The dishwasher does wash dishes really well (unlike the Samsung it replaced). That's about where the positives end. Several cycles, including rinse only, are locked behind a cloud connection and an app. In addition, the dishwasher has no real status indicators on it other than an LED. The Samsung would show the time remaining in the cycle on the LCD, however the Bosch does not. As with other 3 rack dishwashers, you can't wash tall dishes in the bottom rack and cups in the top rack without removing the third rack. Not a major deal (plus there isn't a lot that can be done without making the dishwasher taller than standard 33"), though it would be nice if the rack was easier to remove. As other reviews have noted, the dishwasher seems to have trouble fully drying dishes, and has a faint fishy odor. The dishwasher was also scuffed up on arrival, however I didn't notice until after the installer left. Finally, the dishwasher is perhaps a bit too quiet. It's hard to tell that a cycle has started when you close the door, there should be some kind of chime to indicate that it has started.

We bought this 800 series dishwasher in February 2024 to replace a Kitchenaid model that was awful in cleaning dishes. We love this Bosch. I would have given 5*, but took a star out because it requires some tweaks to get the most ideal performance. We love the quiet performance, the dishes come out clean and dry every time. We also got rid of the dreaded "Bosch fish smell" on dishes! To get this performance consistently, I recommend the following: 1. Use a rinse agent. Period. It does not matter what detergent you use, but don't skimp on the rinse agent. You need that for optimal drying and spotless dishes just like in any Bosch dishwasher that does not have a dryer element. 2. Download the Home Connect APP. There are many features including remote start, decoding symbols on the door etc. that are available only through the app 3, Use the top rack. Like many, I also complained about the cutlery basket taking up too much space. I finally discovered that I can place all the spoons & forks along with flat utensil on the top tray for spotless cleaning and allowing the bottom tray for more plates. See attached photo. We had 60+ spoons, forks and knives after our thanksgiving dinner! 4. One month after our new dishwasher was installed, we hit the fishy odor phenomenon. We had this issue with our previous Bosch 15 years ago as well, which we could not overcome despite constant filter cleaning and using dishwasher cleaner. I read that placing a piece of copper tubing helps get rid of this issue. I placed one in the middle rack (see attached picture) skeptically and in the 11 months after placing that, we have not had a single fish odor episode! My go to wash cycle is Auto with the power control spray arm turned on front and back and sanitize + crystal dry. It takes 3 hrs and 5 minutes for sparkly clean, fresh smelling and warm & dry dishes.. every single time. I wish this dishwasher had an express 30 minute short cycle for a quick wash & rinse before a dinner party. Overall, a great machine, especially after these tweaks.

My husband and I decided to give each other a new Bosch dishwasher this past Christmas. The team at Best Buy made it happen! We are very happy with the Bosch 800 Series dishwasher. It continues to exceed our expectations on cleaning and drying performance. The best part...It's so quiet when running!!! The flexible racks are awesome and allow us to load our 11" plates. We owned a Bosch 20 years ago and are still impressed with their quality and reliability. Best Christmas ever!

Quite. Beautiful machine & outstanding cleaning. At first we thought the silverware bin was too small but now, utilizing the top rack to lay-out the cutlery there is plenty of room. It’s a very nice machine that is so quiet, standing right over it, you honestly don’t realize it is on, doing its job. We have anywhere from 14 to 20 family members here at Thanksgiving and “Bosch” takes care of them all with plenty of room to clean & disinfect all the bowls, plates, cups, glasses and whatever else you put into it. We are very pleased with our choice.

Dishwasher was a solid buy, it's super silent and does it's job with getting the dishes clean. Coming from a Samsung dishwasher, I felt the Samsung did a better job on the dry setting, and self popped open the door to allow the dishes to air dry. I wish the Bosch dishwasher had this feature as there are still some wetness to the dishes even after using the dry setting. There's also not a good way to prop open the door to manually allow the dishes to air dry without opening it all the way.

Bosch dishwasher does a great job washing dishes. However, when the professional installation was complete, the dishwasher didn't work! Then it took another week to get a replacement installed. Great dishwasher but a frustrating experience to say the least. Oh, also, it's so quiet you can't tell it's running. So quiet you can't tell whether it started or not.

The design and features of our new Bosch, and not be beaten. More importantly, it does a perfect job of cleaning and drying, and it is whisper quiet. I should also add that it is a handsomely designed dishwasher. We are very pleased with this purchase and the service we received with its installation.

This dishwasher is AMAZING! Very effective at cleaning everything, Super quiet, and energy efficient! Also a ton of capacity. It blows our old whirlpool away! I’d give it 10 stars if I could!!

So much nicer than our Kitchen aid. We had repairs every year. This unit is quiet, quicker and dryer dishes. It is layed out and seems to hold more dishes.

So far really great experience. We went through 2 Samsung dishwashers in the matter of a couple weeks and landed on this unit as a replacement. Quiet, efficient, and effective. We have not had the fishy smell issue.

It works great. It’s very quiet but the only issue that we have is a smell after the wash. It’s really bad odor.

Good quality, runs quietly, cleans well, and dries fairly well. The racks are not designed as well as our old Kitchen Aid, but that is more of a personal preference. Overall we are very happy with our purchase.

Very quiet, and cleans dishes better than anything I have ever seen! The last dishwasher was 8 years old, had to rinse everything first. This purchase we spent a little more, but worth every penny. The purchase was great, delivery guys exceptional!

Very happy with our new Bosch dishwasher, 800 series. It does a great job cleaning and drying my dishes. It is so quiet too! The app connection to my dishwasher is easy to use. We did have some difficulty initially getting g the app connected. But the service representatives at the customer service number and the technician they quickly sent to our home were very professional, informed, pleasant, and most of all successfully helpful! So glad we chose Bosch!

Amazing! This fully describes the overall look, cleaning and drying capabilities, and noise level of this dishwasher. Dishes come out cleaner and drier than our old dishwasher, and we even get notified on our phones when cycles have been completed. Quality has to be the best description when it comes to Bosch dishwashers! Highly recommend!

Very quiet operation. Dish cleaning is excellent and it takes less time to dry now. Looked at a lot of brand comparisons and Bosch consistently came up as a front runner . It costs a bit more than some other options, but you get what you pay for. Best Buy did the installation and I was very impressed. Very satisfied with this purchase.

We originally purchased a different Bosch dishwasher, but that one become discontinued. They upgraded us to this one. Was bummed out that this gappened and it pushed us back an additional month. Once it was finished being installed, my wife asked the installers if we needed to run a clean cycle first, they claimed they already started it. She said she didnt belive them, but turns out the dishwasher was hot. We loaded up the dishwasher for its first run cycle. Hit the correct settings and started it up. We didn't hear anything. Put our hands on it and you tell it was running. Thankfully there is a littlw red light that says it's running, otherwise we would have no idea. This purchase was far better than we originally thought. My only complaint is that the dishes arent completely dry, but maybe it is because I've been impatient to empty.
