste. I expected better for this price point as my old cheap dishwasher had covers for each basket section. The second one is the 60-minute quick cycle is never 60 minutes. Otherwise, I LOVE this dishwasher.

What can I say that other reviews haven't already... whisper quiet, cleans amazingly, 3rd top rack is a game-changer. Really no need to use the included silverware basket if you don't want to. The 3rd rack does cut down the amount of space for taller items but the instruction manual includes ways to remove the middle & upper racks if needed. Absolutely would recommend!!

A dishwasher is a dishwasher, right? Not! We bought this Bosch 500 to replace an ageing GE Profile that was original to the house. We would only run that one at night because it was loud enough to run it while we were at the kitchen or watching tv in the den. We heard Bosch was great quality and we waited for a good sale. Reasons to buy: stainless steel interior (longevity) and 3 racks (top for utensils). But we were not ready for how freakishly quiet this thing is! You can be standing next to it and not know it's running... only the steady read light will tell you it's on. Super spacious and cleans dishes way better than our older one, granted that it was a generation or two older. Still, I can't imagine buying anything other than Bosch now.

With the 800 series being out of stock for awhile and needing a dishwasher, we bought the 500 series and really enjoy its quiet operation and thorough cleaning cycles. We allow the door to open to let the steam escape and the dishes come out dry every time. Highly recommend Bosch dishwashers. Three rack system is great and handles much more of a load than my older dishwasher.

This is the BEST dishwasher we have ever purchased. The dishwasher is very quiet while running--a very big plus- and has a red light which shines onto the floor when the unit is on. There are 2 racks for dishes and pans, one of those can be raised or lowered to fit different sized items, plus a rack especially for utensils. This is a easy installation for a qualified person. The instructions are concise and also include pictures that actually relate to the product. I do recommend a separate circuit breaker for it, for peace of mind. I do feel that there is a learning curve for running the dishwasher, but I called the Bosch help line, and received the assistance I needed. They were extremely helpful.

I replaced an 11 year old Kitchen Aid dishwasher with this one two weeks ago and I can’t believe the differences. This dishwasher truly is quiet when running. My dishes are sparkling clean. I like the third rack for silverware as it lines up with my silverware drawer making putting them away a breeze. The fold down prongs are great for larger bowls and pots. So farI am very pleased.
