AS a replacement it is pathetic. We had to call a technician out to investigate why it simply re-arranges the food debris around the items. He explained that you MUST use rinse aid, especially with Bosch machines, and you MUST use dishwasher cleaner every two weeks. What an improvement on our Maytag, where we never used either additional product! In addition, the handle fell of the top rack in week one, and I can't get it to stay on. Also, pouring rinse-aid into the dispenser is a nightmare, because you are not supposed to get the rinse-aid in the machine directly, otherwise the water foams, and does not wash ( not that we would notice). The Bosch design ensures that most of the rinse-aid will miss the dispenser and overflow around the tub. I'm also confused by the way the controls frequently light up in a random sequence, even though I only ever select the 'Heavy' sequence, and no amount of button pushing will change the lights. You just have to stand there until the machine goes back to the 'power off' mode, and start again.In sum, a waste of money

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Put in the knives and forks on the top row seems like an unnecessary extra effort rather than simply putting them in the basket like nearly all dishwashers. It definitely doesn’t wash them any better. The ultra drying benefit seems unnoticeable. Overall, I don’t think the machines anything special. It’s overly and unnecessarily complicated and sometimes requires you to use the app on your phone rather than simply pressing buttons. Cleaning process takes hours.

It doesn’t really even wash as well as the one that I had that was 15 years old.  definitely not a high-end product in anyway.  I would steer clear of this product and just go for something less expensive that works just as well.

The door has to stand open for 30 - 60 minutes with steam coming out to get the dishes dry. However, the worst thing about this dishwasher is the tiny cutlery basket for holding forks, spoons, etc. Our very old Bosch dishwasher had a much superior larger basket. Whoever did the design on this, especially the small cutlery basket, should be fired. Bosch should send all purchasers a new larger basket for free.

Use Finish® Jet Dry® rinse aid to help dishes dry faster. *This doesn't have to be added for each cycle, you fill the reservoir then the dishwasher will indicate when the reservoir is empty and needs to be refilled.* 2. For everyday use, we recommend Auto Cycle, which is best for mixed loads of dishes with varying amounts of food soil. 3. Select special drying options like "Sanitize and Extra Dry". Sanitize operates at a higher temperature to help eliminate bacteria and enhance drying results. 4. When unloading clean dishes, pull out lower racks first to avoid dripping water from the upper rack. If these tips do not help improve drying, please contact our Customer Support team at 1-800-944-2904 for additional assistance. Thank you.
