This dishwasher works super well! The BOSCH industry leading quality really shows and my dishes come out perfect. This model is super quiet and easy to use. Would buy one again.

I have had this dishwasher for a few months now and have waited to write a review until I got to know it better. After our last dishwasher (kenmore) started giving us trouble after only 2 years, I decided to look up 'best dishwasher' and found this one. It was our first BOSCH model and there are some small differences with the way it hooks up vs other dishwashers that we have had. Still, it was pretty easy to install. The racks are a little different than we have been used to but it doesn't take long to get the hang of loading it. The one downside that everyone seems to complain about is that it doesn't get the dishes as dry as older machines used to. I chalk that up to things change as the manufacturers try to squeeze a little bit more energy efficiency out of their products. Sure, it is a little annoying that the dishes might be a bit damp, but it really is not a problem. And boy, does this thing clean! I have stopped pre washing my dishes and just load it up, stuck on food, melted cheese, whatever, this thing get it all off. And it is so quiet too. I hope this one lasts a lot longer than our last machine.

I can't possibly say ENOUGH!!! I rarely write reviews, but I use them for most everything I purchase, and for this dishwasher I had to take the time to review it. It's been about 4 years now since I purchased this Bosh Dishwasher and still, to this day, it has NEVER let me down! My glasses come out sparkling! My casserole dishes come out shining! My silverware comes out gleaming! Over and over and over again I've said how I need to take the time to share my thoughts, and here it is. BUY THIS DISHWASHER, you won't regret it for one minute! A couple of hints I've learned along the way that help you get the most out of this product. My city water is very HARD. So, to help remedy any deposits on my glasses I use about 1 TBLS of Finish Salt to soften the water. I simply keep a ceramic salt box on the counter and toss in a TBLS right before I start the wash cycle, that's it. Works like magic. I use all Finish products, I find they give me excellent results. Though this dishwasher doesn't have a drying element, it's no problem! I set it to "Auto" wash and "Extra Dry". The water gets so hot to clean the dishes that if you leave the door closed over night, you'll have sparkling clean and dry dishes the next morning! I just dab any standing water from the bottoms of glasses before I empty it. DONE. I will never own any other dishwasher for the rest of my life, and I had a few before this one. Not one comes any where near close. Don't think twice, just BUY IT.

Had bad luck with 800 series. First one wouldn’t start, just beeped a bunch. Second one wouldn’t drain. Just replaced today with a different brand.

Stopped working l long ago after buying. Will not buy Bosch again.

So quiet that you do not know it is running. Does great job cleaning and drying. Has an excellent choice of cycles.

Cleans well and is very quiet. I wish it had a display while running. The user manual is not very helpful.

So full disclosure is in order here- I retired my 13 year-old Miele Excella Series and replaced it with this unit. Understand too that if I had instead replaced it with another new Miele, I would have spent twice what this unit sells for. That all being said, here's my take after 20 days of operation (and over a decade of being spoiled). Overall, this is a decent unit. It is quiet- about the same as my old unit. I find the door latch and the drawers/racks to operate a little clunky compared to what I was used to. The pull handle actually seems to flex a little bit when the door is being pulled open- like it is cheap material. I also miss the built-in salt-activated water softener as we live in an area with hard water. Operation is easy and straightforward, although the touch controls took a little getting used to. In fact, I got frustrated during install as I tried to test run the unit without it being placed all the way into the cabinet area and under the counter top (so I could leak check, etc.)... door was still closed and I couldn't get any of the touch areas to operate. Well dummy, it's designed so the controls only operate with the door open- you can't see them when it's fully installed under the counter with the door closed- doh!! Anyway, I've come away a little disappointed given the Bosch reputation and reviews. I needed a dishwasher, I don't go on the cheap when comes to major appliances, and this is was as good as I could get this time. It does a good job cleaning- some of the plastics come out a little spotty, but I'm sure the rinse aid setting needs adjustment to compensate for the hard water. Don't be afraid to go with this if it's among your final choices.

Excellent dishwasher. Loses a star because I don’t really see the “Crystal dry” working that well. When I open the dishwasher everything is still pretty damp. Kinda wish I got the model that popped the door open at the end of the cycle.

Cleans great, better than my last dishwasher which was a different brand. Everything dries dry, including the concave or cupped bottoms of glassware that are facing up. It is very quiet, thankfully the red light it emits on the floor lets me know it is on.

We have been very pleased with our new dishwasher. Our previous dishwasher (a different brand) leaked and damaged our floor; we are grateful that this new dishwasher has aqua stop to prevent damage to the floor. This dishwasher has a nice layout, with great organization inside.

We bought the dishwasher for the quiet operation. Works as advertised. Cleaning is average at best. Baked on goods, not even close, tea mugs, not even close. I can get both clean better by hand. Really needs a second spray bar. Be prepared to pay extra for pods (manual says powder or liquid are fine) and cleaning liquid, without, cleaning is sub par. Overpriced average dishwasher. Find a happy medium between quiet and good cleaning model.

A great dishwasher! Everything comes out sparkling and clean

This is my first experience with Bosch, and I'll start with what they got correct. 1. Installation - The electrical plug and leveling system make installation much easier than competitive brands. I very much like that you can adjust the level of the back of the dishwasher from the very front of the unit. 2. Quiet - It's a relatively quiet unit. It is far from silent, but it seems to match other units in this range. Now for what they got wrong, and there is a lot. 1. The rack system is horrible. Nothing fits well because of the tine angles and the awful gaps between them. I would say that I can fit about 30% fewer dishes in this unit when compared to my old GE. Even the 3rd rack for silverware is spaced to close together and you have to bend the plastic tines to jam your silverware in there. 2. The bottom rack constantly falls off the rails, dumping your dishes. 3. Drying - I have no idea what the heck people are talking about when they say this unit does a superior job drying dishes. I chose this unit over the others specifically for the flavor crystals! (The crystaldry system.) This is 100% a gimmick. After literally a 3 hour washing & drying cycle, my dishes come out completely wet. It turns out that if you just make water hot but keep it in a sealed environment, all you get is hot water! If your dish or mug has even the tiniest lip, it will absolutely be wet. You have to open it, pour off all the water, and let it dry another half hour. These things waste 2hours of heating for absolutely nothing. Just open the front door. 4. User Interface - It's not terrible, it's just not great. It's particularly annoying that you have to turn off the unit and then turn on the unit again each time you want to start a new cycle. 5. Aesthetics - This thing is very utilitarian compared to others in the same price point. Big square chunk of metal that looks like it should be in a commercial kitchen instead of a home kitchen. 6. Washing - Washing is just mediocre. It does okay on most stuff, but smaller cups just don't get washed well. Also, any tiny bowls or tupperware comes out filled with dirty water. That's because there is NOWHERE that they can be placed in the rack in a secure way. Halfway through the wash cycle, they pop up, flip over, and fill up with recirculating dirty water. It's gross, particularly when you go to move it and the dirty water spills on your clean dishes. I DO NOT recommend this unit. If it were $600, maybe. At nearly $1,400???? You have to be nuts. This thing performs no better than a bottom of the line budget unit.
