Not Connected, Your Screwed!!!

Owned for 4 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you can't get your dishwasher to connect to your Home Connect app, or you don't have a smartphone, you can only use about half of your dishwasher's features. Also, the online instruction manual is very lite on details of how to use most of your dishwasher's features. Think twice about a connected appliance. Is it worth the hassle?!?!?

Still getting use to the different settings and loading the dishwasher. Cleans everything nicely. All the controls on top. ( which is what I like. ) Indented for for handle , because I do not like a handle the sticks out on the appliance.

The emerald dry dosent get all the plastic dry but it is the best we have ever had. Would highly recommend and suggest spend the extra money unless you are going to replace every year.

First of all, it is hard to self-install. It does not include an elbow required to connect it to the water line. The elbow is available from any home store, but those elbows are meant for garden hose joints and not for plastic to metal joints. So, I had to make two trips to the home store before I could find one which did not leak and had good threads. The second issue is that it has two filters which needs to be cleaned after every wash cycle. The Electrolux I had never needed any filter cleaning. It did not even have a filter. With Bosch dishwasher, cleaning the filters after every cycle is an added chore. Third, it has not even been 6 months and this morning, I noticed that it was displaying a code E9240. The Home Connect app said that the filter system was soiled. I checked the filters and there was no blockage and I cleaned it very thoroughly but the error would not go away. Finally, I had to cut the power at the breaker to get rid of the error. Not sure if it is gone or will come back. Any water that is saved in dishwasher cycle will be wasted in cleaning the micro filter. Also, I am not sure which genius at Bosch decided to face the display upwards so it is not even visible once the dishwasher is mounted under the countertop. In other thoughts, this dishwasher has less space than the Electrolux. It also smells once the dishes are loaded. It needs frequent maintenance and cleaning. No mention of when crystal dry option should be used. I have noticed that if I do not use crystal dry, the dishes come out smelly. The dishwasher manual says that I can load dirty dishes without need to pre-wash. Totally wrong. Unless the dishes are pre-washed, it leaves a residue, not matter what cycle is used. For the price paid, I was expecting a very smooth end user experience, but it is far from smooth.

Super quiet Unit

Extremely quiet operation and the third rack for utensils is a game changer. Highly recommend spending the extra money for the 800 series

The previous one that had a "box" link, that is the official cord for Bosch dishwashers, was completely fried inside the box where it could not be seen. Could have burned the house down.
