    Amazing

We remodeled a non existent kitchen with an awful stove and no microwave or dishwasher. We decided that, if we were to sell a home we would have to have these items. We settled on the Bosch based on Consumer Review as well as reviews on BB website. It truly is the quietest dishwasher I have ever been around. The interior is SS which is a must! The dishes are coming out so clean it is amazing! We even have about a 4" gap next to the unit (waiting on a filler panel) and it is still quiet! The only curious thing is you have to turn off the washer. Not like it keeps running mind you, but once it has reached the end and the clean light is lit, you have to push the on/off button or the lights stay lit. Not a deal breaker but curious, you know. I love this dishwasher and am so very happy with it. Look at this model if you are in the market for a replacement, you won't be disappointed.

This should work well in our remodeled kitchen. We like the color and the options in the product.

Dishes and door look dirty. Loading is not easy due to so much built in stacking.

    Quiet, Complex to run, Well-Built

Replaced Frigidaire dishwasher I had 13 years. I went from buying a returned floor model to splurging for a Bosch because Best Buy had such awesome deals. Installer was terrific but I don't understand all the 'easy to install' reviews. You need to have some experience as a handyman because this is not an easy as plug in appliance to install. Dishwasher is extremely quiet. I was concerned about rack space but a lot of dishes and appliances fit in, maybe more than my old dishwasher. Only negatives is this runs for at least 1.5 hour no matter the setting. Also the controls are not well-designed. I don't like having to turn dishwasher on every time I want to run it. It also does not save your setting. It defaults to auto-wash. I also could not find any explanation of controls in manual if you can believe that. I had to call Bosch to figure it out. There's also a detailed layout on where to put spoons and forks that would make a rocket scientist proud. But my dishes get clean, even cleaner if you use the Finish tablets but too expensive and environment concerns lead me to use store brand detergent. I'm concerned how long the buttons will work as the on/off seems flimsy compared to the start button. If it lasts 13 years or more, I would be pleased. And I would expect it based on being a Bosch, who the installer said they install 80% of time.

    It actually cleans dishes.

When I remodeled my kitchen last year I purchased a Samsung dishwasher. It was horrible- it didn't clean dishes at all and made my water glasses filthy with mystery gunk. I had to handwash everything and then put it in the dishwasher... which was pointless. I finally got a refund after numerous and frequent complaints. I was somewhat skeptical that a dishwasher would work after this experience but decided to give this cute little Bosch a try. I LOVE IT!!! It actually washes dishes, and I don't have to totally handwash beforehand. I haven't had trouble like the other reviewers about things staying wet, but it does go through rinse aid pretty quickly. But whatever - it washes dishes. It isn't as quiet as it claims to be but the noise of the water sloshing around is kinda soothing and relaxing... I love the Auto Clean - I don't have to worry about having particular settings. It has an easy to get at and clean little compartment that you just rinse out every now and again, no biggie. It's cute too. Overall I highly recommend it. Especially after the last one. Thank God it worked cause after the Samsung experience I was about to put in cabinets instead.

This machine was highly recommended to me. I do not need a lot of frills, and it fits the bill. It is very quiet, and it does a good job of washing. You need to use the "Extra dry heat" setting to get satisfying dryness. Without it, I had water in the cup bottoms. It's a good machine for the price.

Very satisfied with this purchase. Glasses come out spotless, and dishes come out clean with no pre-rinsing. Easy to program, but would like to know where in the cycle it is. This dishwasher is extremely quiet. So far so good.

I've had about 1 month. i love the fact it gets them clean the first time. I used to run my dishewasher with Lemi-shine powder and Jet Dry as a rinse agent and Quantum pacs and I no longer use the Lemi-shine and the glasses are clear again(note: after first using lemishine there were no problems but it got worse and worse) My old unit was a cheap-o Heir and it did okay for a about 3.5-4 years, but i didn't know what i was missing. This Bosch is about 300 more but I don't use as much electricity(no heater required) I won't need Lemi-shine anymore(saves hundreds over the life of machine). I am glad it has food trapper for the little pieces of food and it is so quiet! Only major drawback is the size of the interior and how much you can get in a load(Family of 5).

This is my first Bosch product, I must say I'm very pleased with it. Very Quiet, installed very easy, Cleans dished very well. The first time I used it I put in an Tea stained strainer from a drip Ice Tea Maker. It was very nasty! Well I put it in and it came out totaly clean, not just in the area facing the sprayer but even the top which was facing up! WOW. Put all the dishes in with out pre-rinse, even let them sit for two days before starting, only one bowl came out dirty and it had turned over and was full of water. The glasses were spotless. Didn't even program it for the drying Cycle and the dishes were very dry! Hopefully it last!

Great way to buy a Bosch dishwasher at lower cost

I bought the Bosch Ascenta on sale last week, and Best Buy was offering free installation on Bosch dishwashers. It was delivered today and easily installed. I ran it once today. It is very quiet and cleaned the dishes very well. I allowed the dishes to sit with caked on taco soup residue before placing them in the Bosch. The Bosch cleaned them perfectly. Contrary to the many who criticize the Bosch for not drying the dishes, all of the dishes were dry with the exception of the tupperware containers. The stainless steel inner walls were also wet when I removed the dry dishes. Bosch is the only dishwasher that consistently gets higher marks than the other lines of dishwashers. My parents have had one for years, and a good family friend also has one. They are all very pleased as am I. Great job, Bosch and Best Buy. Once again, I am a happy customer.

    Wouldn't Buy Again

I agree with some other reviewers on several things. You must not pull out the bottom rack all the way or it falls off the track; poorly arranged tines make for difficult loading; doesn't hold as much as I expected and need; no heated dry. The only reason we purchased this was because it was the only black dishwasher in stock in town that we could find on that day; we had company coming and were therefore in a rush. I normally read reviews first, but did not in this instance due to the time element involved. I tried to return it about 2 weeks after purchasing (I had gone on a business trip a few days after purchasing) but was told it was basically too late. So I have tried to just live with it, but am still not happy with it. Yes, it IS quiet, and IF you do certain things, your dishes will be clean. If you make sure your running water in the sink is hot before you start it, AND if you use the recommended Finish Powerball and Jet Dry (we also add a tablespoon of Lemi Shine), AND if you use the Sanitize and Autowash cycles, THEN your dishes will be clean. The plastic items are still somewhat wet, but that was true in my old dishwasher that DID have heated drying. The last thing is that if you don't leave the door open for several hours after emptying out the clean dishes, you will soon find a musty mildew smell in it, probably due to the lack of heated drying. I also moved the silverware basket to the back of the rack to make more room for the dishes, and I laid down the one top rack row of tines that folds down to create more space. We are sorry we purchased this and have learned a good lesson. Read reviews FIRST, even in a time crunch situation.

We have an open-floor plan house, so noise is really an issue. This dishwasher is so quiet, we don't have to turn the TV up any more while the dishwasher is running. You can fit a ton of stuff in it, and everything comes out spotless. I didn't realize what a poor job my old Frigidaire dishwasher was doing until we got this Bosch.

The dishwasher was easy to set up. It is extremely quiet. The wash cycle is long but the dishes come out clean and without streaks or dullness. The dishwasher has a large capacity but there is very little flexibility in the racks.

Washes great, extremely quiet... but small

Overall, we are very pleased. Most importantly it cleans and dries the dishes superbly if you use the recommendations in the users guide... auto wash with sanitize and rinse agent. I'm using much less detergent and getting superior performance over our ' 97 Kitchenaid. The interior is small though. Be prepared to run more loads if you have lots of dishes. It also took some practice to find the right use of the racks/tine set up. It would be better to have more flexibility especially for the $520 price we paid. We're pretty happy with it overall though... I didn't want to go up to the $700+ models to just get some rack efficiency especially because Consumer Reports qualified this model so highly for the money. One thing is for sure, Bosch can clean the dishes.

    Great So Far

We got this model at a deep discount, thanks to a sale. Bosch is a great brand, and though we've only had the dishwasher for a month so far, we have been very happy. The model is very quiet, it looks good, the dishes get clean and it is engineered in such a way that the space inside the dishwasher is maximized. If I have any concerns at all, it is that there is no drying feature (steam dries), so that we have to wait longer to empty the dishwasher. Given that we knew about this going in, though, and that it might be an issue, this is a minor complaint.

We were looking for a well built and quiet unit to replace our previous dishwasher that only lasted 6 years before it wore out. Bosch is true to its name so far, a well built, quiet unit that is easy to install and easy to use. We are learning how to load the racks the most efficient way. Lower rack for dishes and silverware is straight forward, it is the upper rack for glasware and overflow that has us scratching our head. We would recommend Bosch to anyone.

This is a great dishwasher if you are looking for something to run quietly. Our family room is pretty open to the Kitchen and with the dishwasher running, you really can't notice with the TV on. Walking into the kitchen you hear a trickle of water. Much different from my previous dishwasher. The rack layout is a little odd, but we make it work. No heating element, so no melting of the plastic items. Keep pletty of drying agent loaded and you dishes will dry very well. There is a sensor light when that is getting low.

This dishwasher cleans incredibly well and is very quiet. I did weeks of research before I made my purchase, and the time I invested paid off! The price I paid was below what I planned, and I am confident that I wouldn't have gotten a better product if I had paid twice the price. Bosch models have been criticized because they don't dry dishes completely....follow the directions and use a rinse aid....the problem is basically solved!

I'd been looking at this model for a while because of the half load feature since the kids are grown and gone. With our open floor plan our old dishwasher was really noisy making TV watching and conversation difficult. This model is very quiet, very efficient. Everything dries with Auto setting and Sanitize. Really a quality product and the price was great-- on sale, free delivery and take away and free installation. Great sale.
